  1. Way to pull sh-- completely out of your ass. Losman beat out Holcomb and Nall 2 years ago in a competition. But keep making sh-- up if it helps you sleep at night.

That was no competition that was survival of the worst..LOL..Nall got hurt and was no competition and Holcombe was a joke..Lets be a little realistic..If they wanted competition they wouldve gone out and picked up Kitna and rolled the bones

  2. I'm all for competition in training camp and pre-season, because trent did little for me to instill a great confidence in him. But, whoever starts the season needs to start the entire season (barring injury). The QB cant keep looking over his shoulder during the season.

However, if i was a betting man, i'd say the safe money is on another season of musical QBs. Jauron needs to win and win now to save his job, so i dont think he'll hesitate to yank them in and out of the lineup to "provide a spark."

Its really too bad Bledsoe blew up so bad..Its really that deal that has put us in a quandry..If he wouldve panned out we wouldve had our qb catastrophe's averted....

  3. Maybe Royal should go to the CFL so he'd be more of a Redzone target. I know it's tough getting your feet inbounds within 10 yards. Royal has singlehandedly cost us 3 games, and would have been 4 if Reed didn't catch that ball in Washington. He has talent, but his mouth is running so much, he can't even hear himself think.

    Classic

  4. The Bills could send all 17 starters except the 4 starting DBs to the pro-bowl, and bill would still B word that drafting a 1st round DB is going to destroy the franchise.

I happen to agree with him.I hate drafting DB's in the first rd..That hatred started with derrick burroughs then JD Williams to Jeff Burriss..The only ones that earned it were Winfield and The So Called shutdown corner..And they left for big money..I wouldnt go as far as destroying the franchise but keeping them in a endless circle of not winning a Super Bowl category maybe..

  5. I used to think that but now I think that the competition just makes the QB's paranoid and unable to concentrate on being a leader. How many times since Kelly have we had guys fighting for the QB spot and yet it hasn't done squat for any of them.

A real qb is not gonna let competition stop him..It weeds out the wannabes...

  6. Lee Evans and Marshawn Lynch are the best talent that the Bills have at their positions. Interestingly when looking at the production by Lee and Marshawn for last season in games played by JP or Trent, there is a noteworthy difference in their performances.

Lee avaraged 65 yards per game receiving when JP was QB (455 yards in 7 games - including Jets game while JP was in there)and 40 yards per game (394 yards in 10 games - including Jets game while Trent was in there).

Marshawn ran for a 4.3 yards per carry (88 carries for 380 yards) with JP at QB and 3.8 yards per carry (192 carries for 735 yards) with Trent at QB.

Could it be that opposing defenses respect the pass more with JP in there giving Marshawn a bit more running room? I doubt that anyone on the board would dispute that JP finds Lee more more big plays more often than does Trent. Wouldn't you want the guy in there that can best utilize the best offensive players this team has? Looks like a no-brainer to me.

    Here we go again.... :beer::lol::lol:

  7. I would rather see a big Tight End solve our redzone problems..Not sure there are any worth a number 11 pick but I like Fred Davis alot..He seems to have a knack for getting open and is a decent blocker..I would like to see atrade for an established wr and draft defense end Harvey in the first...Then getting Davis with our 2nds if he is there..It might be a stretch to get Davis in the 2nd but crazier things have happened..

  8. I am one of the few who does not bash Wilson, but I think he made a mistake when the league realigned the divisions years ago. The North would have been Bills, Steelers, Browns, and either Bengals or Ravens.

I agree, the rivalry when we play them once every 4 yrs is big can you imagine if it was 2 times a yr with browns and steelers

  9. It's a division game, which will now have a more neutral crowd, and in different elements. Many fans make trips up to Buffalo just for the Miami game.

We can talk about how the rivalry has cooled and all of that, but at the end of the day, we are being told by this move that nothing matters other than money...Nothing.

I said this in another post and I hate repeating myself however remember when they realigned the divisions and they asked Ralph about joining the Browns Steelers and Titans and his exact words were I am not leaving the rivalries we have made they mean to much to the fans and we dont want to take those away from them...Well I would venture to say that taking arguably youre most heated rivalry in your existence would be considered a bold move to say the least......That said could you imagine the uproar if it was the PAts..LOL

  10. I don't think people are overreacting.

There is a sizeable contingent of Bills fans who say, if we have to suck, lets be 2-14, with both wins over Miami and get a good draft pick. Then its a successful season.

Not sure how much time you spent living in WNY, but the Miami game is THE rivalry. The game that people get up for more than any other. Squish the fish, Bryan "Sucks" Cox, 0-for the 70s, Kelly vs. Marino showdowns, Miami is the game.

COld weather? Our guys have to learn how to play in it and it has always been a decided advantage for the Bills. In fact, one of the most entertaining games I ever attended was the Snow Bowl back in 2003, Bills vs. Dolphins. Neither of us were world beaters, but it was a helluva game, enhanced by the rivalry.

Point is, they could have given TOR any game but this one, this one has special meaning for many Bills fans.

Also (and I'm not joking here), how will Miami get all their players in the country? They have multiple players with misdeameanor/felony convictions and DWIs. What will Miami have to do...leave half its roster at home?

The NFL has no idea what they are in for at the Border..LOL

  11. To be accurate it sold out only after ch.4 bought the last couple thousand tickets. But c'mon! Us old timers remember when Miami was THE game, especiallyif it was in the cold. We WANTED to play Miami in December!! The fact that game had trouble selling is proof to me the rivalry is dead.

    PTR

It was the game..Which is why I am shocked that Ralph would let that game go..Remember when they wanted to realign the divisions and he said no way he didnt want to lose the rivalry with the Fins..It meant too much for the fans were his exact words..I find it ironic to say the least...

  12. Agreed . . imagine what Barry Sanders would have done with a good offensive line . . . Not to take naything away from Emmitt . . .he deserved his rings and HOF career, but a lot of his success was due to the line he played behind.

Ask Cornholio Bennett if emmitt is HOF..Of course he would be answering from his backside that Emmit put him on during the SuperBowl..LOL

  13. Yes...Miami is such a HUGE rivalry they couldn't sell that game out. Get a grip, man.

    PTR

Come on its a div opponent...Its only a game i understand the grip but if we are discussing the schedule that is a surprise...Would you rather open up at home against Miami or Seattle..Would you care about Seattle in Toronto??

I like the Browns mon game..Those tix will be insane

  14. I'd like to use the the 3rd and one in the Dallas Monday Nighter game as an example. We then went go for it on 4th down and promptly got stuffed. If Harvey is gone and Albert is there, then I'm all in.

An elite o line is something we havent had since the electric company..I agree if Harvey is there grab him if he isnt take the lineman..All great teams have had great olines....

  15. Wide receiver is probably one of the Bills biggest needs. That being said I don't think they should reach for one in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round. If there is one sitting at there draft spot that has value for that slot, then take him. If there isn't don't press the matter. After the draft there is always the 2nd line of free agency or trade. I don't think there is a WR worth taking with the 11th pick. If Kelly, Thomas, Sweed, Jackson or Manningham are gone in round 2 I would'nt take anyone else either. Hardy is a punk and I wouldn't draft him round 7.

I would not be surprised to see us make a trade for a really good vet wr..They cant go in to the year with the Wr corp they have and a wr rookie rarely steps in and plays really well...I woulodnt be surprised to see Kelsay or denney get the move...

  16. Now that's just insane. Why would we need another guy for the OL. It's probably the best spot on our team. We are already an elite OL.

Elite?? What happened to our offense against the Giants when Peters went down?? I think we are 1 very good starter and 1 very good backup away from being an elite oline.. Maybe whittle can be the backup but he has to stay healthy all year..
