My new draft crush is Miles Boykin at WR. I think he would be perfect complement to Bills WR core.

His combine numbers sure were surprising. He never showed much separation. Always looked like he was running with cement shoes on, but has good hands and can go up for the ball for sure. Where the heck was all that speed when i was screaming at tv to get one of the young speedsters on the field during the playoff! ?

Astro is the Bills correspondent for Drafttek, and I note in their latest Mock draft they have Quinnen Williams as the Bills pick at 9...

    Dreams are free I guess...

They also have Ridley at Pick 40 and Julian Love at 74...  Hope Beane did a good job fixing the OL in Free Agency..

If Julian Love is there in 3rd round you run to the podium and trample over anyone that is your way. Legit #1 CB. Night and day anytime he wasn't in game for ND. He prob doesn't make it out of the second though.

While the Bills didn't get a Richie Incognito pro bowler for the line. What they did was improve what they had on the roster and that center is a big part of it.  Feliciano, Nsekhe and Spencer Long are all better then what the Bills fielded last year.

Mitch Morse, 6'6'' 305 in his four years with the Chiefs with 49 starts has had 11 penalties with 7 holds, 4 false starts, 11 penalties total. While not a pro bowler he is a solid starter at center. A+ grade IMHO

Feliciano, 6'4'' 325 in his four years with the Raiders has played in 48 games with only 8 starts, 3 holds, 3 false starts, 7 penalties total.

Spencer Long, 6'5'' 318 in his 5 years in the NFL 53 games, 44 starts 2 holds, 1 false start and 2 that were declined, 5 penalties total. RG

Ty Nsekhe, 6'8'' 330 in his 5 years in the NFL 56 games, 16 starts 3 holds, 6 false starts, 2 declined, 11 penalties total.

Plus, the Bills still have the rest of free agency and the draft to further upgrade the line if they want.

Wow, those are some big boys... ?

Without cheating, who's 2018 stats are whose?

    WR1 - 15 starts, 102 targets, 56 receptions, 652 yards, 7 TDs, 54.9 catch %

    WR2 - 15 starts, 97 targets, 42 receptions, 715 yards, 5 TDs, 43.3 catch %

I think most are just having a hard time forgetting how bad Zay was in year one. He had a decent year last year and it was a huge improvement. I did this same comparison for just about every "must have" tier 2 receiver free agent that was out there, and they had pretty similar stats. He is just now going into year 3 while those guys were on expired contracts. Zay is going to be all right guys.

I'm going by what I have seen the last two years. His first year in the NFL was horrible. He had a couple good games last year but major inconsistency overshadowed that. Makes routine NFL catches look difficult. He may still have a shot in training camp but the writing is on the wall.

agreed. He showed some confidence at the end of the season and looked to be in sync with Allen. They both need that to carry over to camp and build on it. The good news is we just grabbed a couple of guys that are there if he doesn't take the next step. Depth is good! ?

  7. I think they are doing the same thing to offense as they did to defense when they first came onboard. Plugging in guys that have value and then will add guys through draft and coach them up. Didn't we have a top defense last year? If all goes the same on O they should be alright. Throwing large contracts at a couple single players is a good way to limit multiple areas of the team and end result, you will be bad. We do not need any super star players that won't buy into the process....

It’s like overpaying for a slower Scott chandler.

I loved Scott Chandler. His snow shovel TD celebration is still one of my favs.. ? Clay was supposed to be an upgrade, but we never saw it unfortunately..

edit: Kroft also had a faster 40 coming out of college then Chandler btw

You can say that about every high priced guy.  So now we are going to complain if they pay that price?

cry when they don’t sign anyone...

cry when they do cause it was too much money..

this is place is unbelievable sometimes

OK, way to turn my post into a comparison against everyone else's opinions on this board.

cry when they don't sign anyone... Please show me where I did this

cry when they do cause it was too much money.. Again, please show where I did this

SMH... yes indeed this place can be unbelievable.....

I mean he is faster than Antonio Brown, speed to get separation is not a concern now that the combine is over.

Faster then Antonio Brown in their underwear. These guys should really run with full equipment on, I bet we would see different results across the board if that was the case.

If the guy is there in the 2nd round its a no brainer, you take him. At 9, I'm not so sure. Depends who else is sitting there. They will take bpa and I'm hoping that pick will be a monster.

  12. A lot of people write off Suh because he is known as a dirty player, but don't forget Incognito was also known as a dirty player. He turned out to be the best lineman we had here in Buffalo in a long time. I think Suh would be the same, but I too would be concerned about what that would cost to get him here. With money already thrown at Star, not sure id want a bunch more thrown at DT...

No, it was a BAD, in fact VERY BAD route.  Your memory fails you on this one.

Zay stumbles his feet untouched on his cut and causes him to angle sharper to the sideline and turn to look for ball late.  Had he NOT done that, he walks in untouched for game winner.  But because of that, he made an easy routine catch on a wide open play into a stretched out attempt to save the play in which he failed to also make.

This play was then and still is 100% on Zay.  TT critics wanted to ignore the indisputable video evidence and put it on him, but everything is right there on tape.

I also think that one play was one that haunted him and led to his confidence issues and mental off field issue in the offseason.  He doesn't seem like a guy who can shake off a mistake.  And thats not a good quality to have if you are a WR given no WR ever catches 100% of the catchable balls thrown their way.

Maybe. My memory is pretty bad, because I remember this as last year, but it was indeed 2017. 2017 was a bad year for Zay I will agree. Which is why I think he grew a lot last year. Him even having an average year last year was growth(although i still think he was better then average). Here is to hoping Zay 3.0 shows up to camp and ready to roll. That would be best for everyone ?

You mean like that time he cost us the Panthers game and the entire team tried to console him? There was plenty of reaction going on. Some on the sideline, and some in the locker room.

That was a dropped ball not a wrong route. He was wide open because he ran a good route. The team was behind him 100% after. Still not getting your point of him not running the right routes..

This is the part where folks will blame Tyrod for an unusually high amount of uncatchable balls instead of Zay for running incorrect routes. Every other WR on the team had a significantly lower uncatchable rate than Zay, but that couldn't possibly be Zay's fault.

If he wasn't running the right routes, wouldn't we see some sort of reaction from the QB or coaches at some point? It was actually the opposite we heard that Zay was the one helping another Lazy dumb WR on the team get in position most of the time. Again does Zay need to get better to be a true #1, no doubt about it, but to think he is a bum and will be off the team after showing growth last year just seems silly to me. I'm just glad the kid stayed on the field and was able to grow with Allen. Them two building more on that will be great for both of their development going forward. Can't wait for camp!
