  1. The Xbox version is total garbage...I missed the first 2 games first halves because the idiots at Xbox didn't expect so much traffic...even. Though I found out this happens every year...I lost the last 4 games of the season when it magically disappeared from my Xbox...when I called the idiots they blamed dtv...dtv blamed Xbox...but I never got the games after several calls and "escalation" ...code for we're idiots and don't know anything...with the nfl app you literally have 3 platforms to deal with and when one doesnt work Sunday morning good luck calling the clueless morons who spend 10 min asking your address and Id info then transfer you to another idiot who says to unplug your Xbox...later via internet you read others didn't have the game either....advice= Get it on your cpu. Or roku is a smooth system....don't do moronsoft.

  2. soft? He played the entire season with broken ribs, groin issues and an injured hip.

"played" well I guess he did play...why are there 20 plus articles on why he didn't play hard last year??? Why did Sammy admit after the season that he didn't play hard? Just saying...watch enough replay and you'll see him not fight for balls and drop down Tim brown style before the hit....facts....I know he was hurt now. Back then I was really wondering why....doesn't make him tough to play hurt if he plays like a baby.

Really? which 2 bills is shady costing us. do enlighten me.

well can you read?? I named the possible losses in both posts...try reading.

Okie dokie stan. Single white female might resonate better.

    Good movie

I don't get it....nice defense of your weird position.

I just shake my head enlightener. Seems you want to be a nut case. The crap people come up with in the off season , I shake my head.

why it's math...you shake your head at math? Ok. Care to explain your flame?
  3. This is not a statement against the Bills. I am in no way shape or form sick of the Bills, but man am I starting to really get sick of the NFL. It's on ESPN ad nauseam, it's on other media outlets (other sports and non-sports channels, radio, movies, print, internet) every single day. I have already seen commercials for the SB on tv and it's freaking July! There is, simply, no off-season where the NFL is not getting shoved down our throats from every angle and it seems to be unavoidable. It's just overkill to me and I'm wondering if others are feeling the same or if they enjoy the 24/7/365 coverage / marketing machine that it has turned into the last 10 or so years. Personally, I'd just love a break from it all. MLB gets about 5 minutes of coverage per hour on ESPN and it's the only major sport in action right now and the trade deadline is a week away. NHL free agency coverage was non-existent beyond local radio and the NHL network. MLS? Forget about it and it's the fastest growing league in the country. Not to mention the great soccer leagues across the pond that are barely ever mentioned and they are the most popular sports leagues in the world. I just don't understand how with so many great sports and so much variety that exists, why the nation seems to only cover the NFL (and NBA and College Football to a lesser extent)? It's ruining football for me and I really don't have any desire to watch any non-Bills games anymore when I used to watch every game that was on.

soccer really? who cares. and the only reason soccer is popular is that its a poor country's sport. America could actually afford to outfit 50+ high schoolers w helmets and pads, canada does the same with hockey england supplies horses for polo and japan plays real baseball in full stadiums. soccer requires....some dirt. while i agree i am getting sick of the penalty calling and favoritism in the nfl. but that is during the season, now...i just dont watch.

  4. Check out his work as a Stevie/Sammy. "Stan"

sorry what does that even mean? also i know i hurt your feelings when i said SJ wasnt a real #1, but i was right. And sorry that by game 4 i called out Sammy as being soft when everyone else was singing his praises, like you. Theres only been about 20 stories since the end of the season saying he didnt catch any 50/50 balls or where he himself admitted to being hurt and not playing hard last year. Sorry i am right and you just dont like it. why not add something of substance...for once.

  5.

The part that I find so odd about the OP's line of logic is this: the team obviously needed a RB, so they used assets to get one. The asset they used was a guy that we can definitively say they didn't need; he missed the entire 2014 season and the defense got better without him.

ok time to re-engage with a little more enlightenment....thanks to all who flamed me btw.

    1. No one knows if kiko will re-injure a knee, get bigger, play better etc. he was a rookie! and what if shady gets a knee? what a huge investment for a guy who could be out for a year.

    2. yes shady did cost 16 mil this year, about 6 mil per season the next 4, if we dont pay fred and next year and didnt overpay harvin and shady, we could keep two current Bills that will now be lost next year.

    3. Why do we have to go run first? we doubled down on watkins, have woods, added Harvin, and got a receiving type TE, it will force us to gut goodwin and along with having weak guards we decide on run first offense? yes our qb sucks but then why go so hard after harvin and clay when we spent so much on shady? why not go with a offense that uses these 5 receiving threats more? the harvin shady clay pick ups will add up to costing us 1-2 players by next season, not counting loosing goodwin and brown.

    4. Bryce Brown and Fred could have easily started the season splitting snaps and letting williams and boobie work in as back ups. it would have been enough, i see williams being the starter in 3 years anyway, he loooks like antowain smith, maybe even a poor mans' E. dickerson. maybe he even lights it up as a rookie.

Bottom line it looks like Ryan added a bunch of new toys to the team, when we really needed to be saving money for its foundation. Im not all that excited about seeing guys like cognito, harvin, clay and even shady play on this team anyway. I would have rather had a season where i could see goodwin, kiko, fred, Gray, and even Brown actually play! All the while knowing that we had a pile of money ready to go for Gilmore Glenn Mckelvin Bradham and Dareus next season. Im just a fan of our own players I guess.

  6. week 1 update: so far so right, kiko makes the play of the day, shady runs for losses on the first 4 out 5 runs for the day. Glad we traded him.

the more i look at the future we face regarding cuts etc, the more the mccoy trade looks like a horrible move, not due to talent or ability etc, but from a roster and financial standpoint.

    1. after we complained for years about our tackle position, as well as our corners, looks like we will have to cut either glenn or gilmore. ok maybe its mckelvin or maybe its bradham after already losing kiko, or cutting fred early or shudder maybe even Mario.

    2. We traded a low-cost fan favorite linebacker for a 16 milllion dollar RB right before we have to resign 4 starters. And didnt we try the premier running back route for the last 15 years? How far did we get with Antowain, Mcgahee, Lynch or Spiller??? the most productive runner we had was 2nd rounder travis henry anyway. So now instead of drafting RB in the first, we trade a 2nd, and will lose one of our 1sts (gilmore dareus or glenn) next year, all for the joy of having a top tier running back in his 6th year.

    3. We finally have 5 high talent receiving options, both tackles solidified, and weak guards, so we decide on a run first offense? things got worse not better when we spent a 5th on carlos williams. this would have worked out fine if we hadnt gotten shady. But now it forces a cut of either fred or brown and if its brown, it means we wasted a 4rth and will never know what brown could have done here. If its fred, we lose fred, nuff said.

we overstocked at a position we really didnt need and by next year,in the end it will end up costing us a 1st, 2nd, and 4rth round pick.

    the combination will be either...

    Kiko, fred, & gilmore or....

    kiko, brown, & glenn

    or possibly even a....

kiko, mckelvin, bradham and Fred combination

or maybe we just lose Mario

either way, it was a bad move.

    Go Bills!

so far so right, kiko makes the play of the day, shady runs for losses on the first 4 out 5 runs for the day. Glad we traded him.

  7. the real problem is fred, we all know brown is supposed to be good, and we gave up a 4rth for him, we all saw how good boobie actually is, as a back up. We would assume williams is good and on ST he is an asset. if only we didnt all love fred so much, itd be a no-brainer. I think all that being said Bryce gets cut.

  8. wow id trade mario for rivers straight up. Compare the 98,99 and 2000,2001 seasons

In 1998 & 1999 B.Smith had only 7 sacks after just 10 in both previous seasons. bills made the playoffs though with aging-average short QB play.

in 2000 we benched our aging average qb, we still had pat williams, ted washington, and sam cowart. Bills go 8-8 only due to said QB coming back in for 6 games.

in 2011 without said QB or any D line to speak of we go 3-13

I say Its much better to have qb who can deliver especially since we have 5 legit top tier skill position players now, than a top DE who can get 5-7 more sacks than an average guy. Williams doesnt go hard every game either. I imagine Rivers would play hard every game.

  9. I was aware of his talent as well as the Shady nickname, I just wasn't aware how bad the Shady was. As each day elapses without his talent making up for his ridiculous comments its very hard finding any reason to like him. First he was sour on going to Buffalo, get it, that's fine. I actually liked the fact that he felt a bit scorned, figured it would be more fuel for the fire this year. As time progressed it seemed like every time he spoke he would say the right thing "I'm happy to be a Buffalo Bill, let's put the past behind" while seconds later a passive aggressive comment would follow about his previous relationship with the Eagles and Kelly. Right when you think he's finally shutting up he repeats the same crap all over again, except this time why not add the race card. After he gets smoked by the media he goes into retreat not addressing his ridiculous comments, he resurfaces somehow angry that he would be asked to discuss them at more length. As I said earlier, the guy needs to get on the field and do it fast. As it stands I have very little reason to like him and can't imagine I'm the only one who feels that way.

yes we should play tomorrow so his tabloid material wont be as important as it is to all the ladies who read/care about said comments. Also he got smoked? Also, im glad no one here or at 1 bills drive talks crap about marrone. Also whos to say it isnt the truth about kelly? He can say what he wants cant he. BUt ya, lets start the season so i dont have to "hear" him talking anymore. GREAT POST!

  10.

I think I took too much time doing this. A little off in some spots though.

Hey fans, the bills have got together
    the spotlights hitting Rexy
and he's gonna make 'em better
the playoffs are almost in sight
    so stick around
You're gonna hear the 12th man
    like a wall of sound
Say, Percy and Woods, have you seen them yet
OH but the true hot route, s-s-s-s-sammy and the slant
Oh but their fast and wide open
oh Sammy is in the seam
He's got electric moves, got great hands too
I think they're gonna run a bubble screen oh.
    S-S-S-S-Sammy and the Slant.

dammit i was gonna do this joke, then i read this.

    so how about this verse....

hes pretty big, hes kinda tall

i just hope its not a jump ball!!

stevie and the slant ( oh sorry ) Sammy and the slant--- boomp boomp boom boomp beep boop boomp boomp beep boomp booomp......

  11. loaded poll, i like the premise of a successful season though.

To me it is a season with a ....

    1. 10-6 record or higher

    2. a playoff win (nothing is worse than getting bounced first round, id rather miss them and avoid injury and the lower draft position.)

    3. 4 close wins, 3 comeback wins, 3 blowouts ,and all close losses (blowouts are boring but you need to drop 50 a few times a season)

    4. 2-3 draftees breaking out

    5. a season where we lead the league in something-ie defense, sacks, ints, rushing yards etc....(obviously it wont be passing)

this to me makes a great season. I dont need a superbowl to enjoy the team, i can even enjoy having just 2 or 3 of the above. ironically, one of my favorite seasons was 2010 where we didnt have the wins or record but every game was close SJ CJ and fitz came into their own, we won 4 games that year but i loved watching the team try and almost win. we had 3 OT games that year, all losses! we also got better towards the end. probably we had hope for the future after cutting turdwards.
