    https://www.adbusters.org/listserv/the-metamemetic-insurrection

    As is now obvious to all, we are living through an era-defining ideological clash. We must decide whether to allow a regressive alt-right, ethno-religious, me-first, make-my-country-great-again ideology infect the body politic — a sure path to global catastrophe and World War III — or whether a big-ideas march toward a compassionate, all-inclusive new world order will emerge on the Left. This is the Meme War that will decide our fate. And to win this war, we must re-examine all assumptions, all rules, all habits of mind that have delivered us to this perilous moment.

    In short, we must rethink almost all economic, political, and cultural precepts we’ve taken for granted for generations. We must breathe fresh life into progressivism, revive its mojo, and return it to the visionary force for change it once was.

    Our strategy is to zero in on a new grand narrative, a once-in-a-millennium mind shift, a set of big ideas — metamemes — so fundamental, so systemic, so profound that a sane and sustainable future is unthinkable without them. This means shining a light on the hidden coordinates of our shared reality and unleashing a Metamemetic Insurrection on seven critical fronts:

    1. PSYCHOLOGICAL

    5e2a38dfbe4a7433cc1e6cbf_donor_letter_ps

    We forge a Digital Bill of Rights, a document which articulates undeniable, common-sense demands to wrest back power from Big Tech.

    2. ECOLOGICAL

    5e2a390dbe4a7449c11e6d15_donor_letter_ec

    We unleash the #TrueCost metameme — the idea that we can deliver ourselves from the climate crisis by moving resolutely toward a global true-cost market regime in which the price of every product tells the ecological truth.

    3. CORPORATE

    5e2a39413fa1326fafe2939a_donor_letter_co

    We launch the mother of all boycotts, with the aim of wiping ExxonMobil off the face of the earth. Once the mightiest falls, the rest will follow — and we will witness the birth of a Corporate Charter Revocation Movement.

    4. FINANCIAL

    5e2a3975b3437b688402de89_donor_letter_fi

    We slow the ravages of fast money by proposing an elegant idea: that you must hold a stock for 24 hours after its purchase before selling it. If instituted, this would kill off flash trading and fundamentally change the way stock markets operate and money flows.

    5. ECONOMIC

    5e2a39a4ca7814792b2aa942_donor_letter_ec

    We spark student mutinies in the economics departments of universities around the world by disrupting classes, plastering posters in the corridors, and nailing manifestoes to professors’ doors. 2020 could be the year in which campus uprisings provoke a revolution in economic thinking — a paradigm shift in the science of economics.

    6. POLITICAL

    5e2a39cdbe4a746e201e6fc4_donor_letter_po

    We propose a constitutional amendment for global adoption, calling for a national referendum requiring at least 50 percent of voters to formally assent to any war before it can begin.

    7. AESTHETIC

    5e2a39e5be4a7422dc1e7086_donor_letter_ae

    We call on the artists, designers, and creatives of the world to transform the ambient tone of the world . . . the way it feels to walk around our cities . . . the mood of watching television . . . the knack and smack of navigating the net . . . the emotional valence of money and status . . . the way it feels to be alive today.

    This may all seem idealistic, even far-fetched. But so did Occupy Wall Street when it was just a glimmer in our eye. The future is not yet written. And the planetary endgame currently unfolding demands nothing less than the full measure of systemic, *****-it-all audacity and visionary boldness.

    This year, we crack the global mind.

  2. Y'all are doing it wrong with CBS if you're trying to use a VPN... Save the money, and do it yourself.

    Hopefully I don't get banned, but I doubt this is illegal since I can go out of town on business and CBS All Access will pick up that local channel where i am. You're just going to fool it to think you're somewhere else.

    You might want to dedicate a browser JUST for this, if you use Chrome, CC Cleaner browser is almost exactly the same. See the 3 dots at the top right? Click on them, got to Developer tools.

    Once there is the hardest part, you have to find the Sensors. Your probably going to have to click those 3 dots a little lower than the others this time.

    Now that you're in Sensors, see the Location? It probably shows "No Over Ride" but go ahead and click Manage. Here you'll see a few pre-loaded locations, and see that it is by geolocation? That's latitude and longitude. I hope most of you can find lat and long for somewhere in Buffalo area. Once you do, click Add Location. Don't worry about the time zone and stuff, not needed but name your new location. YOU WILL NEED TO LOAD IT EVERY TIME YOU GO TO CBS! I just leave it open on the right until I'm watching WIVB then I close it. If you make a mistake and forget, close out of CBS right away, and try it again... This is one of the reasons a totally separate browser is a good idea so the cache from it doesn't interfere and if it messes up, you can always uninstall and re-install with no loss of other important stuff.

    Now you just learned a large part of what a VPN does for you and it cost you nothing.... 😉

    You must have missed it last night. Schiff claims to have a new whistleblower to open the Russia hoax back up again.

    ....LMAO...how shocking....as soon as GOP Gov Kristi gave the green light, I NEVER anticipated such researchers' (COUGH) objective findings......now if it was renamed the "Sturgis BLM Peace Rally", over/under on cases is six..............

    Sturgis Motorcycle Rally linked to 20% of US coronavirus cases in August: researchers

    More than 460,000 people attended the 10-day rally

    By Evie Fordham | Fox News

    Nineteen percent of the 1.4 million new coronavirus cases in the U.S. between Aug. 2 and Sept. 2 can be traced back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally held in South Dakota, according to researchers from San Diego State University's Center for Health Economics & Policy Studies.

    That's more than 266,000 coronavirus cases attributed to the 10-day event, which more than 460,000 people attended despite fears it could become a so-called super-spreader event.

    "We conclude that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally generated public health costs of approximately $12.2 billion," the researchers wrote in a paper. "This is enough to have paid each of the estimated 462,182 rally attendees $26,553.64 not to attend."

    The event took place from Aug. 7 to Aug. 16 in the town of Sturgis, which has a population of roughly 7,000 people.

    The researchers said the rally increased coronavirus cases by approximately six to seven per 1,000 population in Meade County, home to Sturgis.

    "These results suggest that in contrast to prior large gatherings that have been studied (i.e., Tulsa and BLM protests), in the case of Sturgis, the local resident population appeared to participate in the events," the researchers wrote. "This raises the possibility that the local population may be at risk for COVID-19 spread, especially if mitigating strategies (i.e., mask-wearing, interacting closely with only household members, avoiding crowds) were not undertaken."

    Many of you have claimed expertise in identifying communists in general and communist arsonists in particular.  I have asked for tips and insight to improve my own ability to identify communists and communist arsonists.

    Unfortunately nobody was forthcoming with such advice.  Surely this is just because the “experts” in this area are secretive, and not because they’re making this “communist arsonist” issue up out of thin air.

    So I had to do my own research.  It turns out that these are telltale signs of communists:

    *uses unusual language;

    *clings to ideals without being willing to question them;

    *condemns American institutions;

    *picks on insignificant events for criticism;

    *secretive; and

    *belongs to groups exploiting controversial subjects.

    Over the weekend I identified a couple of guys who fit the criteria.  They use unusual language (racial slurs), cling to stupid ideas (racism), condemn at least one American institution (the First Amendment), pick on an insignificant event for criticisms (a bunch of people walking and talking about equal rights), secretive (they don’t have name tags on, right?), and belong to a group exploiting controversial subjects (they left their red hats in the car, but they have them).

    They’re pictured here:

    Discuss.

    Oh, and also, applying those criteria, I think that some of you might be communists.  FYI.

    Another thread just to prove more of your ignorance? This alone only shows that through all your bloviating you have never educated yourself on this topic.

  8. How will the liberals spin this one?

    Richard Spencer Backs Joe Biden, Says 'MAGA/Alt-Right Moment is Over'

    Quote

    White nationalist Richard Spencer has said he will be backing Democratic candidate Joe Biden in November's election after previously distancing himself from Donald Trump.

    Spencer, who was one of the key figureheads of the alt-right movement, tweeted how he is "on Team Joe" on Monday, adding in a self-made campaign slogan, "Liberals are clearly more competent."

    In a series of tweets, Spencer further explained his reasoning for backing Biden.

    "The MAGA/Alt-Right moment is over. I made mistakes; Trump is an obvious disaster; but mainly the paradigm contained flaws that we now are able to perceive. And it needs to end," Spencer wrote. "So be patient. We'll have another day in the sun. We need to recover and return in a new form."

    I always find it curious when leftists intentionally choose to mock Christians. It literally carries no value except, where the leftist is concerned, in hopes of shaking the sinner in each person to respond in a non-Christ like manner so they can yell "Aha! Some Christian you are!"

    It's grade-school rhetoric, which is probably why the left is so good at it.

    Nonetheless, @TakeYouToTasker is correct. The left will never, ever do anything that doesn't divide people into groups that they can pit against each other in order to paint the picture that only the left can save you now. I don't anticipate unity in my lifetime. You can only imagine how quickly the left would turn on a GOP president if 9/11 happened today. Bodies would still be jumping from buildings while the left would yell that THIS is why we need open borders.

    Lastly, I am not one to suggest we are in the last days, but Timothy 3:1-5 seems pretty interesting based on the way the left has gripped the large cities:

    May I take the liberty of adding some 1 Corinthians 1:18-25

    Quote

    18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

    “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
        the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c]

    20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

    Back to the thread............

    Kasich hurt Biden

    Democrats made a big mistake by giving John Kasich a prominent role in their convention because he won't gain them any Trump supporters. Kasich also will cost Biden Democrat votes.

    Basement Biden is in trouble. No one dislikes him but generates all the excitement of a tongue depressor.

    Democrats are not looking forward to this election.

    The DNC suffered a 25% drop in TV audiences on the first night of this convention from the 2016 when we were not a nation of shut-ins. Both had keynote speeches by Michelle Obama. When they go low, Democrats go boring.

    Giving precious airtime to Kasich was part of a tradition. Parties love to showcase defectors. While it makes party officials feel good, it is not practical. Did Zell Miller convince any Democrat to vote for Bush?

    Oh and Bill C. was the keynoter on Tuesday. No one under 40 was eligible to vote for the man. He's a boomer -- a geezer -- who is best known for a Me Too affair with an intern, way back in the last century. On top of that, he is married to the loser Democrats nominated 4 years ago.

    {SNIP}

    The problem with Kasich and Colin Powell is they stand for the things that Democrat voters not only oppose but no longer tolerate. Their appearance on the Democrat stage was a signal to the AOC crowd to prepare for another disappointment.

    Giving AOC only 60 seconds on stage amplified that signal.

    And watering down the platform was the final signal that Democrats have no intention of doing anything except hold onto power. Maybe they will do some of that Green New Deal stuff but only as a vehicle to pay subsidies to big donors and corporations.

    But it gets worse. Democrats brought in Kasich, who proceeded to diss AOC.

    Kasich said, "People on the extreme, whether they're on the left or on the right, they get outsized publicity that tends to define their party.

    "You know, I listen to people all the time make these statements, and because AOC gets outsized publicity doesn't mean she represents the Democrat Party. She's just a part, just some member of it. And it's on both sides, whether it's the Republicans or whether it's the Democrats."

    And President Trump smiled.

    Go ahead, Democrats, trash AOC -- and watch half your voters stay home.

    By the way, despite presiding over the best economy in 40 years, Democrats rioted and nominated a vice president in 1968.

    And lost.

    Kasich is an idiot... He got up there claiming Joe was a centrist/moderate, only to have Bernie get up there a few minutes later and claim the party is further left than ever before.
