This shouldn't even be a discussion.
Cloud drives are a stupid choice since you are dependant on your interntet not dieing, the company not screwing up your data, while hoping that they won't invade your privacy. Despite Apple's and Amazon's advertising spin on them, the only reason they even exist is to make the average consumer who know nothing about computers pay a monthly fee . It would be like car companies deciding to remove tires from their cars then charging the customer a rental fee to include them. (..and some people will continue to rent the tires even though a smart person could just go to a tire store and buy a set instead of renting from the factory.)
Just buy a cheap drive online (1000gb are under $100 now) and keep all your files safe. If you're that paranoid buy two 500gb drives and have a backup to your backup.

Just a question about cloud that I really have no clue about, What happens when you hit hard times and can't pay the rental storage fee?
