The way Talent is managed in this organization is laughable... We couldn't get Marshawn under control, or Stevie, or any other great talent that came through here, and went bust in the last 15 years... Almost... There isn't much in the way of hard figures to fully convict or exonerate Uber... However.. If taxis are old-hat, and Uber is the way of the future, -are we replacing something unsafe, and marginally reliable with something even WORSE simply because it's cheaper? Much remains to be seen... The cabs in my area carry A MILLION dollars in liability insurance, or they don't roll... That means for now, the cabbie gets the benefit of my doubt.

I have no qualms about using PT if it's accessible and convenient... Getting into a stranger's private vehicle is something totally different and unrelated... A bus or train follows a set route with designated stop points along the way... Stations are typically well-lit with lots of people around... Police and transit authorities are never too far away.... It feels like this "sharing economy" is replacing aspects of the service industry in many places. (taxicabs, standard hotels.) The competition isn't just unfair... Many of the industry safeguards developed and implemented over time by local governments ( and the industries themselves) are falling by the wayside... Many of these standards and practices served as protection for the consumer... Something which doesn't seem important to anyone anymore... I find that personally alarming, and therefore, have decided to buck the "sharing" trend... Perhaps you can give me a scenario where it "makes sense" to book accommodations in a total stranger's home? A few ground rules: Amy Adams, Jessica Biel, Jessica Chastain, Zoe Saldana, and Christina Hendricks are presumed to be single, unattached, and not considered "strangers" as stated above.
