Wow, even though he may have a nice stat line, EJ looked rough in that video.I believe that Greg Roman is going to tailor his offense around EJ Manuel's strong suit. An offense he's comfortable with. Something like in these highlights.

Let's hope so. It's no secret Sammy was way underutilized in the screen game last season. And I think he may have ran the ball on maybe 3 reverses all year, as Marrone and Hackett are as good of playcallers as Yogi and boo boo. I know Roman likes to do a lot of read option type stuff, but do you know if he likes to run those bubble screens and sweeps? I haven't watch enough 49er football to know. He's a smart guy and good coordinator, so I would think he design plays for these guys.Percy is Sammy Watkins insurance. Sammy can't be the only guy running these screens and sweeps. He's too good a down field threat for that. Percy will most likely be doing a lot of what he did with the Gators and Vikings and that is perfectly fine. A backfield consisting of McCoy and Harvin is going to be lethal. Wait until Tyrod comes in for some wildcat/triple option fun.

These trades this year though.

As a traditional TE1, Clay is maybe just above average. But in Romans scheme, he is a key cog, a great fit, evidenced by reports of him being their #1 target in FA. I really hope we land him.

That's what I've heard. I like his fire. I like how he scrambles with his eyes downfield. Worth the gamble IMO. I remember him lighting up the combine. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.Some of that was the coaching and playcalling at VT (downright awful). But maybe he has a bit of Romo in him and our new QB coach worked with Romo a bit.

He's explosive and a playmaker. But I get what backindadsy is saying. You rarely see him take his drop, then fire with conviction. He'll take his drop then either bounce a few times or take a quick few steps, then pass it.Hey backindadsy- I don't know what you been
watching but in this video he is a throw first
and run 2nd QB. He doing a lot of what Russell
Wilson does. I even see him taking snaps from under center. This guy is good and it's a great
signing.
watch the video and find out for your self

Cameron? Classic dolphins!

Less Goodwin, more Shady.I've always wanted Dewayne Bowe in Buffalo but Percy also fills the return role.
I say we go 5- wide with Watkins, Woods, Hogan, Goodwin & Harvin?? Spread those defenses out!

Brad Johnson. Buerlein seemed to be around a long time. Not sure he ever got the job done though.
-
I'm excited about his athleticism. But I'm like beastman, not sure he's shown enough to be a solid contributer. Hoping we can lock Clay down.
-
JP. What's he up to these days??
-
He seems like he'd be perfect for the Delanie Walker type roll as hybrid FB/TE.

They won't fall. We have to rise.

I tried to look up Matt Cassel highlight videos. All they had was Matt Cassel fail videos. That ain't good.
