  1. Wow, this coaching staff can't develop talent for s#!* ! Very few players come into this league ready to play. I thought the whole point was to acquire raw talent and make them better. I'm all for taking out the trash, but for F%#k's sake, make sure it's actual trash first. Of this team's many disturbing trends, this one bothers me the most. Why even bother drafting at all?
  2. Then why didn't they play him when Fitz busted his ribs? This is a clear-cut case of rampant favoritism and sentimentality by the HC and GM. If you needed proof that Buddy and Chan's best days are behind them, look no further.
  3. Fitz to Graham deep? You think that's ever gonna be "a thing"? Don't you guys get that FITZ DOESNT CHANGE! -He still has the same effed up throwing motion that leads to INT's and batted balls. He can't let it go. -Just like that stupid beard! Lee came in here and GAVE UP trying to show Fitz the correct way to throw a football. Instead he opted to focus on footwork. -Which IMO wasn't the problem. Now we've added poor Tavaris Jackson to this circus of incompetence, and failure. Fitz managed to save his buddy Thigpen from the axe. -Temporarily. But he won't be able to save himself or his enabling HC. What a nightmare. The offseason spending spree was all for nothing.
  4. In the likely event that Fitz falls flat on his face trying to run our quirky offense, can we bench him and put in T. Jackson? How many wins can we expect in that scenario? This deal is the most retarded thing I've seen us do in a while. It equals more IN-security at a vital position, and more security for a QB who DOES NOT deserve it. The only good that comes from this will be the ouster of Buddy, Chan, and their smarty-pants QB. -That's all I'm really looking forward to.
  5. Wilson has been named the Starter for week one. -It's official.
  6. So did Fitzpatrick. -And he's a 48 wonder-lickin, Harvard-educated genius. We needed Wilson! This trade will be just the latest in a 12-year comedy of errors. Tavaris can't stay healthy to save his life. what a frickin' disaster authored by Nix and Gailey.
  7. If we finished this season 11-5, I would absolutely SOIL myself. I think 5-11 is far more likely. The only silver lining about that would be the FIRING of Chan Gailey, and the drafting of Ryan Fitzpatrick's replacement. Curtis Modkins can take a walk too. GO BILLS!
  8. Look, the guy has been through alot. He left Tennessee under a hail of bullets. Now, he's in a new town, trying to learn a new offense, while fighting for his life against a guy who catches footballs with his FACE. I imagine he's trying to keep himself balanced. Not to high or too low. What's the point of getting pumped about the team if you can be waived at any time? I've had my doubts about the guy, but after watching him play, I think he can still be a difference maker. -I'm pulling for VY to make the final roster.
  9. Pachall? I was hoping for Landry Jones, or Denard Robinson!
  10. Right. Made a boo-boo when I was typing. -It's been corrected.
  11. Here's the endictment: The Bills currently have the longest active playoff drought in The NFL. The lesser charges include not being able to find a competent coach, or capable QB in almost 20 years. The accusations of ineptitiude aren't a new thing. -Clearly, There's been a pattern of ineptitiude for at least twelve years! Whether its the F.O. or the coaching staff, a host of bad calls have brought this team to where it is today. And what's this NONSENSE about "anointing" Russell Wilson anything? Are you people blind? -This kid is out there earning it every chance he gets! Few people have given Wilson anything but doubt despite him dominating at every single level. -I'll tell you what borders on insane, -the pig-headedness of some of these Wilson-doubters! What has Fitz accomplished? What cause do any of us have to believe in him at all? -So far He's a failure. Yet Fitz could go out there, throw two completions, and we're headed for the playoffs! Oh, wait! -But he's smart right? You haters aren't going to recognize this kid 'til he comes to town and throws that ball all over our high-priced defense. That's what Wilson does. -The kid didn't start any of this hate, but I believe he's going to finish it before all is said and done.
  12. The NFL is a business. The sea-hags have committed a dump truck of money to the success of Matt Flynn, who comes highly touted, and possesses valuable NFL experience. -At 5' 10" 3/4, rookie Russell Wilson should not win this this battle. Strangely, someone forgot to give Rusell that memo. There's a chance that Wilson feels he won't get to start in September. Still, the kid is a winner. He wants to leave no question in the minds of his doubters as who the best QB on the team is. I expect him to etch that in cement later on this evening. He's also planting a seed in the minds of other organizations as to his upside and potential. Pete Carroll recognized immediately the type of competitior that Wilson is. This kid simply will not stop until he has it all. In addition to providing an impetus to Flynn, Caroll is also doing due-diligence in his investigation of Wilson's ability. Regardless of tonight's outcome, I would not expect an official decision to come until the start of the season. Carroll doesn't have to give the media anything, and shouldn't rush to do so. -CAN'T WAIT to see this kid go with the starters!
  13. Thigpen goes. -It's the only way. Fitz is probably making a last-ditch appeal for his buddy, but it won't won't work. Thiggy got the vote of no confidence when Fitz got his ribs busted last year.
  14. Not sure I'm comfortable mentioning Williams in the same sentence as Bruce Smith. Bruce Smith ws a baaaaaaaaad man.
  15. Yah, knock him out of a game, and then buy him a hot dog he can eat quietly on the sideline.
  16. Yah, that's what everyone says, but I'm not going to be fully satisfied until I see it happen. Pound that Mark Sanchez until he's about the thickness of a crispy tortilla, and I'll be SOLD. -Salsa anyone?
  17. Only ones that fit. What can i say, I'm impressed by Chandler's ability to fight for, and bring down tough catches -Fitzo's wounded ducks aren't exactly the most catchable balls either. -Whether they're contested or not. Even if Scott "the handler" Chandler is rejected by the media, I'd be happy if the fans at home just yelled SCOTTTEEEEEEE! when he makes a big play. Which he will at some point. Bottom line: I think we've got something special with Scott, and I'd like to see him encouraged.
  18. The "Handler" is my new nickname for TE Scott Chandler. It's a fitting moniker considering the guy has done nothing but "handle" his business in his first full season as a Buffalo Bill. IMO, he's an above average blocker, has fantastic hands, and is horribly underrated as an athlete. He's also shamefully under-utilized in this offense. If you look at some of last year's numbers compared to a few of the leagues better TE's, you'll see that Chandler stacks up fairly well. in 14 games he had 38 catches for 389 yards and 6 TD's. Pretty decent when you consider he only had nine starts in those 14 games. Jason Witten played a full season, and caught twice a many balls, but still only got 5 TD's. -Tony Gonzalez caught 80 balls in a full season gained 875 yards, and scored seven. For Chandler, those numbers hint at a guy who will make the most of scoring opportunities when given. The picture of his production becomes even clearer when you look at some of his situational stats. Chandler has twice as many catches when we're behind (18), as opposed to when we're ahead (9). He also has twice as many recieving yards when we're losing as opposed to when winning. -Why is that? Rob Gronkowski's numbers are just the opposite! Gronk has 52 catches, and 792 yards when the Pats are up, compared to 33 catches and 505 yards when they're behind. -Granted, they're ahead alot. Still, the way they use Rob Gronkowski could be part of the reason why. Even Tony Gonzalez's numbers are closer to being balanced when playing with a lead as opposed to from behind. -IMO, that's a big clue for this offense going forward. Chandler is a guy that WANTS to produce. Why not dial him in earlier, and KEEP him involved throughout the game? Of course, a few naysayers will harp on the fact that he's been waived by every team he's ever been on. (except us.) I mean if Chandler was so good, then how come he got cut by the team that drafted him? (SDG) and pegged for practice squads by every subsequent stop? (DAL, NYG) My heartfelt answer is that I really don't give a flying f***. All I know is that after getting dissed by all those teams, Chandler's first career start featured two TD's on five catches for 63 yards. -A stat that does no justice to his performance against a ten-win, AFC West Champion, Chiefs squad. Of course, Gailey sees this and concludes that LESS of Chandler on the field is somehow a good thing. It's not that difficult Chan. If we're going to have a shot at anything good this season, Scott Chandler has got to be neck-deep in this offense. -Especially north of the 50 yard line. Chandler's game-time production reveals a focused, hungry, player, who's tough, talented, and reliable enough to be one of our core guys. Handle your business Scott!
  19. BA-ZING! Couldn't agree more. T.J. may turn out to be good, but he has nowhere near the body of work amassed by Wilson and Cousins. Watching those two square off twice last college season was a real treat! I prefer Wilson, but I'd be lying if I said Cousins didn't show some MAJOR upside.
  20. Clearly. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/rex-grossman-battles-for-backup-qb-spot-works-with-starter-robert-griffin-iii/2012/07/29/gJQAgYu4IX_story.html http://www.delmarvanow.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120821/SPORTS/208210324
  21. Simon, under what circumstances have you met Shawne Merriman? You're the one getting "personal" about a post that was never directed at you. "A former Buffalo Bill who you've never so much as met?" How about a former Charger who had a rep around town for being a real a***ole. You act like the guy was with us for ten frickin' years! -Merriman came here hurt, and pretty much remained that way the whole time! Anyone can make noise, and act interested when it serves their purpose. IMO, We were never more than a paycheck for a guy who had little in the way of options at the time. Either way, -I have ZERO interest in trading barbs with anyone over a guy like that. I just hope one day you get to see Merriman for what he really is.
  22. In that case, you may want to avoid the "Thigpen Cut" thread when it's eventually posted. -I'm not a fan of Tyler's either.
  23. Hmm... it would make sense. However, Rexy doesn't need another gimpy, lackluster, player on his D-line. I don't know why, but I have a sneaking suspicion about the Ravens. I wouldn't be shocked if that was where Merriman wound up.
  24. Awesome move FO! Shawne "man down" Merriman has been milking it for years, and i'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. I used to get flamed every time I suggested cutting him loose, TAKE THAT armchair GM's. But seriously, a move like this puts all the half-a$$ed defensive players on notice. IMO, it was a VERY well-timed firing. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Maybe that skank Tila Tequila has a "position" open for an overrated, steroid-using, has-been.
  25. Call me nuts, but I think VY, and Brad Smith have us covered if Fitzy goes down. I like Tavaris, but IMO, he'd be yet another BIG question mark on a fooball team that already has enough. It's simple. CUT THIGPEN. And there's your depth at QB.
