And my credit card is hacked at least twice a year.  My money clip?  Never.  And all you guys bitching about the government knowing where every penny goes and not one of you concerned about the wives knowing.

Ha!!!! I have no problem with my wife knowing where our money goes. Instead of cards being hacked, my biggest problem is my wife losing hers once of twice a year. With her blessing though, while I have credit cards in her name, the only card she keeps with her all the time in a debit card I keep less than a grand in at a time just in case... ?

I do also keep cash on me, more for bars, or especially tips. 99% of the time, I tip with cash so it's up to them if they want to claim it or not.

The coin shortage is probably my fault... It's all these coffee cans full of change under my desk. My bank used to take it and count it out, to deposit in my accounts, but they don't have change counters anymore, and only offer to give me coin wrappers to count it myself. And I think those machines at the grocer charge to count it for you.

Agenda 21 is the big one that Obama supported. You see his (and globalists) goal was to get the UN by treaty to declare guns against the law. The Constitution holds treaties above any other law and the theory was it would over-ride even the second amendment.

The NYS one appears more troublesome for Trump.

Unfortunately for Trump the NYS one carries much more weight.

If congress gets the tax records and finds something wrong the worst outcome is impeachment. When Vance gets the tax records and finds something wrong the worst outcome is prison.

There is still the probable cause issue. Doesn't matter if it's NY or Congress, you still MUST HAVE probable cause to subpoena records. You don't start an investigation in the hopes of finding something.

  4. I think Trump made a mistake in this assuming a POTUS had immunity from investigations while in office. I suppose this was a question that need an answer, however I think moving forward, if he instead uses 4th Amendment right to privacy, and and demand Congress provide probable cause for the investigation, he will still win. Remember, the 4th doesn't have an asterisks that says "except in the case of Congressional claims of oversight".

If there is equal justice, there is certainly also equal protections.

If these numbers are true, expect a fast rethinking of "not going back to school" by the Democrats. The article goes into how the 18-24 year old group have been notoriously bad about voting, but the Obama machine shook the bushes and got them there. It goes on to explain how colleges have been very good lately about getting students to vote, etc...

I must be getting old cause I hadn't thought of this... To a large extent aside from unions, this is also where the Democrats get their foot soldiers to put up signs and such. Republicans won't be as affected because "grown ups" do a lot of their work for them...

I worked with a Japanese woman a number of years ago. We became great friends.  I really knew how to push her buttons.  "You Koreans are all alike."   "I'm NOT KOREAN!!   I'M JAPANESE!!!"

Works great with Filipinas, too! ?

Yup! When I was stationed on Okinawa many moons ago it seemed all the orientals hated each other. Korean, Japanese, Filipinos, and Chinese.  I think most of that went back to WWII and before but if there could be racism within a race that would have been proof!

  7. I saw this this morning, the last thing Charlie Daniels wrote on his blog........ Excuse me, I think I got something in my eye....

    My Beautiful America

Have you ever spent the late afternoon,
Watching the purple shadows deepen in the Arizona desert?
Or seen a herd of Elk plow their way
Through waist-deep snow on a cold Colorado dawn?
Did you ever see the sun go down in Hawaii
Or seen the stormy waves break over the rockbound coast of Maine
Or have you ever see an eagle fly up out of the mists of Alaska
Or a big October moon hanging full over the still Dakota badlands?

Have you ever tasted the gumbo in New Orleans, barbecue in Carolina
Or the chicken wings in Buffalo?
Have you ever had Brunswick stew in Macon, or cornbread in Birmingham?
Or briskets slow cook over hill country mesquite wood?

Did you ever drink the water from a gurgling branch in Utah,
Or stand on the mountain above El Paso Del Norte
And see the lights twinkling clear over into Mexico
Did you ever jingle horses in the pre-dawn stillness of a perfect Texas day
And watch their shod hooves kicking up sparks on the volcanic rock?

Or tended a trotline on a foggy Carolina morning,
Or heard the distant love song of a lovesick whippoorwill
On a pristine Tennessee late night?
Have you seen the faces on Mount Rushmore or stood at the Vietnam monument?

Have you ever crossed the mighty Mississippi,
Or been to the Daddy of ‘Em All in Cheyenne, Wyoming
Or seen the mighty Vols run out on the football field on a chilly autumn afternoon?

Did you ever see the Chicago skyline from Lakeshore Drive at night
Or the New England foliage in the fall,
Or the summer beauty of the Shenandoah Valley,
Or Indiana covered with new snow?

Did you ever seen a herd of wild horses running free
Across the empty spaces of Nevada?
Or caught a walleyed pike out of a cold Wisconsin stream,
Or marveled at the tall ships docked in the harbor at Baltimore?

Did you ever see the early morning dew sparkling on the bluegrass,
Or the wind stir the wheat fields on a hot Kansas afternoon
Or driven the lonely stretches of old Route 66
Have you ever heard the church bells peal their call to worship
On an early Sunday, in some small town in the Deep South?

Or passed through the Redwood Forest just as the sun was going down
Have you ever been to Boise or Baxley or Beaufort or Billings?
Have you ever passed through Sanford or Suffolk or San Angelo
Have you ever seen the falls at Niagara
The Ice Palace in Saint Paul
Or the Gateway to the West?

    This then is America!
The land God blesses with everything
And no Eiffel Tower: no Taj Mahal,
    No Alps, No Andes
No native hut, nor Royal Palace -
    Can rival her awesome beauty,
Her diverse population, her monolithic majesty.
    America the Free
    America the mighty
    America the beautiful

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
    One nation under God, indivisible
with liberty and justice for all.

    What do you think?

Pray for our troops, and for the peace of Jerusalem.

    God Bless America

    — Charlie Daniels

    Requires a Constitutional Amendment.

That Amendment would require the states whom the EC protects to vote to give up those protections.

The popular vote is not supposed to yield the winner by design.  This is a feature, not a flaw.  It’s why we have the EC rather than a popular vote by construction.

Now, if you don’t mind, please explain why the citizens of the states the EC protects would vote to give up those protections?

Or are you not familiar with how the Amendment process works?

And maybe while we're on this discussion of changing the Constitution, lets repeal the 17th Amendment while were at it. A part of the Republican Form of Government, the Senate was supposed to be selected by state legislatures, not the popular vote. With Republicans now holding majorities in 30 state legislatures, it would give the Republicans a 60 seat super majority.

To the Marxists here, see how this game CAN be played?

  9. My dad side were Quakers that came over with William Penn and settled in south central PA (Buffalo is part of my heritage cause my father went there for work). When the Revolution started, some of them figured there were indeed somethings worth fighting for and joined Washington's Army. That side of the family has served ever since, including for the North of course in the Civil War.

My mom side were butchers in Germany, and migrated over early 1900s.

So no one in my ancestry ever owned slaves and in fact fought to free ALL men! Fore an add on side note to this, I have a brother who owns a house in Ohio that was a part of the underground railroad in that area. It's partially filled in now, but his house has a tunnel under it that went to the other side of town and was used obviously to smuggle escaped slaves through town.

To clarify .... If POTUS elections continue to put in office candidates who do not

also win popular vote....there will be pressure to amend the constitution...

    can you grasp that?

Good luck... The EC is one of the brilliant ideas our Founders had that assures we remain a Republic so I hope you realize it would have to amend Article 2, Section 1 but also Article 4 Section 4, and the 12th Amendment. Highly doubtful anything would pass re-writing so much of our founding document.

Not at all and you know that.  A stalker would be someone who follows another person away from a common setting such as this board.  I don't do that.  You want to stand on the moral high ground of guilt shaming others about their family history relative to benefitting directly or indirectly from slavery.  I think for you to try to make that stand you should disclose your family history in terms of when primary factions came to North America and where they lived.  Once again I will reiterate that my mother's family came from Ireland after the potato famine and settled in the Northeast.  My father's family were Germans who came to the US in the 1880's and settled in the Western US.  A direct ancestor came to WNY during the 20th Century and stayed permanently.  See how painless that was.  Your turn.

This sounds like a great thread, where you ancestors came from. My mom came to America from Calabria as a baby, my dad from Corleone Sicily and yes I've heard all the Godfather jokes. They got jobs, learned English and didn't ask, nor received any government support

Darn it then, neither of you have ancestors who owned slaves then did they... And @bilzfancy I agree, if you start this thread I'll pipe in with my own and would be curious some of our more marxist members

I judge Trump by his body of work, having followed his expolits for a good chunk of my life.

When you stiff your debtors on a consistent basis, run a racist real estate business, run a crooked university, and consistently act like a buffoon that most of NYC laughs at, all before politics, it's hard to view him as a good guy.

Weird, if he consistently stiffed debtors as you allege, how the hell did he keep finding loans?

The university has been rehashed enough and thew buffoon crap is just to make your statement.

I would like you however to elaborate on the bold/underlined please?

    Cuomo:

Do one simple thing: Acknowledge to the American people that COVID exists. It is a major problem. It’s going to continue until we admit it and each of us stands up to do our part. If he does not acknowledge that, then he is facilitating the virus. He is enabling the virus. . . . Just wear the mask, and say to the American people, “this is real and it’s a problem and we have to do our part.” We started masks April 15. First state in the nation to start masks. They make a difference.
