Might be a good idea to tag everyone participating, @Deranged Rhino I'd do it myself, but I'm not sure who's participating. -

The people who were trying to kill him, and likely did kill men he served side by side with; and both Obama and McCain were complicit in that. -

Omarosa's Book
TakeYouToTasker replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
10 years from now that muppet is going to pick this book up, not bother to check out who the author was, note that it was written by "some woman" because "something about hand size and being a dick", and defer to it as the definitive history of the Trump campaign. I'm not even kidding. I'd be willing to bet money on it. -

You're an idiot because you're an idiot, not because I say you're an idiot. I don't possess magical powers. I lack the ability to speak truth into existence. However, I can see how you might be confused and believe that I'm a mythical and magic creature, because you're too irretrievably stupid to understand how the world works. Oh! And while I have you here: Explain: - How Stalin's desire to put down budding nationalist sentiment in the Ukraine to bring it under tighter Soviet control wasn't an economic position. - How the execution of class warfare against the Kulaks wasn't an economic position. - How the forced collectivization of farms wasn't an economic position. - How the putting down of the Ukrainian rebellion when they resisted collectivization wasn't an economic position. - How the sale of Ukrainian grain to foreign markets in pursuit of Stalin's Five Year Plan wasn't an economic position. Once you're done with that, explain how as these things failed because the people resisted, Stalin taking increasingly brutal action in pursuit of his goals was not the result of the economic policy he pursued. Thanks!

Google maps indicates that the Smashburger location on 2415 E Baseline in Phoenix, AZ is 0.3 miles from the 5 Guys location on 2340 E Baseline. So, I'd have to disagree, and say that they are close.

It's the straws, man... it's the straws...

Agreed, but I would make the argument that, as events unfolded, and Stalin was forced to make decisions which were both cold and rational, in pursuit of his policy goals, that those outcomes were indirectly tied to his economic policy. And even in areas where they might not be tied to economic policy, they were tied to the totalitarian and centralizing nature Stalinist Communism itself, and absolutely had economic impacts.

As much as I have been enjoying watching you slam your dick in a door over the last few pages of this thread, I am compelled to help you sort out all of this stupid. You keep claiming that genocide isn't economics, which is dead wrong, but you've set your mind to it for some reason I can't begin to understand. So, I'll try a different tack: what, exactly, do you think economics is?

Trump Wants To Regulate Google
TakeYouToTasker replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In computing, I would define generation in terms of wide reaching technology leaps. For the purpose of this discussion, I'd say the end of Microsoft's dominance began with the introduction of the smart phone. Industry would be a specific branch of commercial activity. I wasn't disagreeing with you. -

Technology changed the marketplace over time, as it always does in every industry, but at the time it cemented Microsoft as the industry leader for several generations. -

When Clinton "went after" Microsoft he did so in a way that entrenched Microsoft as the industry leader for generations. The major part of Microsoft's "settlement" was that it agreed to provide it's software, free, to elementary and high schools all across the country. Mac labs were out, and several generations of children learned computing exclusively on Microsoft platforms, carving out massive market share. -
LOL So now you've made threats to pistol whip me, eat me, slap me with the back of your hand, and have escalated to shooting me. Truly the mark of a man with strong moral backing, and an argument worth considering. Well done. Equally impressive is that you've dismissed a work of economic, philosophical, and historical considerations on par with the works of Mill, Hobbes, Locke etc. without blinking because "reasons". Bravo. Oh, but hey, while I have you here, you made a definitive statement that Stalin's actions in the Ukraine weren't driven by economic policy. Would you mind answering a few question to back that assertion? Explain: - How Stalin's desire to put down budding nationalist sentiment in the Ukraine to bring it under tighter Soviet control wasn't an economic position.
