Buddy was stupid for believing Merriman, still on the south side of 30, might be able to get over the injury hump and return to playing at a high level. And he wasted a lot of Ralph's money. Even if Merriman gets double digit sacks this season it won't have been worth it.

It's OK for you to take a freebie, but others are "dicks" and "cheap ass" for inquiring about discounts. We get it, they offered you something and you took it. Then in the next breath you decide it's OK to call others dicks for calling the same company you just got a freebie from and asking about incentives that are obviously available. Yeah, OK...

I was a little surprised to see training camp has a total of only 15 practices. My perception historically was that TC was a little longer and tougher than that. No big deal, as long as they're ready come opening day.

Last thing. Can this thread be about deals and not customer service. Anyone can have a bad experience with any company. New employees being the reason or whatever. But as a whole, Directv is very good.
So what's your best deal? If you want to pay the whole $200. Express that too!
People should also make the distinction of getting the basic Sunday Ticket package versus the Sunday Ticket Max package. Basic is $199 and Max is $299. So regardless of peoples preferences on what's included in the two packages, getting basic at $100 is not quite the same deal as getting Max at $100. Therefore, basic folks I think should go for $50!

Just called Direct TV. I got the lady to give me the Ticket for $99. I did not even have to pay for it all upfront. She said when I start to get billed for it I will receive a $20 credit for 5 months of the billing cycle. The only thing I had to do was sign up for paperless bills. I am still not satisfied though. In August I am going to call back & tell them it is a disgrace that they are giving the ticket for free to new customers & threaten to cancel my whole god dam service if they don't give me the ticket for free. If they call my bluff I will just hang up on them. Man I love pulling one over on the man. As the great Gus Johnson would say "Ha HA!!!".
Sounds like from the cost and credits you mention that you're only getting the Sunday Ticket basic package, which costs $199 this year. Sunday Ticket Max is $299 and includes Red Zone Channel, Short Cuts, and To-Go for use on iPad, etc. Double check your online account and make that return call for a free upgrade to Max if necessary!

I happened to be on the phone with them on an unrelated matter, and while they were taking care of that I just casually inquired whether there would be any incentive available if I ordered Sunday Ticket and paid in full today. They came right back with the offer of ST Max at $200 off, and I said Thanks!

. Are you freaking kidding me, know wander we have sucked this past decade. We couldn't wait a few weeks to get the right guy and picked num-nuts Mularkey?! Weiss was the hottest coaching prospect at the time and he gave no indication of he didn't want the job. I really think he would have done a good job here as he did pretty good at former great but now in perennial decline Notre Dame and would have made sure we got a real QB.Sometimes this board just makes me so glad certain people here don't actually hold NFL front office jobs!

One hour to go for the Bills to announce the signing of Vince Young or someone else's credibility is shot....
I want to see us sign him. I went from thinking it was a done deal to not going to happen. Then I got excited by Mort Reports and "insider info" from this thread.
Now, i'm back to thinking this isn't going to happen.
Well kabnt2005 came back again, and commeted on the post about his credibility and has since deleted it. It was up for mere minutes, don't know if anyone else saw it. Basically saying its still a done deal and that his time frame might not be acurate in that it will be another 24 hours. Don't know why he deleted it.
I deleted it because I was told by my source to keep my head down on it. Take that for what it's worth, but I wouldn't be told that if I was making **** up.
Patience is a virtue. If you really want to know the details, you can PM me. But I was told to stay low on this out in public forums.

Ageed. Lombardi et al refuse to accept what Buddy and our scouts believe - Glenn will be our LT unless he proves he can't do it, in which the worst case is he slides inside as a Pro Bowl level guard. Lombardi and others would really be giving out the kudos if they accepted we added the sorely needed starting LT like we did, but who cares about draft grades.
