  1. No.. But I am bored to tears by your nothing stat.... Can you draw any worthwhile conclusions? Perhaps we should just let 'em sack Taylor to move the chains....
  2. Tyrod plays well after you knock some sense into him?... Great!.... Kick him in the nuts once every down, and let's run the K-gun!
  3. Fair, and accurate assessment: http://theteam.fm/2017/01/08/the-great-tyrod-taylor-debate-is-moving-on-the-right-move-for-the-bills/
  4. ANY statement some dim-with troll gets a hold of can be inflammatory... if you're offended by TT being called "tightwad", it might be time to change maxi-pads... OR, simply try not posting on "heavy-flow" days. Haaaaa! NO WAY! How long have you been biting your lip on this thread?... -Good to hear from you! FYI..Smith to Kaufmann would have been a f*%$ing phenomenon!
  5. You're all butt-hurt because you and Scott couldn't prove your "offense was good enough" bulls#!*-pipe dream... Bu hey, I never asked you to.... I just pointed out that the offense was only good enough when it came to outscoring turrble teams...
  6. Haaa. Laughable! So, calling someone a tightwad now is "bashing them"? I only re-iterated what dozens of sports websites already observed. When I said "only the worst posters on the board took the thread as an opportunity to bash Tyrod" I meant the thread wasn't about bashing him at all... And yes, I called out a few of his cabana-boys for overreacting to stats that could be critical of him... This is actually VERY good... I receive similar drama whenever I shine a light on a coach or player with an issue... 9 times out of 10, That player/coach is GONE shortly thereafter... So shoot the messenger if you must... I'm used to it... Just don't whine when he shoots back a time or two...
  7. First you say: Of course, any dimwit-troll eventually says: Only the worst posters on the board took the thread as an opportunity to bash Tyrod... I actually thought the site would be a good resource for anyone else to assemble their own stats, and theories for the upcoming season. The thread itself highlighted a passing stat that was 32nd in a ranking of 32 teams.. When coupled with other low-end passing stats, it reveals a situationthat I feel requires improvement... Why? -Because the defense could still be an issue this season... In that event, this team cannot count on an abundance of 4-12, 2-14, and 1-15 pushovers to boost our win total... We will have to out-score good teams... So, to those content with dumping the entire failed season at the feet of Rex Ryans staff, I will tell you that you are 100% not wrong.. I'll also remind you that Rex is no longer here to blame... Don't be shocked if a stat many of you dismiss, comes back to haunt you in a big way.
  8. (*yawn*) -Only in an absolute vacuum are points just points, and yards just yards...I rejected that aspect of the OP's statement, right off the bat.... It's a dummy-fied observation that's disingenuous to the dynamic that exists on a football field. I removed the OP's words from that vacuum, and put them in the context of the hair-brained QB scrambles that get you no points at all... That's no fallacy.. That sh*t HAPPENED... Anyway, thanks for agreeing with the basis of my thread about 15 posts ago... Seems you like putting up your fights in reverse..
  9. What a typical teenage, dirtbag, response... "The best teams on that list" were also highly competitive in several other areas of their offense... They were able to make up for their shortcomings by not being one-trick ponies.... -Which we seem to be... That one stat speaks volumes about who our offense is, and what our challenges are... But... if ignorance is what you prefer... More power to you. Because of people just... like.. you.... .
  10. No they're not, and NO They are not! So what?! Tyrod scrambles for a quick 7 yards on a 2nd &10... Doesn't see a WIDE OPEN Charles clay for 20! -What good are those seven yards? We didn't get a first down, and you don't know what's gonna happen on the next play...O-line penalty... Bad snap... Now, instead of 3rd and 3 you're 3rd and 15... You think TT throws on that 3rd and 15??? -NO, he hands it off to McCoy, who gashes the D for a respectable 12 yards.... Now it's 4th and 3 on the opposing 40! TT bumped his stats... McCoy bumped his stats... The play went nowhere.
  11. What's weird is that no one ever said this... NO... None of that matters one bit.... I posted Atlanta's worthwhile stats on the previous page (post #105)... In short, they passed for more yardage per pass, and more TD'S... ATL's overall defense was actually ranked worse than ours... Add to that a top 10 run game, and Atlanta was championship bound.
  12. I LOVE Nathans' original hot dogs.... Just add sauerkraut, mustard, and leave me alone.... The Avatar is a shout-out to Nate Peterman, but Nathan's hot-dogs are the s#!t!!!
  13. Hope it wasn't it the "burger" joint analogy. Er... Because I left some things out. First off, that waitress that went on maternity leave? -Uhh.... Let's just say that kid is going to resemble you... ALOT. Aaaaaaand your 20 year old son... -The one who lost his lacrosse scholarship at the 'Cuse for using "hatespeech"? -Sure that accusation was trumped-up, and it's summer so the kid needs a job, right? -Still, you MAY want to keep him away from the cash registers since he's been feeling a bit under-paid lately. Uh.... That contractor you hired to replace the other one... Your wife knows him.... REALLY. REALLY. WELL.. *(sigh) it seems.... She knew BOTH of them really well... Uh... Your employees just contacted a local union rep.... Uh... and you're five minutes from being served papers on a sexual harassment lawsuit. (Yep, from another waitress) Bottom line: -Better burgers may not seem like they're helping you right away... But they will, eventually... I promise... It's true... You can't ignore last year's WR situation.... Still, I'm not so sure I'd call them "beyond awful"... TT missed ALOT of open guys downfield.. That, coming from multiple sources, not just me....Whether he was afraid to throw, or didn't see the open man, the result is the same... We left alot of plays on the field.... Given 2016's WR situation, you have to question the wisdom of letting Vets like Decker and Maclin pass by...
  14. Look, they were only really bad against the run (29th) 19th overall.... Our offense could have helped keep pace in some of the closer games we lost.... Rex definitely trashed something good... However, unless we get Jim Schwartz back, we're going to need to be better than dead last in passing attempts... D or no D, -the run may not get it done.
  15. Let's try a GROWNUP look at your scenario, shall we? You're a guy running a business... a burger place for example... Burgers, fries, and dogs, (for the non-educated palates out there) Of course, there's TONS of competition to win "Burger joint of the year", but you need to win at some point to stay relevant, gain fame, and boost the value of your business... Sadly, you're never even a FINALIST! It seems you have the BEST fries... Good hot dogs... And a small but loyal customer base... -So what keeps you out of the running??? TERRIBLE FRICKIN' BURGERS. -That's what keeps you out of the running. It's a shame because you LOVE your chef... The customers you retain swear by him, -the wait staff even has his back... His fries and hot dogs can go up against ANYONE'S! His burgers, however, taste like cardboard... You've asked him to change the recipe, but it's hard... He only knows one way to make 'em.... The perennial finalists have bigger, jucier, and more tasty burgers hands-down..... Their fries suck, and they're pricier, but they get away with it because they deliver a good feature product. And... You have another problem... You're bleeding expenses because you're building is in need of repair. -There are leaks, and inefficiencies that cost thousands a month.... You have to address it... So you do.. You fire the contractor you had working on it, and get someone else to put a finger in the dike... Problem addressed... For now... Still, the competition kicks your azz every day.... They're packin' 'em in, and you're simply staying alive despite not bleeding cash anymore. If you could only get that darn chef to change his recipe? Or, do you need a new chef? Or, do you just concede that you'll always be a "dog's and fries" place, and NOT a well-balanced football team. -I meant "burger joint!" Anyway, that's more like where we're at... And I'm hungry for some strange reason.
  16. From a guy who's so simple he ended up agreeing with my original post! -Does your mom even KNOW you're using her tablet?
  17. You said : Then you shamelessly agreed with me by saying: But here's the crux: Bills D was ranked 19th overall.... Miserable by Schwartz standards, but not exactly horrendous by NFL standards.. 6th against the pass (GOOD ) but 29th against the run (BAD, VERY BAD! ) ATL went to the Superbowl with the 25th ranked overall D... 17th against the run, 28th against the pass... They also weren't that much better than us in passing Attempts (27th) -So where did they excel??? Despite being 27th in pass attempts, ATL was #2 in passing yards (Bills were 30th) and #2 in passing TD's (Bills were 27th) TRANSLATION: -Ryan didn't throw that much, but when he did, he SURE made it count! ATL's rushing attack was then able to COMPLIMENT Ryan's cannon by being #5 in Rushing yards, and #3 in rushing TD's! I DID NOT invent these numbers people... And they don't tell a story that I particularly like... Still, the facts are clear.... As good as our ground attack was, the sorry passing game held us back.... Accept it, and we can all move on..
  18. Not with the lamest passing attack in the league we won't... It's t like you said... If we want to be good, we are going to have to "put up more".
  19. Exactly.. "The good teams put up more".. You said it pal, I didn't.. The run wasn't enough against stiffer comp... We needed a stronger passing attack to be competitive in those situations. This year, the D is a question mark, and I can't find six CUPCAKES anywhere on the schedule... TT, or somebody, is gonna have to throw... -Or else....
  20. Against WHO??? We beat ONE team with a winning record, and that was the Pats in chaos WITHOUT Brady! Yah, we showed out on 1-15 CLE... Schooled the 4-12 Rams.. Punished 3-13 Jacksonville... 2-14 Niners never left the team bus... They all lost because THEY SUCKED, NOT because Tyrod saved the day! Literally ANY TEAM who could fight back beat our ^ss! All's I'm saying is that there's a strong possibility we do better if we could pass..... You and Scott are free to celebrate the stats the RUN put up against TURRBLE teams... I choose to look down the road at what promises to be a much more challenging season.... We should try not to be dead last in passing attempts again... Might not work out the same way.
  21. Dude... Your flamingo-patterned shirt is tied into a midriff, and your tangerine speedos are the dictionary definition of TMI!... Plus, I specifically asked for a Daquiri, and you brought me blended Margarita... What are my options here?
  22. Running the ball constantly because it's what you do well, won't equal wins either... The disparity between a #1 rushing attempt stat and a #32 passing attempt stat should be obvious... Couple that with the fact that this passer had the longest snap-to release time of any other starting QB, and you realize TT wasn't just passing less, he was wasting more of his time (and ours) doing it! How could a "design" so grossly out of balance help out a struggling defense in any way?
  23. More attempts from a more confident passer might have meant even more TD's... Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?... If we were 14th or 15th in attempts we could have very well won more games... TT pulled the ball down and hauled-azz on many occasions where he could have thrown downfield.... Are we still denying this after last season? Every time someone speaks the truth they get attacked by TT cabana-boys defending their master... What could anyone possibly have against this stat being improved?... smh...
  24. Right now McCoy has a huge bullseye painted on his jersey... Opposing defenses will eventually develop ways to limit his impact... Other playmakers need the ball sent their way in order to make plays... it'll take major adjustment if TT wants to be that guy... FWIW, I hope Dennison provides an offense where TT has more help, and opportunities to pass downfield...
  25. That Seattle team was top 5 in yards per completion, and top 10 in completion percentage... Yes, they had a killer D, and was ahead of Buffalo in rushing first down percentage....
