The problem with saying this is McD's defenses get smoked in the playoffs by good QB's even when we do invest heavily in it. We were relatively healthy in 20 and 21 and gave up 40ish both years. We can't stop Mahomes or Burrow.

I've said it before, but the reality is we stuck with that by keeping McD. We are essentially just moving forward accepting that we need to score 30-40+ points and be near perfect offensively to win games vs top teams with this head coach here...so we do need to load up on offense.

I've said it before and say it again, thinking you have to outscore an opponent in shoot out not the way to win consistently. I get we e struggled with playoff defense but that's in large part due to injury to key players. Our defense was devoid of talent in the KC playoff game last season and obvious in how bad we played. Outscoring an opponent because you were able to stop them defensively a helluva lot easier.

Rousseau has not been anything special. Alright but disappears at times. Ed took 3 years to get consistent but was still a ghost in our last 2 playoff losses. A time we needed him to step up. You also have Boohie that got traded and AJ who finally started helping in year 4. How’s Elam doing anyway.  These are all first and second day picks that either didn’t pan out or took a few years to get the most out of them.
I don’t care about day 3 picks, most of them are a crapshoot anyway. We got a few good ones, doesn’t change the fact they continue to invest high picks in McDs D and don’t get much production out of them.

If you don't care about day 3 picks than you don't know how teams build rosters. Playmakers can make plays because they aren't playing every snap. Give me a list of teams that drafted around pick 25 over last four seasons that getting stellar play with each of their 1st and 2nd Rounders over that period of time?

That’s nice but this staff has drafted a number of underwhelming defensive players that struggle to see the field. People are getting sick of it. Best case scenario this guy gets into the rotation. Most likely scenario he is in and out of the lineup and starts to be helpful 3 years down the road.

Rousseau, Oliver, Milano, Bernard, Taron Johnson and Benford might disagree with you. Dane Jackson would too if we had kept him.

It is a massive, blinking red light need regardless of drafting Coleman. We have almost zero speed AND have no proven separator on the outside.

Samuel ran a 4.31, Shakir is a 4.43, Cook a 4.43. Go look at Tee Higgins draft profile and 40 time, he was 33rd overall in his draft. Very reminiscent of Coleman if ask me
