  1. I think Bledsoe played well. 160 yards passing in the first half is very good, considering he was carrying the team in the first half:

    * the defense was giving up points

    * the running game was shut down

    * the special teams were not a factor

Because all of the other phases of the game got hot in the second half, they did not need to throw the ball. Otherwise, the yards passing would be higher.

I do want to see more consistancy out of Bledsoe and no more games like last week in NE. He can't cost his team games, just like he probably can't carry a team for the entire game any longer.

  2. The Pats were dropping the LB's off into coverage. Rarely did Bledsoe see any jailbreak blitzes but he failed to see the LB's underneath or the Safeties. It wasn't a case of not being able to beat simple man coverage, as previously implied.

Right they were not blitzing that much and just played different zones - cover 2, cover 3, and cover 5. You need time and patience to pick the zone apart. The unreliable OL did not give time for either, plus Drew read the coverage wrong multiple times. He took a deep shot on double coverage when he should have checked down. On another he read man and the linebacker dropped in a zone and picked it off

  3. Faulk has better rushing numbers than either McGahee or Henry this year.  And if you include receiving numbers it's not even close.

I'll give you the stats, but the stats don't explain the reality of what is happening with a Buffalo running game that is in transition. You have had two different RBs that have started games and one game where they supposedly both started. The fact is, they are a very different team than the Pats faced a few weeks ago.

  4. Moulds puts up very good numbers against top CBs in the league. He's up against a practice squad player and a WR pretending to play CB. I'm sure there will be plenty of smash mouth running, but look for Moulds to dominate this secondary.

-and BTW, if the Pats overcommit to stopping Moulds, then look for plenty of huge gains with Evans, TEs, and the running game. The only person that can help with Moulds will be Harrison and if he is kept out of the box - look out - the Bills running game will be huge!

  5. Last I checked, the FCC didn't even advise anyone against showing Saving Private Ryan uncut.  Were they too, they would have by now.

Not that I'm a big fan of the FCC...but it sounds like the affiliates are making this decision on their own without even discussing the matter with the FCC.  Which kind of makes me wonder precisely why these stations are making that decision...

Fear. Well, fear of losing $$ through fines, that is....

It appears to be mostly the smaller affiliates.

  6. stevestojan, I see from your posts that you are turning your back on our quarterback.

hmmm thats kind of like how john kerry turned his back on the U.S. by denouncing our involvement in the vietnam war by visiting the country himself like he's frigging ghandi! I'm seeing a connection.

Sorry to say it but you voted for a traitor.

Soooo......the Vietnam War was a good thing? For 30 years most of the nation has looked at this as a mistake and moved on. You (and others) want to go back and re-open this wound and slam a guy that spoke out against it? Guess I don't understand

  7. If Drew thought his protection was bad before now, wait till the OL intentionally runs a few "look-out" blocks for our boy Drew.

I doubt it. These guys are playing for jobs. There is no doubt this line has played like stevestojan. They get NO push in the running game and can not consistantly give protection in the passing game. This is a heads up that some of these guys will be benched after this game if they do not improve.

I am glad they are called out. The running game is a joke and it is due to the OLine. The Bills have a two time 1,300+ yard runner and a Heisman Trophy runner up in the backfield and can't do jack stevestojan. No rushing TDs after 6 games. What a crock!

Forget the passing game, for now. At least they are getting SOMETHING done with the passing game. NOTHING is getting done with the running game and that is unacceptable and the root of most of the offense's problems

  8. ...and a few more to make your day:

Baltimore was held to 160 yards of offense, yet won easily.

Baltimore had more return yards (203) than offensive yards (160).

Kansas City's record-setting eight touchdown runs in a single game is eight more than Buffalo has on the entire season.

  9. The missing explosives should be a big deal.

Only 1 pound of similar high power explosives was used by Libyan terrorists to bring down a PanAm flight over Scotland. We should all be very concerned, since terrorists got 15,000+ truckloads of this for free.

I am sure this stuff is being moved all over the world. Only a small quantitiy is need to do a great deal of harm.
