  1. I was thinking, if Buffalo gets a Monday or Sunday night game, opening week against the Jets may be a good idea. Both made a splash in free agency, and if you are going to put Buffalo in a prime-time game, early is less risky from a ratings standpoint.
  2. i i dont think polian or any experienced gm would accept taking the job after the draft...only one who the reigns are being handed off to....if Whaley signs elsewhere, i think Nix sticks it out one more year.
  3. i think Billick would have been willing to come here....lack of interest was on our side. No coach can help this team...need better players. Whomever the new DC is, should be one that can fire the players up. Maybe we can get Crennel....im sure he will walk from KC if he doesnt get the job, and potentially step in if Chan fails next year. I dont see Wanny sticking around. This role got him back in the nfl and he would put himself in a bad position to take a DC job with this team...he risks having the worst defense in the league because of the bills lack of talent and committment to get talent. if he fails, he then has a tough time getting to where he really wants to be which is a HC somewhere.
  4. Here is one take (all though i may be stretching it)....The OLine play in the middle in our division is very tough, and Levitre gives us the best chance to win those battles. yesterday, was a warm up vs. the jets, where Urbick will get eaten alive at Center. Unfortunately, the snaps didnt go well. Gailey was likely hoping Levitre would play better there. I think its a situation where he has showed in the past in practices he could play center, but hasnt had reps enough reps this year and it backfired. Bottom line is it's Gailey's fault that we didnt have a suitable answer when the C went down.
  5. Make OLB the top priority of the draft next year. Bring back Merriman, but he will likely need 2 years to come back from this surgery...Should not be part of the plan.
  6. i remmeber the secondary (mcgee and others) doing a great job of keeping T.O. in check that game. Or better than what we all expected..... Nice post. Go Bills.
  7. Agreed, i would add Nelson to the list. Also,i hope to be able to add Carrington and Aaron Williams, but they aren't deserving yet. Unfortunately, i dont think Spiller and Troup, our top 2 from last year are deserving.
  8. Time for our second round draft pick from last year to step up....but he has been about as productive as our first rounder. Any vets our there we can bring in for the remainder of the year?
  9. I agree with order, except I would put Stevie before Freddie, as Stevie is in his last year (I think). As for Freddie, even though he has 1 year left, i would renegotiate this year. I would lock in Wood and Levitre, before worrying about Bell and Pears. Bell is good, but I havve a feeling, his asking price will end up being too high, and some desperate team will pay him for it (like Jonas Jennings years back). Bell is too unreliable as a performer and injury wise to lock up in an expensive LT deal. Thoughts?
  10. Bottom line...he was way to expensive to carry on the roster, for just being a player to have on passing downs.
  11. Mixed emotions on this one. I like TO and he behaved when he was here. But like Chan said, we dont have Prima-Donna's on our team...he may ruin the chemistry of the offense.
  12. I still have hope for the two of them....but the contribution from our top 3 last year (Spiller, Troupe, and Carrington) does not look so good right now.
