  1. I've searched and searched and come up with no legislation proposed to Congress by the current Administration on this subject. Why does Kerry try to blame the Admistration? I also didn't find anything coming out of the Clinton adm.

Does anyone have some facts that show that this adm. has changed things?

    Anyone?

I don't think the current administration has really done anything to encourage or discourage it. This is just a phenomenom that has really taken off over the last 4-6 years (2-3 in particular) and mostly due to dynamics in the global marketplace. China and India in particular have made significant investment in their people and opened their borders to external investment. The availability of inexpensive, educated people that want to work hard, is very attractive to large corporations that are looking for every competitive edge they can find.

It is hard to fight a trend that involves the forces of global free markets. Government legislation will do little to change this without severly inhibiting free markets.

  2. ...talent is nothing if it is wasted.  The Bills are so putrid inside the Dead Zone, the stench wafted 75 miles up my way from Baltimore Sunday.  They have a brain-dead quarterback who makes horrible decisions, a lousy OL that gets pushed around and can't open any holes for their RBs, a #1 RB isn't #1 anymore, and boneheaded play calls by the coaches that simply don't get the job done.

Even when the offense does something right, then the defense can't make a stop when necessary.  Or the STs do something stupid like run into the kicker or block illegally on runbacks.

Face reality, folks.  The Bills are a B-A-D football team right now.  And there are 10 more weeks of abject misery to go.

I agree. That pretty much sums up why they lose. It isn't just Bledsoe's fault or just the O-Line fault. The entire team has contributed to the stevestojantty results together. The players can not get the job done - there is no chemistry and no results from this group of guys.

  3. Regarding Sam Adams:

I think this is exactly why the Bills don't win as often as they should.  Adams is just talented enought to be a decent starter in the NFL but something keeps him back from being a winner.  His attitude seems like a minor issue but thise is exactly why, unfortunately, the Patriots clean everybody's clock!  Can you imagine a Patriot player refusing to play their role for the good of the team?  They wouldn't last long.  The NFL is full of good players who help ensure their team is just good enough to lose by not adding to the sum of the parts and pulling this kind of crap.  For the Bills to win they must purge the team of this kind of player or convert them.  I'm glad to see Mularkey has been standing up on these issues.  Hopefully others will take note and change.  For example, Mike Wiliiams seems to be playing better and, with his head on straight, may very well end up a good player.

Adams was on a Ravens team that won the super bowl and a Raiders team that went to the super bowl. He is a hired gun and you can win with him - I'm just not sure how long he can stay in one place based on his history.

  4. If Adams gets cut, we will be even worse than we are now (obviously). But he is a playmaker, and sometimes, as an organization, you have to appease this big babies.

Agreed. I'm sure they will try to work it out, but they are in no position to cater to his ego. He is not that important to the team quite frankly if he is miserable and not putting forth enough effort.

  5. My boss just gave me his tickets to tonights preseason game between the heat and the hawks. Im not a huge Basketball fan, but they are 5th row center court with full service (meaning they bring drinks and food to you at your seat) and access to the club level. So, since its a half hour away, Im going.

Anyway, does anyone know if Shaq plays during the preseason? If not, is it just the scrubs? How does that work?

He'll play. Probably 10-15 minutes (unless he's injured?)

  6. I agree, Coy must be sent to the showers

It seemed like he had potential as a rookie

Last season - he was "developing"

This year - same problems and that is inexcusable. He is a thrid year player - a somewhat high round draft pick and can not adjust to coverage and play recognition at an NFL level.

There should no longer be a place for him on this NFL team.

  7. Only if the "flow of the game" allows it for McGahee. Otherwise, I'd stick with Henry, a proven NFL running back

Do we even know if Evans is going to be any good at the pro level? So we should stick him in the game against the #1 ranked team in the NFL and expect him to bail the offense out.

Expect a few plays from each, but they are a long way from blue chip players.
