Yeah I think it was at least 101 lol

Don't get me wrong I do occasionally go over the speed limit but I've never gone that fast and I've never gotten one speeding ticket in my life

In fact I have one parking ticket ever lol

    Knock on wood

I do sometimes go over 100 mph, frequently go over 90, and if the traffic allows, always go above 80. But, then again, this is on freeways where I live in Orange County CA where, if the traffic allows, speed limits are more of a suggestion. After all, other times you can only go 5 or 10 mph due to the traffic, so it kind of averages out. In 2010 I got a ticket going 85 between San Diego and Orange County, my only ticket on a freeway since I moved to CA in 1993.

  2. I was at the game. Was drinking throughout the game, back then we could bring beer into the stadium, I think 1 quart was allowed and they never questioned my gallon jug I was bringing in. Needed to go to the bathroom, so when is better than when lining up for a kick. Well, bottom line I was somewhere between walking towards or already being in the concourse for the 77 seconds. Somewhat saw part of it from the stairs or tunnel to the concourse, but missed much of it.

  3. Several have already alluded to this, but I think you need to start with who is considered a franchise quarterback. To me, I think that the team has defined someone as their franchise QB by signing him to a non-rookie contract of at least three years. Not sure that three is the correct number of years, but I think it's close. Two years isn't really a commitment to saying that they are your franchise QB. Maybe you could say three also is too short but it sounds correct to me. If a team signs a QB for three years, they likely enough guaranteed money that it's very painful to move on from him. Or, perhaps instead of number of years, it's a dollar amount or percent of the cap at signing? Once there's a definition of who can be considered, then it's an easier conversation as to who belongs in the "worst 5" category.

Camp is kinda fun.  I went last year for the first time since the Fredonia days and I came to the conclusion that at least for me, the idea of going to a training camp practice is much better than the actual experience.

    But to each his own.

I kind of agree. I've gone many (possibly most) years since they moved camp to SJF. Of course up until the last few years, there were more sessions, the Bills were less popular because they weren't good, and it was easy to get tickets. I loved going. The last couple of times I was a bit bored.

But, my father is about to turn 101. He and I have enjoyed going together so many times. He's slowing down to where this year, if offered, he may actually accept a ride from the bus to the seating area - we went two years ago and he refused. I'm coming into town from CA for the weekend of 8/1 and I am hoping I can get tickets for the Sunday 8/3 practice. My dad has slowed down considerably over the last year so it's getting to where this could be the last time we go together. As a STH, I think I have a pretty good chance but who knows. Last year I also had only one day that would work for me and it wasn't available by the time my turn came up.

OP, just do a google search for Bills 2025 schedule.  It took me less than 3 seconds.  I can’t expect the OP’s to do it when you can simply look it up.  I’m making plans for which game my sons and I will fly up for a game.  We prefer a 1pm game on Sunday so we can get out early enough on Monday morning to only miss a Friday and Monday.

The schedule came out around May 15th, 2025.  I hope that helps bud.  BTW- thanks for joining the board as newbies are always welcome as long as they are truly Bills fans, and not questioning you at all.

    Enjoy you’re weekend.

I'm going to add what I'm sure will be an unpopular response.

And, before I get to the meat of it, I'll say, Simon, if I'm given edit rights and instructions on how to do so, I'd gladly update it on the site.

Anyway, the day the schedule came out, I downloaded it to my work Outlook calendar and to my personal Google calendar. I certainly know I can see it in may different places including the Bills website. That being said, most places it's not quite as neat (i.e. just a simple listing of only the Bills games where I can see all the games without clicking week to week) as on this site. And, also Two Bills Drive is my Chrome homepage, so it's ALWAYs open.

Please don't consider this as me complaining as I try to not whine when people are providing a free service to me. However, every year I wish the schedule would update on Two Bills Drive earlier than it is. And, I'd be happy to do something to help. I don't know how to update websites but if it needed to be in a specific format to be uploaded and that would mean typing it out manually, I'd be happy to do that and send it on.

How about a blast from the distant past?  Roosevelt Leaks

He played four seasons for the Bills, 80-83. I really liked him, he was money on short yardage situations. Whenever the Bills were in 3rd or 4th and 1, I'd say, "It's 4th (or 3rd) and Leaks." He had a total of 313 rushing attempts for the Bills and averaged 3.6 yds/carry. I was looking for how many first downs, but couldn't find that on the websites I checked. My memory from that long ago was if he had 313 attempts, he must have had 310 1st downs (yes, I know that's very unlikely)!

I think he'll unretire once he can pass a physical. 34 is pretty young in QB years.

The Saints would still own his rights however unless they agree to let him find employment elsewhere.

  8. I grew up in Irondequoit, for those that don't know it's a suburb North of Rochester. My father still lives part of the year at the house he bought in 1954 (he turns 101 this August). Since they moved TC to SJF, I've enjoyed going to camp every year I can make it and my father likes going with me. No chance I'd talk him into going to Buffalo to go to TC, but assuming I can get tickets and make it back to Rochester during camp, I'm really hoping to take him again this year. Even being a STH, I couldn't get tickets on the only day I could make it last year. That's to me the one thing that stinks about the changes the last few years, the difficulty in getting tickets.

Having TC in a Rochester suburb is a great thing for those fans in Rochester. I can understand those living in Buffalo likely don't enjoy the drive, but for me, I hope they keep going to SJF.

I heard Joe Marino  speak on him as well.

But it is interesting that Marino said this year that he has turned his attention almost exclusively to the pro game, the NFL, and so watched very little college football this year.

And so when he did his draft analysis shows he seemed to just be reading others' words about college players, one after another after...  Very boring, cliche stuff, repeatedly.

I just stopped listening, as I was doing that myself.

So don't take too much credence in what he says.  He is very definitive in his one man show, with no one there to push back at all on him.  And because it is every single day, I think, so much is just filler anyway.

Only part of this post is correct. He does spend all his time on Bills work now. However, that includes studying college players that the Bills bring in for 30 visits or private workouts. He also looks at several (I don't remember the number but I think closer to 100) players that he expects to be in the top rounds of the draft whereas in the past he'd study more like 250 players.

As such, he did study film on Walker and others prior to the draft and reported on his findings (he hated Walker as others have stated). After the draft, he studies film on those he hadn't originally studied.

Agree or disagree with Marino, he does study the players and his opinions are based on work he's put in, not just regurgitating other's analysis.

When someone gets defensive like Beane did, it means there is a shred of truth in what he is hearing and he is pushing back. People do this all the time when confronted with things in life. When you get defensive there is a reason

I haven't heard the interview yet, likely will listen tonight. But, while what you say is often true, I wouldn't make the statement as an absolute like you did. And, was he defensive or did he just lash out at the question? I'm sure in many ways it's the same thing, but not always. I was at dinner with a coworker last Thursday. He asked me a question that I felt I answered twice already and I was pretty sure he was trying to get me going. I lashed out big time on him at dinner. I didn't believe there was a "shred of truth" in what he was implying, but I was really sick and tired of him asking the same question in what seemed to me an accusing way again and again. My (over) reaction was intended to get him to shut the f up about the subject and move on. I suspect Beane is sick of answering the question plus, as he has said before, the Bills aren't playing any games in April. If in September we have the same WR corps and it's not good enough and we lose games because of it, then it's time to complain.

    Way overpriced. $340 square foot?

    I don't think it's actually for sale.

Overpriced? In my neighborhood a house that size that backs to a busy street and needs significant updating is easily twice that. But that's So Cal. I don't see how 1st time buyers could ever do it.

I am going to ask a very serious question…what the :censored:??!! This is the dumbest thing, most nonsensical thing I’ve heard all day and I took my toddler to the Museum of Play in Rochester today.

What's wrong with the Museum of Play? It's quite good for little kids. My son took his first steps there (almost 23 years ago).

Not really but for RBs at age 27, 28 there begins a drop off.

This deal won’t be more than 3 years.

I think I’d give him the 15 million per.

Cook has much less wear on his body than typical 26 year old backs. He wasn't high volume in college or as a rookie. The last 2 years were much higher but still not bell cow level.

No they have translucent roofs and open sides that in Vegas are retractable . But their Stadiums are protected from the elements that make January games in Buffalo uncomfortable and not as enjoyable to watch if it snows. Tell me watching a game at SOFI or Vegas isn’t a great watch.

Never been to Vegas' new stadium but have been to 3 games at SOFI (and a Rolling Stones concert). It's a very sterile environment.

  15. Lol. I just read an article on TWSN titled "New York Jets Signing Stephon Diggs." From the headline it sounded like fact and I came here because normally someone posts on TSW before I see it elsewhere. Not seeing it mentioned, I went back and actually read the article. It was total conjecture and was just saying it would be a great move.

He's obviously a little bit nutty but he never should've left. He's was supposed to age into the number 2 role

    Him and Allen were incredible

The greatest era of Bills football was full of diggs type players and huge egos. Like way more intense than the diggs drama ...

Guys like Talley, Bennett and Thomas were extremely outspoken and rough around the edges

Kelly literally made fun of buffalo before he came here and did crazy stuff. Thurman and Kelly didn't even get along early on.

Being outspoken isn't the same as being a cancer, none of the players you mentioned were ever a cancer.

  17. No way! The Bills are a better team without him just like the Vikings were. And just like every team (except the Bills) that Terrell Owens was on were better off without him. Cancers are cancerous regardless of their talent.

  18. Just on here to make note that if any team actually thought it started at noon EST, they will be off by an hour. Yesterday, daylight savings time started and we pushed the clocks ahead an hour. The so-called legal tampering period started at noon EDT which would actually be 11 AM EST. So, any GM too stupid to know the difference is behind by an hour!

But, more to the point, Former, as others have pointed out, it starts at noon EDT, not noon local time. And, 9 AM PDT is not so early that GMs are unwilling to be talking to agents at that time of the day.

If he plays for what his dead cap would be it's a wash

That's basically what Joe Marino has been saying for the past week. He must take a pay cut at least equivalent to the $8.3 million (I may not have remembered exactly correct, but I'm sure I'm close) cap relief we'd get by cutting him. Marino says even then he's fine either way, would kind of prefer to just cut him and get younger.

I know it’s not going to happen and I don’t even think it wouod be smart. I’m just saying, after cooler heads prevailed if for some reason they wanted it…I’d forgive. I probably didn’t word that right

It's irrelevant that you'd forgive him. Unless you're not a Bills fan,why would you want to weaken the Bills? Getting rid of Diggs was a great example of addiction by subtraction. Talented cancers are still cancerous and ultimately make the team worse.

And one of the best all around running backs in the league.

Except the problem is he's not an all around back at all. All around backs rush, catch, and block. Thurman Thomas frequently was called the best all around back over Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith because he was a much better blocker (and a better receiver). Cook CAN'T block.
