  1. I disagree. I can think of a few roles she's had that were great, including Klute, Barefoot in the Park, and 9 to 5.
  2. Nothing beats watching a punter beat up a kicker.
  3. For those who live in the area or will be in the area, you might want to check this link out. On December 4th and 5th, you'll be able to go to a number of Baltimore sites for $1 admission or less, including the Babe Ruth Museum, the Maryland Science Center, and the National Aquarium. If you don't mind dealing with the crowds, it sounds like a good opportunity to check out some very cool places.
  4. Other than Gosford Park, I don't know if I've seen a bigger waste of acting talent.
  5. I think back to the atrocity known as The Talented Mr Ripley and I think of how great a cast they ASSembled for that 'film' with Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jude Law (though I just don't get the allure of this guy; he's not all that as an actor). It was Blanchett that did the only credible job of acting in that 'film'. She upgraded it to a D- from the FFFF+ it was.
  6. Good one. I also liked her in The Ice Storm. That's a good movie. A bit dark and depressing, but good. On the lighter side, I thought Galaxy Quest was hysterical! She was good in that too.
  7. She looks like the Joker. That notwithstanding, she is a very talented actress.
  8. I thought she retired from acting a long time ago, after she had a stroke or something like that. I do remember her performance in Hud, which is a very good movie.
  9. A great performance, to be sure. She did an excellent job with the accent. That said, I can think of a few female performances in movies that rank right up there: Hilary Swank in Big Boys Don't Cry Faye Dunaway in Network Piper Laurie in The Hustler Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity ...for starters. A sentimental favorite of mine is Goldie Hawn's performance in a movie called "Butterflies Are Free". Good stuff.
  10. Indiana Jones? I thought it was Han Solo who played Jack Ryan. Go figure.
  11. That's good. We didn't want there to be any confusion, did we?
  12. They say the darndest things too.
  13. Hey JP-era!
  14. I look forward to seeing it soon.
  15. 'spose I could: It's a nickname for a nickname. My nickname in college was "Richie Rich". While waiting for a pool table at the student union one day, I wrote "R. Rich" on the waiting list, and the name just stuck. Awww! You were so close, too.
  16. One of these years, I'll have to make the trip down to Miami for a game. I hope you all have a blast there.
  17. I think mine is pretty self explanatory.
  18. No, it's "ua$$".
  19. Maybe Texas should be upset that the Sooners don't do what the Longhorns do when the two teams meet: lose. If those damn Sooners would just give the game to Texas...
  20. You're no fun.
  21. I figured I'd have a bowl of soup and a glass of ice water.
