  1. Obviously, everyone knows Buffalo has some very serious economic and structural problems.  To give a little background on myself, I'm a 2003 University of Rochester grad with a BA in Political Science.  I have thought about maybe getting involved in government one day and would love to help out in Buffalo.  So for those who have moved away or those thinking about it, I have a few questions that maybe you could help me with.

    1) Why did you move out of Buffalo?

    2) Where did you go?

    3) How does your new home compare to Buffalo?

    4) If the econonmy and job market were stable would you move back?

    5) What suggestions to you have to improve the quality of life here?

Any feedback you have would be awesome and maybe together we can save the city, haha.   Thanks.

    1. Wanted a new challenge / scenery. Career wise, I had moved up as far as I was going to go.

    2. Moved to Cartersville, Georgia.

    3. Housing prices are high in the Atlanta area. Property taxes are low, but you need to look at other taxes and fees which you may be charged for.

    4. Like to. I may have a hard time convincing the wife (she's from this area).

    5. As everybody else has said. Reduce government, lure business back into the state.

  2. Sabres: a revamped version of our old Blue and Gold jerseys, like they should have done instead of going to the Red and Black Adelphia colors.

Did I miss something? Don't we need a league first that is actually playing?

  3. Taxes are pretty reasonable in the metro Atlanta area, and even for a house of that size (about 5,300 SF), I doubt the yearly tax bill would exceed $5,000 in that area.

If they budget the $100,000 wisely, and get a little interest off of it, they shouldn't have too much trouble making it last.

Local news clip said the county tax assessors were having a problem appraising it. Apparently they can't find some comparables. Go figure.

  4. This is funny stuff.  The dynamics are always the same. Player leaves town for whatever reason and we rush to prove "he was an **** anyway"

By this time next week Bledsoe will be discovered to be gay, raped a girl scout,

and someone will reveal that they saw him at a bar leave only a 10% tip.

He left a tip? I heard he walked out on the bill. Poor waitress had to pay the entire $300 tab from her meager paycheck.

  5. Ok, I stand corrected, but how much did he do in playoff games? If the knock against Flutie was that he couldn't win playoff games, I think you need to examine RJ's record in playoff games for a valid comparison.

    Playoffs

    RJ 0-1

    DF 0-2

RJ left the field with a lead.

DF First playoff game - his supporting cast was the defending SB Champs Chicago Bears. Flutie sucked in that playoff game.

DF Second playoff game - Flutie left the field after he took a sack, and fumbled the ball and game away.

Bottom line. They were both lousy QB's. There is no need to bring either back, for any reason, other than to line them up against the wall, and shoot them.

  6. Oh that's right.  No what if questions.  I forgot the rules to this all important chat room.  Maybe you should all hop on the "what about Fiedler" thread and spew some venom there.

With DF, what "if" is not needed, because we already "know", from his time in Buffalo and San Diego. When push comes to shove, during that "must have game" Flutie may show, but odds say he will not. You can "lust" over DF all you want, and pin the Miami loss on Moulds, or be like the other Flakes and blame Andre, but DF did turn the ball over 3-4 times in that game, the last one doing the very thing all his supporters claimed he did not do. DF took a sack. In the process of that sack, DF fumbled the ball, and the game away.

DF comes up big in the small games, but comes up small in the big games (no pun intended). We already have a QB like that here now. His name is Drew.

Furthermore, the fact you even mentioned the scenario of choosing RJ or DF, as though these were the Bills only options, only proves the only way you can justify the greatness of DF is to compare him RJ. Try comparing DF to another QB, like Garcia or Holcombe (sp?).

  7. So I guess you are all in agreement that if you had to choose between Flutie and RJ, you would choose RJ to QB the Bills next season?

Since neither plays for this team, and because of that, neither is an option, this has got to be the stupidest question yet.

With that, your answer is: Neither player.

Just remember, RJ has a SB ring, DF can't even win a playoff game.

  8. what plan is that??  he never gave a plan.  other than to say he will train Iraqi's which is already happening, and building this fantasy alliance he keeps talking about with the Germans and the French, I didn't hear any plan.  your investigation won't take long.

The investigation may take longer than you think.

    John Kerry Web Site

Kerry did mention the website during the debate in answer to a question about his plans.
