After seeing how little we added to the offense, unless we add some major production prior to start of the year we are poised to have one of the most talent depleted offenses in football. If you asked me my preference between AJ and Tyrod I would say AJ, but that's only if he has play makers around him. Tyrod can't take advantage of play makers as much AJ can, but the reality is, we have nobody outside of McCoy. AJ holds the ball like Taylor, high sack rates, little mobility, much more turnover prone. What Tyrod can do is generate yards on his own. He helped mask the offensive line issues. He didn't commit turnovers. I'm certainly not arguing at all that an upgrade was required over Taylor. I just just think with this current roster Taylor would have given us a better chance to win games.

just another sour we did not draft Rosen post.

We get it you don’t like Rosen.

This analysis makes me feel more worried.

Not me the guy studies this for a whole year that’s all he does. He works Monday through Friday it’s his full time job. No one knows for sure how it will work out ?️‍♀️. But based on his reports and knowledge of these draft picks he rated the Bills the best. Several other draft experts have the Bills at the top or near the top. So yes I am proud of Beane and the Bills. Most people who are not were Rosen fans and there not excited about Josh Allen.

Just two things that are funny in case you missed them.

Darnold had a short video post 4 hours ago. He is shown into a conference room FULL of hundreds of helmets and footballs everywhere and someone asks him "You got some music on your phone"? And he sighs and someone laughs. The upshot is he has to autograph all this stuff.  I can't link this it is Instagram.

Mayfield has a video on his Facebook of him waiting with his family and friends as the draft begins. Baker is sitting in front of the TV holding his phone. The announcer on TV says "There is John Dorsey hydrating for the most anticipated first round draft selection we have seen in some time" Everyone looks very nervous and then Baker's phone rings. Baker looks and then whirls around to see his friend standing behind him and says "Why would you do that??" God bless him then he laughs and tells everybody his buddy called him. Then everybody laughed. I think I might have tried to kill my friend but he took it like a champ and I think it might have actually helped.

It's about 3 minutes in if you want to watch.

So awesome, it was worth the time to watch. I have mad respect for Baker Mayfield. Browns fan should be proud to have him. This guy is a worker, he walked on twice and ended up as the best college QB in college history based on QBR rating. One of the greatest football stories ever. I think it’s very cool how he did his draft day. I loved this video and what it ment to him and his family.

Im so sick of the social justice grandstanding about some nonsense a white farm kid from a small town said when he was 15/16. Probably grew up very isolated.

Get over it. If he proves himself to be a racist or bigot he will run himself out of town. Anyone who actually knows him seems to not think that is the case.

It is so easy to go on the radio and act like a saint. Thank goodness they didn't grow up in an era where everything you said/did was recorded and archived. There is plenty to criticize about his game, can we not spend hours being politically correct and pandering? It is unlistenable.

I wanted Rosen, but you know what? Im on the Allen train. He is "our guy" now.

This is such a great post. People who did not have Allen as the QB they wanted should take your advice.

    1. Draft a project QB in the 1st round

    2. Doesn't bring in a coach to teach project QB. Our HC has no idea how to develop a QB, our OC doesn't exactly have much experience either, and our QB coach has been a WR coach for the past 10 years. Very concerning.

    3. Draft heavy on defense (despite how much better defense was than offense). Whaley did move up for Watkins but he drafted mostly defensive players when Rex came, changed the system and drafted 3-4 players who are all gone now.

Pretty worrying so far. Our defense def had holes to fill, but I think some people tend to forget how many games they won us this season. I can maybe think of 1 or 2 games where the defense let us down. This offense right now is not an ideal place where a rookie QB can come and learn. We have the worst line in the league by a longshot. We have 1 extremely injury prone WR and an aging RB.

I Predict none of this you just wrote will come true. I don’t think it’s close to what the Bills are all about.

  6. So happy to see this and to play in seattle with his brother is awesome. He is really a inspiration to everyone. I would of loved him in a Bills uniform but it ended well for him.

I have no idea how Allen is going to work out.

But I love this kid's through the roof potential. I have loved this kid since I was watching him in 2016.

How many of us have actually been watching him since 2016? I am one of them.

If he works out........... we are looking at John Elway for 15 years here and who the heck wouldn't want that?

Spot on and oh so right this kid will light it up.

Can’t wait for this guy to get going.

How is what he said actually racist?  It's insensitive if he meant it as him being Hispanic means he likes tacos, but that's not actually racist

All Gill was saying there are a lot of good mexican restaurants in NYC. So the liberal snow flakes heard this guy is old and white and he is being racist. typical social warrior bull cra&&&p

All I know is that he has knowledge of NY restaurants.  And racism.

And I cannot give you a brake.  Break maybe but no brakes for you.

Gil knows more about football then almost anyone in NFL History. So your just making a fool of your self.

I just want to mix it up a little and rant/complain about the media.

I was listening to the draft yesterday on Sirius XM.  Channel 88 had Will Hernandez on there right after he was picked by NY.  Gil Brant said "You will like new York, they have a lot of Mexican restaurants there."

Could he have just came out and said "hey, buddy, do you like tacos?  Cause your name is Hernandez, right?"  What a waste of a microphone that guy is.  Why does he still have a job?

I know it's convenient to pile on old white dudes as being racist- it's like calling water wet - but CMON, MAN!

    I cannot STAND that guy.

Gil Brandt has more knowledge in his Pinky Nail

then you will have in your entire Lifetime. More snow ❄️ flake drama. Give me a freaking brake. Just turn off your radio and go find your safe space.

I hope you're right on all of it here!

The base and footwork, we have to see it in games of course before we call it 'squared away'.  No blitzing and limits on defensive packages in Senior Bowl.

Re 1,000 letters I do wonder in hindsight if the tweets had something to do with that.  I believe colleges these days research social media & background too.  Issues along those lines may have impacted a HS player on my kid's school team not getting offers (the player in question had put slurs about an opponent on SM then removed them but....).

It would not surprise me that someone with the Cardinals leaked those to Yahoo sports to get him to drop. Lot of teams have ex FBI agents that work for them for the security and back ground checks of players. It’s reported that they were not happy and devastated when the Bills traded up to draft him. When it comes to football and drafting, these teams do some back handed stuff.

  12. Just real good stuff here, I see Kirk becoming a coach or going Into broadcasting when he is done. Allen is a late bloomer. Really the guy believes in himself. 1,000 letters sent out and not one scholarship. How good could his coaching have been at Jr. College his first 2 years of college. Wyoming is not a guru of QB coaching talent. This guy is just beginning to see his potential.  Jordon Palmer really got him squared away on his base and foot work. It showed at the senior bowl with near 70 percent completion and 2 TD’s. He seems humble and all about the team. I get a good vibe nothing has ever been handed to him. He has had to fight for everything he has gotten. We are lucky to have him his arm talent is Fave and Elway lethal. Allen had the best wonderlic score. Man his potential could be off the charts. Maybe beane and company really do know what there doing. Also a few of his games when he was playing power 5 teams at Wyoming it was jail break. Allen was literally running for his life. No one would have done well playing with the protection he had. He is a diamond ? that is about to get polished. The Bills will be reaping the rewards.
