The thread is open now. Pick, William.

Sorry guys! Thread is open.

Isn't Foster a RT? Mulitalo and Pillar can't be looked @ as much more than depth players now. I don't know if Thomas is their target, but I wouldn't rule it out even w/ the moves they've made so far.
-
Roll call for today: who's here? I got lists from a couple of the GMs who said they wouldn't be available, so there should be plenty of folks here and ready to go, then.
-
That's what I thought, but they'd look @ that as a long term thing, I suppose. The top priority would be OT or DE, but in our scenario, the worthy candidates (OT Joe Thomas, DE Gaines Adams) were gone. They would've had to take someone a bit high, like Levi Brown or Jamaal Anderson.

NFL Schedule Will Be Released On...
R. Rich replied to Patience's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear ya. A buddy of mine expressed interest in going to that game. He's a Ravens fan, but is also a Terps fan and season ticket holder. He lets me attend Terps games from time to time, so I told him I'd take him to the Ravens game this year. -
Haha!! Sad part is, they could say the same 'bout us.

NFL Schedule Will Be Released On...
R. Rich replied to Patience's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While it would be nice to find out this week (especially for those of us who have to request leave for that time period in FEBRUARY), if they need to hold off for a little bit, I'll be okay w/ it. -
Good post. I know I made a somewhat questionable choice for Arizona w/ Branch. Although they do need a solid DT, they needed a DE more for their line. But, w/ Adams gone, I decided to go w/ the better player (Branch over Jamaal Anderson). After discussing it w/ some Arizona fans, they said that if the draft went down as it did, the team would probably take Adrian Peterson or even Patrick Willis (a bit high though) instead of Branch.

You wanna see a Bills win? Go to the game Mike goes to. Other than the very first game he ever attended @ RICH (the '01 loss to the Stillers), every game he goes to w/ me has been a Bills win (Redskins in '03, Cardinals in '04, Chiefs in '05, and last year's game vs the Packers, where you guys got lost in your soccer discussion). The guy's a good luck charm, as long as we limit the trips to just two (Psycho Ward 86 attended the Stillers game w/ us in '01; she's bad luck!!). Pics? I know he took one of you and I, and I think one of you w/ Diane. I'll have to check when I get home, since I haven't loaded them onto my Webshots site yet.

You asked for the Vikings, so I gave them to you. You weren't online for their pick, so I made it: Jamaal Anderson, the DE from Arkansas
-
I don't think Staley will go before Baltimore. Too many teams ahead of them have too many needs in areas that this draft has good talent in (defensive back and WR come to mind). Timmons has been sliding. There was a time that I thought he could to go Pittsburgh @ 15, but I don't think he will now. If Posluszny is there, I could see the Stillers taking him. Regardless of what scheme they run (3-4 or 4-3), they need linebackers. As of now, I see it coming down to Posluszny or maybe Jarvis Moss, if he makes the transition to OLB and if they decide to keep using the 3-4. Leonard will probably be considered by most teams @ RB instead of FB. The teams that do use the fullback use them primarily as blockers, and Leonard is more of a runner/receiver.

Oh, I dunno. Let's say 10am again. We'll have to do better w/ the time per picks, though. Maybe do 10 minutes per pick instead of 3; that way, it'll give GMs time to work deals.
-
Arizona might be interested. PM me an offer.
-
I'm good either way. Looks like we're probably going to call it quits, though and do the second round tomorrow.
-
He could surprise us all and take somone other than a guard or tackle. It could be Ryan Kalil.
-
Great minds think alike. I was just 'bout to ask that. Miami has New England's 60th pick in the Welker trade.
-
Green Bay sends the 33rd pick to Miami for the ??th and 71st picks.
-
Hmmm......Miami can sure use both picks. They must REALLY want someone. Green Bay must confirm.
-
Their agents and accountants should be so lucky, you mean. You can sure tell this is a mock draft.
-
Okay, what should we do: 1. Stop now; do Round 2 tomorrow and Round 3 Wednesday 2. Begin Round 2 3. Go drinking
-
Indianapolis, by proxy, selects Jon Beason, LB from Miami (FL). We are now done w/ the first round.
-
I don't like all these big guys getting taken early. What am I supposed to draft now in the next couple of rounds? Damn you all!
-
Indianapolis is on the clock.
