The NFL has really changed over the years..I grew up in Dallas in the 70's and early 80's and my Dad took me to see the Cowboys twice a year. I was a Huge Cowboys fan. That era of the Cowboys still holds a special place in my heart. We moved to Buffalo in 83 and My dad took me to my first Bills Game against the Raiders that season. I believe Marc Wilson was the Qb for the raiders and the Bills heavy underdogs almost pulled it out. I guess the point of it all is never say never about changing loyalty's to a football team. It can happen, I now despise the Cowboys of the present and folow the Bills as rabid as I did when I was a Cwboys fan. The more you watch and follow a team the more you begin to root and cheer for them. Would it hurt if the Bills left, of course it would, however, I would find another team to follow. They care no more for me than they care for where the playere cares where he plays. I have paid my price following the Bills over the years, Jim Kelly seats for 8 yrs, seasons for 9 before that. I will not pay anymore for this era product. Too commercialized, to distant, too much greed. I will watch it on tv and enjoy, but never again will I sell my sunday for a football game...

I never said that...But drafting only 2 offensive lineman in the first rd in the past 10 yrs is a definate way to not make the playoffs. Cornerbacks are not what you build your team around. If your interior lines are very good you win. Simple...

It might not set your franchise back five yrs, however i can name one franchise that loves to draft first rd corners and has never won a Superbowl...

Now that is funny. Losman loves the ball so much that he refused to part with it. He would rather take a sack rather than have a incompletion. After all it helps boost his completion percentage....Something that probably Rob Johnson told him over the phone.....please....The guy does not have a chance to even lift his arm to throw the ball before the 350lb DT is on him.
He had plenty of time to throw another long bomb 2 yards out of bounds. He had plenty of time to throw 5 yards wide to Peerless on third and 10. The excuses are old. The bottom line for Losman is, if he had something to good to show we would have ssen it by now. He has done nothing positive that we can hang our hat on and say..there it is that is why we have been playing him and suffering for 2 yrs. He continues to make the same throwing errors, shows absolutely zero pocket presence or awareness and so far has demonstrated not any leadership on the field that I have seen. He just doesnt get it. I doubt he ever will. Regardless of the oline I do not foresee JP ever making it as QB of the Buffalo Bills. Time to move on....

He doesnt suck, However had he hung onto the football in the first quarter when brady threw the long bomb to terrance instead of his own man we wouldnt have been tied 7-7...He has to hang onto that football instead of trying to set up the safety for a perfect beach volleyball slam

Guys, if Willis gained that extra yard and the Bills scored on TD on that drive, it would have pretty much sealed the game. The Bills have always missed that killer instinct. Belichick always goes for it on 4th down, so does Parcells. I loved the call to go for it, but I would have done a QB sneak or A-Train up the middle.
No way No how do you ever ever ever go for it when you are up by ten just took the ball 6 minutes to open the second half drive the ball down there throat and not come away with three points. If you make it you still have to score. If you dont you give the team you have dominated pretty much a whole half and a half a quarter all kinds of momentum and you give your young offense doubts about there confidence. Why ? Its a retarded decision with no positive result. I can not remember at any time Marv levy not taking points in that kind of a decision process with pretty much a whole hall of fame offense...The great Forest Gump once said Stupid is as Stupid does...Lets hope Marv has long talk with Jauron...That being said I like the fact our 2 young safeties played alot. I would be fine with letting them learn the rest of the year on the field. Willis needs to stop dancing and run up the field, Atrain looked really good, O line looked a lot better, our rundefense still really sucks,Clements is still all talk no play, he stopped a nice touchdown for whitner and was burned by caldwell i believe a rook a few times. Overall we look more organized and well coached. This post sounds like an oxymoron with that comment however if he had made the right decision on 4th and 1 we could have finally talked about how a Bills coach outcoached Belichek. And he did except for that one call...The future looks a little better than before

That was perfectly summed up. I couldnt agree more. Tom and Company really screwed this team up and sold us a bad bill of goods. Tonight was the first time I saw progress with JP. I really cant stand stupid penalties, as you said the guard lining up to far back. What are ya thing Chris!!! Growing pains I can take as long as you can see the light at the end....Heres to finally seeing a little light....

I just dont understand why there is all this resentment towards the Bills for Making this move. Jp Has done absolutley nothing in 4 games to show he even has the ability to warrant being a backup!!! He misses wide open wr's from 5 yards down the field all the way to 55 yrds down the field. He is an embarrasment of a qb, we should be greatful that someone in the organization said enuff is enuff and benched him. Dont blame Moulds for his so called bad attitude, he isnt he the one missing wide right on a 8 yard out pattern by 5 yards, or throwing 15 yards over his head on 45 yard crossing pattern. Good Move..Now lets draft another qb next yr!!!!! What a freakin Joke

This is a slow torture..You just keep waiting for him to show something to impress you ....He does not look good throwing the football at all..Misses wide open wr's..

Getting back to the point, VA's basic argument that if JP busts we're in trouble and waste 3 years is pretty accurate. Imagine if TD had succeeded in his original plan on draft day-trading ahead of the Steelers & drafting Roethlisberger. There would be no what if arguments on today's board. I hope we aren't the Jets of the 90's who tried frantically to trade up & draft Favre, but settled for Browning Nagle.
Only time will tell if JP is the answer or not. It looks pretty definite that Carr & Harrington were major reaches at picks 1 & 3 because they were the only QBs (I don't include Ramsey) in a draft that may turn out to be one of the worst for QBs.
However, I stick by my statement that a QB at pick 22 is not as big a risk, salary cap wise as a 1 or 3 in the whole draft.
But, any 1st round QB who doesn't work out is a disaster for the team. Houston, Detroit, & Washington have been paying the price since 2002.
I hope JP hits it big, because if he doesn't were doomed, short term. I think he's more on the Todd Collins schedule where if he doesn't show improvement throughout this season, he's 1 year & done as a starter.
One of the main reasons we got Holcomb was insurance in case JP doesn't make it. I hope we never have to cash in on that "policy", but it is there if we need it.
Here are some excerpts from what I thought before the 2004 draft on JP, and I still feel the same, except for the Roethlisberger part when I thought Roethlisberger would be a top 4 pick with a huge contract, after that I talked about the Jets & Favre/Nagle, I hope that wasn't prophetic about the Roethlisberger/Losman road TD took. :
J.P. Losman is an intriguing prospect due to his arm and athleticism. Scouts vary on him whether he’s the next Brett Favre or the next Cade McNown. Since he will go in the late 1st or early second I’d be willing to take the risk that he’s the next Favre. His busting would be a lot less costly than a team that took Roethlisberger and found him to be a bust.
. At least one pick will be for the future because another QB has to be brought in. I just hope that the team doesn’t repeat a Jets mistake of 1991. The Jets loved Brett Favre & came within one pick of getting him in round 2, after desperate attempts to trade up (they had no #1 that year). When Favre was taken by Atlanta, the Jets still had the need for a QB of the future, they took the next QB on their board, Browning Nagle. If the Bills get into the same spot, say they like Losman and they miss him by a pick or 2, I hope they regroup and forget about a QB of the future and just concentrate on other positions.
Well if we are going to just talk about teams wasting picks on qbs then we need to go no further than our own home team...
1: 2nd rd pick in 95 Todd Collins
2: Trade a First and a fourth rd pick for Rob Johnson
3: Trade a First for Drew Bledsoe
4: Trade another first FOr JP Losman
In other words 10 yrs later we have spent 3 first rd picks 1 2nd rd pick and 1 fourth rd pick and alls we have to show for it is a very young and very raw qb with a whole lot of potential..It seems to me we would be a whole lot better off looking for a Rich Gannon type or a Trent Dilfer type of qb rather than wasting some valuable picks on some if come maybe...Just my opinion

How can anyone be offended over a Spongebob remark regardless of the timing..He tried to make light of a situation..I founf it quite humorous and had i been on the roof of a house in N.O. I wouldve probably laughed then also..Yes so lets worry now about how many int's JP is gonna throw..Yeh right...

I find it amusing that the majority of people think we had to move Travis..Lets not forget he is quality Nfl proven runningback..Is he perfect? absolutley not..But he has rushed for over 1300 yards 2 times..Been chosen to a Probowl and still in his prime..On top of that he is very affordable..So why do we have to trade him? He never produced any controversy during the season..He worked hard..I would venture to say that all the whining from his camp has just been posturing so he could get traded and sign a more lucrative contract..I think Tom Donahue has played this just like he should. There are no guarantees Willis doesnt get hurt and I cant think of a better more affordable option than Travis..Just my 3 cents worth

I agree..It looks as though Willis is stuttering thru the hole and moving slow..THen Bam there he is slamming for 3-5 yards like clockwork..He really fools you going thru the hole..I dont think he will be on the bench much longer with runs like he had today...Another nice thing to see is Lee Evans involment in the offense more this week..He put a nice lick on Seau after a Moulds catch in the game today..

I was at the game and I can tell you there is not a chance in hell he makes that fieldgoal. All kicks pregame and at the half from that side of the field were falling short from 40 yards out > End of story..The problem with the game was as follows...
1: Our pathetic run defense
2:Takeo Spikes getting run over by Henry 5 times
3: Robert Royal not getting his feet in bounds in the endzone
4:Not getting the play call in quicker on the Bills final possesion on 4th down.
5: Vince Young..My God is he a freakin good qb or what...
