  1. Much to my surprise, the Colts have a really tough schedule. They are matched-up against the dreaded AFC West.

It’s surprisingly tough, check it out…

That makes me feel better about our chances to get home-field…

Mark my words though… The Bills defense is going to need time.

I don’t like it, but I think that it is a reality.

The Defensive Line? They don’t even know eachother. Five new DL.

The ends? Von and three kids. Are they ready? They Should be. No rookies at least.

Do they have the talent? We’re going to find out.

Then we don’t know when Tre is going to be ready and we all know what our D is like without Tre…

We have a great rookie on the other side but still, he’s a rookie, he is going to take some time….

I see our defense really molding into something after our Bye. I think it ends up being much better than last year.

Once they get to really know eachother and start to play for eachother. Once they get to know Buffalo and start playing for the fans.

Once they but into the defense (I hope they buy into the defense, I hope Leslie has them Billieving, I hope so) and Once Tre and Kaiir are comfortable. Once Kaiir is a part of that D just as comfortable as the other four starters in the secondary. And on the same page with the front six. I think it’s going to take time.

I think this is OK as our team, our offense and our STs are pretty strong. We can get by and get some wins without the best defense.

My only worry is that we lose too many games early to win home-field. I think barring injuries, our team really takes off after that bye. The NFL will question whether the Bills can beat the better teams after this but the answer to that question is an astounding YES. We will be a very different by the end of the year as the defense catches up to the offense and STs…. I think the Bills really kick ass in the playoffs this year if they avoid the injury bug. Once Tre, Hyde, Poyer, TJ and Kaiir marry, once the Von gets that DL to also marry, Tremaine links the DL and the Secondary and we kick the s*** out of teams.

  2. I want to get my Lindy’s NFL mag soI can really compare rosters man to man….there has just been too many moves for me to follow and then try to remember what the hell happened. I really want to look at the lines of each team. It seems so many teams have at least two dominant DLs and we are a big unknown as far as that goes. Then you have to look at the four starters on the DL and then the depth. Then you can do the same thing with the OLs. Then weapons, corners, right on down the line…. The mag comes out in June and is worth every penny for the crazed fan. You can read it right through and then reference it and read about the team the Bills are about to play once again. I don’t necessarily buy their opinions, but they go over each player to give you know who is where.

Honestly, the Bills have the best offense imho, the potential for a great defense, but probably just good. Hopefully better than last year. Once Tre and Kaiir are fully integrated our defense might shine though it is an exciting thought to see that secondary healthy. …Maybe Araiza shocks the NFL and is an absolute steal. Maybe Shakir turns out to be an excellent returner. Maybe Bernard and late round LB are tremendous special teamers and together these additions vault our Special Teams to #1. Not many folks talk about how great our STs were in the Jim Kelly era….they can win you games! I could see STs really taking a huge step up. Maybe Cook is a returner as well?

Wild stabs at divisions: Buffalo, SD, Cincinnati and the colts…. Very little surprises here I know….All these teams are real threats to Buffalo….unless our DL is very good….

The Eagles are loaded. The Dolphins of the NFC, they have everything but a QB.

What an offseason they are having but IDK how they stack up at every position. They got one of my favorite guys in the draft though in the giant Georgia DT…. He is going to be a total stud.

New England is always a threat still. They are almost always going to play tough and keep it close if they don’t turn the ball over. They are a high IQ football team and generally scheme against us quite well. They also now have like 5-6 running backs to pound us with and the short pass game will be there for them.

Miami has enough talent to compete but first year head coach I don’t think it threatening us.

I think the Jets are a year or two or ten from actually competing

We absolutely killed them last year…. Two times in a row….

  5. Quessenberry is a lock. At least, he had better well be…. We’re in big trouble if this cat can’t play.

OMG, McKenzie and Crowder are locks too… you’re not doing a very good job at this….

AJ is also a lock, and there are various players that should be in blue not red…

I completely disagree with most of this assessment.

To some degree sure...but the season with no fans where the splits were almost the same suggest there is more at play, especially considering the season before and after were tilted in favor of road splits.

You’d have to check the weather in every game. Maybe the weather was mild for the most when he played without a crowd? The sample size is very small which permits error….

  7. For me…. It would be how we lost to KC in the playoffs for the third straight year…. Though I have high hopes we win home-field (at least vs. the chefs) and we beat them twice this year and both games count. Just like we beat them last year. It counted.

What we need to see is a different approach to defending Mahomes and the other great QBs. We built a new DL for a reason. We drafted Kaiir for a reason (Bernard and villi CB too). We have to try something different as well as get better talent, imho…

If our defense just stunk up the field again playing KC in KC I would hope we at the very least, part ways with Leslie….

I don’t mind losing again. It would be how we lose… if the D just stinks again, it’s time to move on (and you can make a great case it should have been last year.)

Ingram is a solid pick up for the Fish.

Their defense is looking pretty loaded with talent but until they can stop JA17 from doing his thing doesn't really matter.

I think Josh is going to show in week one, how good he can be behind the best OL he has ever had easy….

He is going to throw like a shot gun. Spreading that ball all over the place…. Look for Josh to complete passes to seven different targets (easy) come week one. He’ll do that same thing every week as long as that starting OL holds up….

Good motivation for Dion Dawkins.    He's not real fond of Ingram, as I recall.   Hopefully the media makes note to remind Dion of the pressure Ingram got playing against Dawkins in the opener last season.    That was basically the only high point of his brief Steelers career.

Wasn’t that, recovering from Covid still, part of Dion’s season?

  10. I’m seeing a helluva lot assumptions….here. I guess the hope is our upgrades are all upgrades….

We’re all going to havta see that’s all…

I hope you’re right and I’ll be rootin’ for the Bills as always….

Just gotta watch out for assumptions….

-1.5 at KC is the biggest shocker. I guess Vegas considers Tyreek Hill to be a huge loss.

I think by week six (or 7?) Tre and Kaiir are settled in as an outside CB pair and we really start kicking butt.

I think we beat the chefs like we beat them last year in the regular season. (Knock on wood we’re healthy.)

    Go Bills!

  12. Who here thinks the Bills will win?

I think Allen is way better than Stafford and that we kick their butts…..

Having said that, it occurs to me that our secondary will NOT be ready to play yet….

We probably have an antsy Elam with Tre watching ….
Once we get our secondary right, I think we kill a few supposed great teams….

Might not be to around week six though…

By then Kaiir will be adjusted to the NFL and Tre will have his legs back….

So, The rams luck out they get us week one.

But I think we can beat them anyway…..

As bad as the Bills D was against KC I still can’t believe the bengals didn’t watch Kupp once Odell got hurt. The bengals are as bad as we were….

It really sucks we have to continue to play without a 100% Tre White. It blows….

    Now, I wanna sign a vet CB….

Bills really wanted a RB they could play at WR.

I guess we want to run this play as no one can really cover it now…. A LB can cover Cook is my impression.

If you have this match up what a defense chooses to do to stop it should open up other things.

This offense, with Cook on the field, ought to be pretty similar to what we ran wih end we had the Thurmanator….

If the defense stays big we pass to Cook or whomever, if they try to matchup in the pass game, we run it to Cook. Let our OL have some fun.

It looks like KD wants to be even more matchup happy than Daboll…. And moreso, I think we want to use Allen as a runner less…

    We’ll use him a blocker instead….

That was us not too long ago…. Can you imagine the fans in Chicago?

    yeah!

Is a ‘git r done Beanie’ appropriate here? 🤔

I hope not. I want to be fair but that’s it. I take managements side when it comes to football (but only football). We’re trying to win a Super Bowl here, not be on the highest paid players lists…. I want bargains in Buffalo!

I'm excited about all the young DE's.  Thinking about all the Bills draft picks that took big steps in year 3, I would certainly expect Epenesa to have a similar jump.  Also the fact the Groot had a bf Rookie year should bode well, I just hope he doesn't got he other way into a Sophomore slump?

Groot is so young I can see a real big jump. He gained over 30#s last year, how about this year?

All three are so young. AJ is only 23 now. While I think we need them to win a Super Bowl I think that they might do it.

The DL is the biggest question mark of the year….I the three young guys meld with the five new guys and Ed takes a step (and Ed should as Von will take some doubles away) we win theSuper Bowl. It’s a simplistic way of looking at it but I Billieve we have the rest down.

Eventually, we should have the best secondary in the league.

LB may not be a big strength but it sure isn’t a weakness either.

OL looks good but our depth is another question mark.

We look better than most in weapons, imho.,.

Josh is the best there is.

If we win a Super Bowl it means our lines were at least, “good.”

    Maybe very good, we’ll see….

    Go Bills!

Beane indicated Tre' should be ready for regular season in a recent press conference.  If Tre' makes it back to camp by mid-August that would be 9 months post op as believe procedure was completed in mid-DEC.

I never heard Beane say anything about Tre’s return one way or the other, just that he’s on schedule.

He was operated on December 15, so September 15 with be the nine month marker.

If he’s ready opening day, I think he’ll surpass Peterson in return time. I’m not sure that’s what we want to accomplish with such a valuable player for us. I’d rather take a couple losses, and get Tre back right than have him play on a stiff leg or anything like that. ACL comebacks are still a big deal and Bills fans need patience and understanding with regards to Tre. We’re trying to win a Super Bowl here we need a 100% Tre for the playoffs….  Dane Jackson will probably start in week one with Elam and we’ll probably use Cam or possibly someone else as the dime. I think it is going to take awhile before our secondary solidifies and there’s nothing wrong with that.

JA is going to have to destroy teams like usual….
