I use both adaware& spybot with zone alarm pro(firewall)and norton antivirus just make sure you update them every time you run them . for your average internet user I find these work well and first 2 are free there is also a free version of zone alarm. I always install spybot and adaware whenever I do a dsl install on a customers computer its free ,easy to use,and seems to handle alot of spyware isuse's well ,without interfering with other programs
