  1. Will Gailey get us to the playoffs? We should all be held accountable for this. I say yes.
  2. I appreciate the compliment "skippy" lmao. But, it doesn't take an intellectual giant to see the obvious. I literally think I could lay out the "eat crow" definition and relate it to my post better to a 7 year old than you. Take a 2nd look partner. Posts my posts about "eat crow" and post yours and explain your rationale. I know you won't because there is no reasonable rationale explaining your position. Post my posts about not knowing what "eat crow" means and show where I am lacking.
  3. If anybody reads our posts back and forth, you really look like an idiot, lol
  4. Wikipedia: "Eating crow is a U.S. colloquial idiom,[1] meaning humiliation by admitting wrongness or having been proved wrong after taking a strong position.[2] Eating crow is presumably foul-tasting in the same way that being proved wrong might be emotionally hard to swallow.[2] The exact origin of the idiom is unknown, but it probably began with an American story published around 1850 about a slow-witted New York farmer.[3] Eating crow is of a family of idioms having to do with eating and being proved incorrect, such as to "eat dirt", to "eat your words", and to "eat your hat" (or shoe)." I mean I knew many of you weren't very intelligent but It's being taken to a whole new level. Even my low expectations are going lower. That is exactly what I pointed out. I mean I couldn't point out 2+2 more obviously than I did. Worried for you guys Thank you friend. I am glad you look forward to learning. What's kind of ironic is maybe I am starting to feel like Jerry does sometimes, haha: taking heat from a decent number of uninformed idiots. The only difference is Jerry Sullivan deserves most of it. Although I'm sure a lot of you dumb people write him ridiculous things, or comment stupidly on his articles, I know at least some of you are intelligent football people. Unfortunately, because most are the former, he tunes fans out, understandably. Kind of like I am doing.
  5. 45 plus posts later, I would say "thanks!" with a big smile on my face. I have seen Jerry's column discussed on here many times. I don't see how it's pointless. Don't be mad. Just go away.
  6. Oh thanks for the enlightenment. All pessimists think they are realists. Sounds like you are one.
  7. 18-14 with Dallas. Made playoffs 2 out of 2 years. 0-2 in the playoffs. I like how you conveniently left that out.
  8. A point or two I would credit. Yeah, he'd probably be like the rest of the media and start kissing the team's ass if they were starting to show signs of improvement throughout the season. However, he has already bashed Ralph, Gailey and Nix (not as much Gailey) as incompetent people who can't run a team. How could they possibly have turned this thing around? I guess it would all be luck. Which in the NFL, if you're stupid and winning, you better be pretty damn lucky! I've also got to say it's pretty damn difficult to make the playoffs when you're in the same division with the best team in the league for the past 10+ years. I think the dolphins have done it once or twice and the same with the Jets. All of which have not had dominant records with the Jets getting in both times with 9-7 records. Maybe it's the situation and not the incompentency of the people running the team. However, a lot of you are suckers to the constantly, quickly changing winds in the media. Hell, everybody wanted Wade Phillips out of town and he got us to the playoffs multiple times. Way to go typical Buffalo Fans!
  9. Probably spend way beyond your means and exercise no financial discipline and be in a worse scenario than you are today within 5 years
  10. Hmmmm. What is the level of your intellect? Let me lay it out point by point so maybe you can understand. - The thread says "What Would Jerry Sullivan Do If The Bills Won The Super Bowl?" - Jerry Sullivan has bashed the Bill for the most part and their decision making. - He is on the Ralph Hater bandwagon that he can do nothing right, is incompetent and is too cheap - He also has bashed both Gailey and Nix on many occasions - If the Bills won the super bowl, it would be an indication that Ralph and the Bills Front Office were making good decisions and were a sound organization - This would be the exact opposite of what Jerry Sullivan has been writing and he would have been wrong - This would mean that in his column he would have to somehow face up to being wrong - This would mean he would either have to eat crow or make excuses to get out of eating crow Did that spell it out for you simply enough?
  11. Yeah do you know what it means? Since he has been bashing the Bills for so long and then they had success, he would have to suck it up and change his opinion. What don't you get?
  12. I think people atarted adjusting their game plans againt our offense and Gailey seemed a bit stubborn to make any changes. We have to be able to make adjustments to their adjustments and just never really did. That's what I felt I saw anyway.
  13. Yeah I was happy to hear of this. I'm not sure what the terms of how they would have to spend the 84 million but that would be a nice boost. I think it would be almost as much as they got for playing some games in Toronto. Maybe this boost could come when their is a transition of ownership. That would be ideal. I'm not as big of a Ralph hater as a lot of guys on here, but I would still like to see a change in ownership. Could be coming soon!
  14. Sorry fellas but he is probably right. How about McGahee as well. One of the biggest issues with Buffalo is the fanbase and the media in Buffalo. They are extremely quick to get negative. This puts a ton of pressure on the organization to make abrupt changes. It also somewhat fills the psychis of the players constantly reading how much they suck in the papers and hearing it from fans on the radio etc. I'm sure most of this board was calling for Mularkey's firing. He was probably a pretty decent coach. Wade Phillips wasn't popular in buffalo yet he was leading us to the playoffs somewhat consistently. Fact is, all the negative mindsets who are quick to say "we suck" is a significant part of the problem. Face it boys.
  15. I want both (Stevie and VJ). Then although I am very concerned about our pass rush, I would want a LT in the first round of the draft if a quality one for where our pick is came to us. I think we might then be poised for an elite offensive team. With Freddie, CJ, Stevie, ,VJ, Wood, Levitre, Pears, Urbik and a quality LT, I don't know how many offensive rosters could matchup. I know we have to resign Stevie and Fred for this plan and our defense would still be very suspect. I'm hoping Wannstedt can right the ship with mostly our current personel. This is all very wishful thinking but all of this would be sweet. A fan can hope right?!?
  16. I know we're up but I'm still pissed off. GIVE IT TO SPILLER MORE (although I have seen him pull himself out a couple times) SOMEBODY LIGHT A FIRE UNDER FITZ's ASS - dude is exhibiting all signs of severe depression - what a mental slump he is in AT LEAST GIVE ME SOME HOPE FO NEXT YEAR WITH YOUR PLAY! DON'T MATCH LAST YEAR'S 8 GAME LOSING STREAK PLEASE!
  17. This is just stupid IMO. To be honest I am not so sure Rex is even that great of a coach. They have spent money on talent out the wazoo in New York and both years he has squeaked into the playoffs. It's not even looking that good for them making it this year. His brother Rob seems to be less of a head coaching type than Rex does and Rex isn't even that great. Would I take him as DC? In a heartbeat. I'm stikcing to it: Let Chan have his chance.
  18. One fact that seems to be going unmentioned here is that the Bills were the 2nd winningest team in the 90's. Who owned the team then? Oh yeah it was Ralph Wilson. This shows we can win consistently with him owning the team. Where was the talk of bean counters then? The naysayers are no different from the press. When a team is winning everyone is doing everything right and when they're losing they can't do anything right. The only way to stop all the negative talk is to win. Simple as that. If that happens everybody will be saying, "Ralph's a great owner. We were the 2nd winningest team in the 90's and look, now he's built another winner." Winning gives everybody rose colored glasses. Losing gives everybody crap colored glasses. The fact is, the truth is somewhere in the middle. So keep at it boys. Changing with the winds.
  19. Chan has been known for knowing how to use guys. However, I have not been happy with how he has utilized Spiller. I think we can definitely get a good amount of value out of Spiller if he is used right. HE IS NOT A SHORT YARDAGE BACK. DO NOT PUT HIM IN ON THIRD AND SHORT! He is a 10-15 carry per game back, with a few receptions/screens. I know a #9 pick is a heavy price to pay for that but that is what he is. Do not use him for what he is not. He can be explosive and effective if he is used properly. Chan, only put him in positions to succeed!
  20. I would be thrilled if we landed this guy. The stats shown in the original post of this thread to me point to proven and consistent success. This would be an incredible hire. Let's hope Chan isn't loyal to a fault with his staff and Ralph is willing to dole out some cash. WE'RE DUE FOR WINNER!
