Not hate, its fair to look at the roster and see places we can and will improve.  And taking an honest look at him, several us don't see any part of his game that he does well...at least not yet.  Doesn't mean he cant improve more, but right now, he has yet to establish any single part of being a WR as something he excels at.  So not about hating him, I know I would love for him to succeed and will root for him to do so.  I don't care if my "gut feeling" is correct of wrong, I just want a much stronger WR room for Allen to work with.

Your comment is one that has been said here many times now.  Production is being over exaggerated, this is why looking at stat totals is so misleading.  Those numbers are pretty bad for a 16 game starter in his 2nd year on a team that desperately needed more help from its WR's.  22 games out of 30 with less than 40 yards, including 10 of his 16 this year, is not a good season.  Having a couple good games against a woeful Mia team doesnt make a career either.

So don't confuse fair criticism or speculative doubt as "hate", its not personal at all.  I and some others are just skeptical he can beat out better competition to play WR1, WR2 or the main slot WR.  Hey if he wins the job against better competition this year, thats great for all of us as that means he took a step forward and earned the spot.

Fair point. Maybe I am too optimistic at times. WR is a position that can take time to excel at in the NFL. Some recent elite tier Wrs have made an exception to this rule recently and leaves many of us wanting more for sure. If he gets into year 3 and he is not performing then I'd start to worry, but I think the kid will be fine. I 100% am with everyone though in getting another stud if possible. Can never have enough weapons!

Can we add targets to catches ratio to these stats? 176 targets; 83 catches..... now I am no maths grad but it means he catches fewer than 50% of the balls thrown to him.

    That is no bueno.

I've always hated this stat. An off target or defended ball is considered a target. Wouldn't always fall on the WR...

I love the way Tranquil plays, but he doesn’t seem big enough.  He could be a wrecking ball at safety.

He reminds me alot of Harrison Smith. Smith was a tweener linebacker too small to play it in the nfl and has transitioned nicely to say the least at safety. Very similar highly instinctive player. Will be nice to see if he can make it in the big leagues too.

  3. In college football, Coaches are going for it on 4th and short just about everytime and ususally with good success. I see this slowly becoming the trend in NFL. Its a high percentage play. you just have to move the ball a yard or 2. More times than not you are going to convert these which can lead to more points. If you have a good D like the Bills do, why not go for it more? More plays for Josh Allen is a ++++

I just watched it and there is no similarity IMO.

Same, he made a catch and came down awkwardly on his leg.

These guys are paid to play football. Play it to best of ability. He could get injured dropping back to throw a pass. Should we say oh no don't drop back and throw a pass, its too risky? Fate is in the hands of the football gods. If you are going to get injured, get hurt making a play(not slipping on a mat)...

  5. A mobile qb outside the pocket has to be given every right to break a tackle or make a play.. This isnt 2 hand touch. A tackle has to be a tackle and Suh failed. Progress was not stopped as he was still moving laterally. Sure if he slams him off his head it is a pentalty for Unnecessary roughness, but that is Suh's job to be in the right position to make a legal tackle, in this case he wasnt and he got beat...

  6. Chandler is second on the team in rec. yards and catches. The number 1 has 4 more catches and 28 more yards. If Chandler is one of the worst players on the team, as some of you are saying, maybe we should just replace the whole offense.........

Receiving numbers are down accross the board due to inconsistancy at qb(multiple injuries and multiple inexperienced qbs behind center as a result). TE will be fine, Wr is ok - still lacks that mythical catch the ball even when hes covered type of guy. OL has been pathetic as of late, in run and pass blocking. LG - Doug Legursky looks like a college level gaurd out there. RT - Pears played his worst game as a bill this past week.

Also has anyone else noticed how slow Jairus Byrd looks out there in pursuit? Last week he was out ran by a LB(bradham) chasing running back into endzone on long run. This past week I noticed the same slowness, He can not run down anyone from behind. Maybe its the fasciitis creeping up again???

  7. I think Da'Rick Rogers

I agree.. The scouting on this guy is that he can go up and get the ball. He had a 39.5" verticle at combine. Hes big at 6'2" 220lbs. All nix has been saying the whole time is he wants a big guy that can go up and catch the ball when hes covered. Sounds like a good match to me. He tore it up at tennessee before the drug issues. If he cleaned up his life I see it as a good pick.

Justin Hunter, another big guy with huge verticle : 6'4" 200lbs with 39.5 verticle.

I'm def excited to see what we do. Ertz is intriguing also as a big receiving target.

  8. P.S. Someone please explain how Buddy Nix missed so badly by drafting DB Aaron Williams with a #2 pick right before Andy Dalton in the 2011 draft. There was no Tom Modrak excuse for the 2011 Draft. Besides CJ Spiller (who was Gaileys waterbug) where are all the future pro bowlers from the Buddy Nix drafts? This is the man the Buffalo Bills are trusting to find their franchise QB?

I wouldn't give up on Aaron Williams just yet. He's been battling injuries the first 2 years so far(played in only 9 in 2011 and 11 in 2012). His rookie year he showed great promise, enough so that everyone thought this past year we were set at corner with him and Gilmore starting. He took a step back and look absolutely ridiculous in coverage this year, but hoping he comes back healthy this season and regains his confidence. Dalton is Avg and would be 6-10 just like fitz, or worse on this team. If fitz had A.J. Green to throw to opposite of stevie, were in the playoffs.

  9. Im leaning towards either Ezekial Ansah,or Milliner.

Ansah was a beast in Senior Bowl. Guy was flying everywhere.

Vince Williams from Florida St. looked really good too. Not sure where these guys are valued in draft as I havn't seen enough of them. I'm an ND fan and watch Teo for 4 years. He was the most talented on D from the moment he stepped on field, flashing greatness and really came into his own the last 2 years. If he is there at 8 I think its a given, the Bills have to take him. He played like crap in NC Game, but that was a fluke from long lay off and fake GF BS. The guy missed 2 tackles in whole 2012 reg season. Hes a true leader with great instincts and would be a huge upgrade over Shep. Think Luke Kuechly, but more size for better run stopping. Luke was #9 last year in draft and worked out pretty well for Carolina.
