  1. I read this some where. Patrino wanted to use him

as a weapon. So he had lots of planned run plays just for him. This has nothing to do with him being a running QB. He is trained to always pass first. Then after his progressions are done and there is room to run he will do it. Many videos on youtube showing this. How is that any different then Cam Newton or Elway or Rogers. Jackson is a passer and he has the stats to prove it. Also he is as good a passer as Darnold or Mayfield. The Dude can flat out play. I’m think this guy is going to be great. I’m all in on the Bills drafting him. He is a weapon and it will be difficult to contain him. This guy is a better runner then Barkley and his stats back it up. How would you like to have a QB that is a better runner then Barkley and pretty much as good a passer as anyone in this draft. I do not want to face this guy twice a year. If the Dolphins or Pats get him there will be hell to pay.

    NO.

He's a better idea. Scout for a QB that you can get without trading away all your picks. Note that many of the quarterbacks considered to be franchise caliber today were not drafted at the top of the 1st round.

if you go back and read the 1st post In this thread.  I said I’m not for this and I stated this in the thread. The point I was trying to make is the 80 percent want one of the top 3 QB’s no matter what. Then a lot of them want the first QB taken. So I’m trying to prove my point that do you really want that. I for one do not. Im ok with Allen, Rudolph or Jackson. Mcbean will try but even if he offered 4 1st round draft picks it might not happen. So are you going to blame Mcbean. It’s being reported the NYG turned down 3 first round draft picks and 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder. So how much more of this Insanity are the 80 percenters will to go for one of those top 3 QB’s.

I apologize too for some of the things I said.

And I Fully agree about the politics. I actually blocked all those 24 hour news channels from even showing up on my TV. lol.  I don't watch much tv anyway. I have my few shows that I DVR and that's about it.

I come here to avoid all the crazy political nonsense going on out there. The Bills and Sabres are my escape.

Big on music as well (listening and playing). Ive been playing since I was a kid (drums since 3rd grade and guitar since about 14-15).

That’s great to hear about your love for music. I restore old jukeboxes and old pinball machines for my retirement job. Love that you play instruments and it makes you happy. Music is the gift that keeps giving.

    Hey @Thurmanator 12074

as you know, we had our battles over Rosen.

I would just like to say that I can see you are truly making an effort to tone down your posts on Rosen and I, for one, appreciate that and wanted to let you know that it hasn't gone unnoticed.

    ?

I appreciate that Billsfan4, I was wrong to say some of those things. Josh has a right to be the way he wants to be and say what ever he wants. I think he will do well for what ever team he plays for. I’m just so sick of politics. I can’t even watch the news because it’s all about you know who. So i’m worn out. I don’t turn on the TV ? I avoid it. The Bills and sports and music are my escape. So again I appoligize to anyone who I offended. No ones perfect and I’ve always been a little bit of a flame ? thrower. But no worries I love the Bills and I’ve been following them since 1972. Hope we have a good draft.

My opinion is Rosen is destined for the HOF...just to piss you off.

Just so you know it would not piss me off. Also if the Bills draft him I will support him. My only thing was he needs to keep politics out of the locker room. He needs to bring 52 people from different back grounds together to lead them. No matter what he believes in, It needs to stay out of the team process that Mcbean has set up. I never said he was a bad QB.

  6. I am really tired of the speculation. It seems like 80 percent of the people that post want to get one of the top 3 QB’s. So if your on board with that then Let’s just do it and trade both number ones this year and 2019 and 2020 number ones. Mcbean needs to swing for the fences and get the QB that they want. If you want to get what you want you have to be bold and go for it. I would not have a problem with this but I’m in the camp that I’m ok with Mason Rudolph or Lamar Jackson. What’s your opinion.

This also was said in the 2004 draft.  hmmmm what happened when we got froze out of the top three again.

Well I think Rudolph and Jackson are way ahead of A JP losman but that’s my opinion. I have seen people predict Darnold and Rosen could bust. I think the most sure and non bustable player In this draft is Mayfield. I predict he goes number 1 to the browns. Rosen to the Jets. Then the fun begins. Not sure about the Giants. But if they pass on that QB the Bills will have there shot to trade up and get Darnold or Allen. My guess is it would be Allen.

  8. Guys your over thinking this. Josh Allen, Mason Rudolph and Lamar Jackson could easily come out of this draft as the better selection at QB. Anyone of these could end up being the best of this QB draft class. So stop worrying, look take the top 3 out of the draft pretend they are not there. These other 3 are very good QB’s and could end up all being franchise QB’s. If I had to bet I would take all 3 against the top 3 and in the end 10 years from now you might say I that was the right thing to do. You are just hung up on this draft pundits saying Darnold, Mayfield and Rosen are top 3. Just because they say it does not make it so. If I had to really get down to the nitty gritty I would say Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph will end up as the guys that we should have drafted. I can guarantee the Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Saints and Chargers will have no problems drafting Rudolph and Jackson in the 1st round. So stop complaing and let the draft play out. There are 6 real good QB’s all worthy of being drafted in the 1st round.

  9. What I got from this is if their 2 QB’s they like the best are gone then bean is not trading up. Also what I got from this and you guys better get prepared for this.  We’re going to have Josh Allen, Mason Rudolph or Lamar Jackson as our next QB. This would make me very happy. If I had to guess Darnold and Mayfield are number 1 and 2 on there QB draft board. The Bills will take a QB at 12. If they wait until 22 Rudolph and Jackson will be gone. To many teams with old QB’s have to start finding a replacement. Plus not to mention all the teams that need one. I count 11 teams. So there are 6 first round type QB’s In this draft.  so be ready to get used to the idea of having Allen, Rudolph or Jackson as the next Bills QB.

    Clev

    Buff

    Jets

    chargers

    NYG

    pitt

    NE

    balt

    Saints

    cards

    miami

maybe Den as the 12th team.

Why are people so worried about Jackson getting injured in the NFL?? He has NO injury history in college. NONE!!

totally agree with this. Plus it’s been proven he likes to stay in the pocket and not run and go through his progressions before he takes off. He is pass first QB based on stats. He had a lot of planed or called runs. I think 11 a game in college. That will be changed to maybe 3 designed runs a game in the pros. He might just be the goat ? of this draft class

They seem high enough on him that they’re trying to trade up from 12. Seems like a backup plan to me.  Not what we want.  This is the year we get our franchise QB.  Not our backup QB

A lot of people and teams see Rudolph as a franchise QB. So just because a lot of so called draft pundits have him 6th does not mean it’s true. Many people on this board were saying mahomes was going in the 3rd round or worse. Then he gets drafted at 10 in the first round and is the 2nd QB off the board.  So no if the Bills draft him in the first round he will be considered a franchise QB until proven otherwise.

I don't get confused and based on the summary of your comments, take your pick. I didn't mean to single you out and I'd hate to see you combust, but Bills scouts seem high on the guy.

I agree I have read some where the Bills scouts have seen him play more colleges games live then any QB and have spent the most time with him. I think it’s Darnold 1st for Mcbean then if Darnold is gone they stay at 12 and draft Rudolph. Will see what happens. I know one thing the Bills draft board will not be the same as all the other teams.
