I think given the amount of resources he'd demand, Milano is a much lower priority. I think you can replace Milano easier than you can replace Williams.
It is a Williams thread, but I respectfully disagree with this take. Milano is a rare talent in coverage and means a great deal on the field and to the team overall. No one has a better work ethic. He has a nose for the ball. He is a gamer. All he has done is make plays since he has been here. He has had a couple injuries, but none are chronic. Pay the man.

Not popular with many, but I think he is very under-appreciated. Is he an athletic freak? No. Is he smart, in position and a team fit? Absolutely.
The rise in the defense has coincided with the return of Wallace. Is he the sole cause? No. But it is not pure coincidence either. He has been a big upgrade since his return.
Plus, how many DBs post their cell number and call back EVERY person that calls them?? We have to get behind Levi a little, IMHO.

Let's hope paid by us. Williams & Milano, get 'er done Beane! Figure it out now that you got your new deal - be the warlock!

Man, a few hot takes:
1. Run fits fixed,
2. Lots of pressure all the time now;
3. Less vanilla
4. Looks like last year's D.
Take away the turnover-aided TD, we shut them down. 8 points. Wow. If D can match what O has been all year, we could have some fun!
Oh, and:
5. Welcome back Matt Milano!!!!

Knox is the man! C'mon man, we just beat the Steelers! Hello . . . !

I think Wallace is a good, smart CB that draws some unfair heat. Tre's talent means our CB2 is constantly targeted. I think Wallace fits our team and scheme, even though he is no Tre White. I would take Jackson second and Norman third and then only in an emergency.

Best of luck Hausch$$ - one of the bright spots in the early days of the McDermott rebuild. Great early signing.

I think Levi is a quality corner. In my view, we are definitely better with him out there than Norman. Dane Jackson could give him a push, but Levi is smart and an asset.

I don't think we are in cap trouble really. There are ample restructuring opportunities for a down cap year. I think Beane has this in hand. We will keep Hughes, Brown, Milano, none of those players need to be going anyplace next year.

I agree with the poster on page 1; that out pattern to Diggs is ridiculous arm strength, and a "throw him open" read from 35 yards out, and kinda off the back foot. An absolute laser, no one can make that throw except maybe Mahomes in my mind. Rogers and Stafford - maybe at their peak. He threw it so hard, the camera lost track of it. It had a speed and trajectory that NFL camera men did not anticipate. And what a tough son of a gun, and what a teammate. Just wow.
Maybe the topper for me in that game, as bad as our offense was in the third quarter, and despite all the momentum for the Cardinals, I believed it likely Josh would bring them back in the fourth. Have not had that feeling since Kelly, who could stink as bad as you can imagine in the first half and come out throwing daggers in the second.

We already lack backers, and Milano is a huge difference maker for our D. I think team and Matt like each other as well, and the bet here is both sides will bend a bit and meet in the middle of the bid and the ask. I think it would be absolutely insane to let Milano walk.

Coaching is coaching. MC had his best year of his illustrious career with me! Not always fun but key is to get the best out of “the” player. #woody #toystory https://t.co/zpvFRzJxjm

He takes a stab at Cassell because he thinks Matt looks like Woody from Toy Story. 🤣
He does, no? Not defending Haley, just saying - not a terrible look.

In 2008, I decided to take my wife (then girlfriend) to Buffalo to meet my extended family. Conveniently, I made it the weekend the Bills were playing the Browns on Monday night football. It was November 17th. We got there around 5pm or so to start the pre-game festivities. The temp was around 32 or so degrees, and by kick-off it was down to maybe 28 or 29. I swear I haven't been that cold since. I had hand warmers inside my gloves, down in my underwear, and in my shoes. My poor wife is from New Orleans, and I remember looking over at her, and she looked so miserable...at halftime she said "I'm going to sit in the car." I couldn't be mad at her. Ever since that game I've never gone to a Bills game past October lol.
You see, it was memorable - albeit tough. A dome game probably not so much, especially Buffalo vs. Cleveland. Even sounds like a freezing match of the incompetents 🥵
Nothing feels better than getting home or into a warm bar after a freezing home game at the Ralph. Especially if you have dry feet!

You still got it bro, I am knocking on that 60 door myself😏 Have not steeped through it yet, but I am hanging on to my 50's by a thread!

There is no quarterback in the NFL I would rather have, the man, the person and the player. I know you are making Grandma proud in all three areas!

He seems to have settled in. Plus it is fun to cheer "Bassmaster" when he makes one!

You had me for a while, but lost me when you said play in at MLB. Lee lacks sand in the pants. If you want to play him with Tre sometimes, okay, let's see how he does in spot duty. But he is bouncing around the league for a reason.

Share this view - based on a fan's eyeball test vs. Pats I thought Marlowe was a defensive difference-maker. A brightspot.

I mentioned in another post, I would like to see more Siran Neal, maybe instead of Klein when we are guessing pass. Dean Marlowe balled against the Pats, I thought, get him on the field more too, even when Hyde plays. Sitting in our base D just doesn't work with Milano and Edmunds banged up. We have to bring unexpected players from unusual angles and increase team speed on the field when expecting pass. I think we saw some of that in the Pats game.

I have a lot of respect for Siran Neal's game. Dude is a hitter, and a sure tackler (notwithstanding the Houston game). I would like to see him used in more packages designed to rush and contain mobile QBs, help cover drag routes across the middle. The play where him and Milano both bounced off Watson was all-time unlucky, but it showed what Siran can bring off the edge. And I think he has the quicks to actually get Wilson on the ground. Let him lurk in the middle some and cover crossing routes with one eye on Wilson.
Same concept as some are suggesting about Darren Lee, but I trust Siran Neal more than Lee and he knows the system better. Their weight is not too different.

Hyde is always the one McDermott talks to on the sidelines. We need to draft an off-corner #1, get some quality depth at LB and re-sign Milano. We do that I think our D will be back at the top of the league.
Oh, and get Star or another tub of goo to clog the run. No need to ditch Hyde, maybe a modest restructure.

Lamar is really good. I like Allen better.
