It's an eye sore for the city for sure. That's the first thing you see on 90 going north. They put some plastic Buffalo's on the freeway right before you get to town. Like they are going to help. That's a joke.

The mayor called it I believe and correct me if I'm wrong" 31 and 1/2 years of planning for the waterfront." You have to start somewhere. Yes it sucks that goverment is paying private business but I'm sick of every idea being shot down. At least it will be a welcome site to downtown and the waterfront. The city looks bad old, and getting worse. Why would you even go downtown right now other than a free concert. I really hope they can start something.

Manufacturer jobs have been gone for 20 years and they are not coming back. This is the reality of the 2100 century. Buffalo is in a budget crises which may be a real problem because they may not even have the money to plow the snow! Yes, most of Pro Bass will be retail jobs but how about the many construction jobs that will take place in the 2 to 3 years it will be being built. If you look at cities like Cleveland and Baltimore the only thing they really changed was they built up there waterfront. That changed much of their economy especially in Baltimore. Pro Bass is a good start and I hope it works but I do understand some of the pessimistic views due to the past. I think it will help but that's just IMO.

While I think he deserved to be fired why not wait till the end of the year?

I don't know about that. These stores have been very successful in terms of economic growth in other area's across the country.

I think the toughest game out of our remaining schedule is at Cinncy. I think we'll beat Pittsburgh at home no matter what.

Yes, that kid looked great in preseason. I know it is different when the season actually starts but I think he'll be solid.

That's what I was just telling my sister Frez. I think we are one of the better teams in the AFC now but we started 0-4 and that's the only reason that we may not make it but 1 game at a time. I don't think Miami will be easy.

Wow now I'm really depressed. You forgot Casino. Bottom line is they need something to bring people back to downtown. I agree with the people taking back the city but citizans of Buffalo never seem to agree on any matter such as this. Every idea that is brought up gets shot down by common council. Let me ask you this "If a tax increase would turn things around like a beautiful waterfront filled with people at resurants, bars, movies, etc and if it would also get companies to come back to all the abandon buildings and it would bring with it some shinny new skyscrapers and the Metro Rail started back up would you accept an increase? Your right citizens do need to contribute like some of the people in the suburbs that our willing to take the increase to help downtown, but it seems like you would rather spend more useless time telling us why it won't work and keep Buffalo the way it is. Things in Buffalo will never change because nobody ever agrees on how to solve some of these problems while other cities come up with an idea and it's complete in a year. This is excactly why Buffalo doesn't grow, I respect your opinion. I'm not trying to start a fight.

Does anyone think the Mayor maybe right in that Bass will bring people back and develop the waterfront beyond Bass Pro? It's good news and it's just sad how pessimistic people have become. I lived in Buffalo 20years and if I was still there now I would accept the tax increase to bring back my dead city. I'm not saying Pro Bass will solve everything, but it's a start and we need to remember that development grows when it has something to feed on and right now or until Monday they have nothing.

Finally something good happens for Buffalo. I know there has been promises broken and many dissapointment's. They will obviously get the 14 million or the deal would be off the table. Why all the negativity on good news?

Finally from someone who knows Buffalo well. Like Pataki knew that Mr Rigas was a swindler. This is a solid company. It will work if Buffalo wants it to work. It will fail if negative people like most poster's here continue down a road of negativity. I've been posting since the start of this board and it seems that NOTHING will work for Buffalo if you listen to TSW. I'll hold my 3 cheer's for Buffalo when it's signed but comparing this with embezzeler's is off base :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

I have to agree with most that Drew is not the only problem but most of the problem. In last Sunday's debacle I noticed that Eric and Lee were not getting seperation at the corners.

Right, but that was the BenGALS. They should have gotten more for Dillon but again were talking about a team that has made bad decisions for the past 15 years. I expect Buffalo to get a #2 for Henry
