  1. CJ needs to rest because he's young & gets tired, oh wait that was last season's excuse. Carry-on.
  2. Lets be honest here, it's all about the juice. That you get squeezed from your vegetables.
  3. You mean a game-changer?? What a theory. Maybe we should reward the whole defense & make them all the highest paid players for the gifts they've given us.
  4. Do you attribute this to a talented defense then or the last line of defense?
  5. Can you attribute that more to Byrd or the fact that we got ran over like a raccoon on a highway nearly every game ?
  6. He's not earning more than $6.9 M this season, that's the only fact you need to know. You can spin it anyway you want to make yourself feel better but it's how it'll play out.
  7. Looking good amongst the horrible players he's been around doesn't make him worth the highest pay a his position, has it dawned on you that the segment sample is skewed by that fact ??
  8. If you include potential pay versus performance the past 3 years, there's many more than 7. Byrd wants to be paid as the top free safety in the league, even though he's played on horrible defense that have been statistically near last evey one of his 4 seasons in the league. I'd like to see him shine on good defense, then it'd make some sense. He will not earn anymore the $6.9 M this year, that's his best case scenario.
  9. This is the way I see it, we're not going to pay him #1 money. I don't even see him as a #4 or a #7, he's crazy to even ask for that after our teams huge failures. Maybe he should look over the fact that we can't spend too much for him this year, especially after us being horrible on defense, it's just crazy.
  10. I've been to several stadiums in my life & I can easily say that showing up anymore to the stadium has become a hassle. We are witnessing the beginning of the end for the family experience & an ease of living. The NFL has actually determined that US stadiums are becoming a target of terrorists & that anyone could bring in items that could harbor explosives. Why would anyone in good conscience subject their families a potential target & risk their well-being based on having seats that could protect them from the elements? It seems like a formula for disaster to me, large crowds & a potential bomb threat. I'm not completely paranoid but if I can die to see a NFL game, maybe I should spend my time in a more controlled environment. 10 times the police presence in the stadium seems like a militant deal & knowing that my spouse is going to be searched worse than boarding a flight seems extreme. I think we eliminate the fans in house & just bend-over for any chance of a risk to our families. It's the only prudent thing to do separate of random strip searches, like your entering another country (like Canada). Yes sir, deem me out until we can determine the terrorists from the fans. It's just too much for me to bare.
  11. With or without him, Brady will find a way to torture us.
  12. I wish I could of sued for coming out drunk out of that stadium, there would be a fleet of lawyers waiting for their 60,000 clients every Sunday.
  13. Letting him go involves us only getting a 3rd round pick after year 2, which we should focus on better than that. I wouldn't pay him more than the $6.9 M now & look for huge value after this season (like a Revis deal).
  14. Maybe we should set a precedence here & just lay down when someone wants to be paid the highest amounts in their respective position, there's a way to fail pretty quick based on limited resources.
  15. We'll have a chance to do better if our opponents are all worse than they were last season.
  16. What if he has the most yards from scrimmage in the NFL this season ??
  17. If he's so valuable to other teams, let's grab their best LB & call it a day. We really need a LB & Byrd's agent is out for huge money he is never going to get, so some type of value is better than watching Byrd sit.
  18. You can take the thug out of the street but not the street of the thug, enjoy jail.
  19. Hello common sense, glad to see a sane poster who actually watched the games. When your whole squad sucks, you don't make someone who looked good on occasion the highest paid player at their position. The frame of reference is skewed here & Byrd is overplaying his hand via Eugene, the Bills aren't going to bite.
  20. His INT totals in the last 3 seasons have just been OK, so do all of you just want to pay him the most money because of his rookie season?? Maybe we should double Mario's pay for his decent half season last year as well, all helping us to those 6 wins. We sucked on defense & Byrd was a standout amongst the bad group, so it's time to give him a blank check ?? Wake up here man, reality is we're not paying him the most money at his position. The offer they made paid him a top salary already, I think we maybe will squeeze another $1.1 M on it for a $8 M total on a cap friendly contract.
  21. 3 teams to take the over on total wins: Kansas City, New England and New Orleans.
  22. I can't stand it when people answer questions with a question, which means the answer is something you probably won't know or understand even if I clarify it. Check the roster, a few guys are ready to step up & Byrd hasn't been that great besides tackling after our vanilla schemed defensive front failed to perform.
