  1. The Pats didn't even know they had a Franchise QB in Brady. They liked what they saw and felt he's be a good back-up to Bledsoe.
  2. I can't believe he may be there for our pick, it would be a real steal. Reading everything I can on the net about his knee, I don't think it's as bad as rumors have it.
  3. Assuming that we pick an OT with the 3rd pick, and assuming these are still on the board, which would you pick?
  4. Big Assumption is that many of these QB's are still on the board with the BILLS 2nd pick, and many are projected to go much later.
  5. Gabbert Sucks. He wouldn't even be a 1st round pick if Luck hadn't stayed for his last year. Gabbert wasn't even projected to go in the 4th rd in January. Wake up, watch tape, and don't believe all the hype.
  6. It's Hogwash and wishful thinking. If the Pats didn't trade up last year for Suh, and they had plenty to trade, they why go for Dareus this year? It makes no sense if you go under the assumption that Dareus is only 70% of what Suh offers according to experts.
  7. Gabbert is a Joke. Let some other team bust out with him as a terible high round pick. He's awful.
  8. A couple of links to Jurell Casey (Sophomore season from the looks of it). He does have explosiveness and a motor too. I like what I see, a good 4th/5th pick up - looks like he'll be very productive. Versus A.Luck
  9. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Good Draft, Bad Draft - the players we select in the first few rounds (Hopefully on Defense) will, MUST play a great deal in the 2011 season. BUT - even if they have stellar Pro-Bowl types of seasons, the BEST we do is move from the bottom of the defensive pack to middle. That doesn't equal play-offs. It just means Teams will actually have to game plan for us and actually take Buffalo a little serious instead of looking at it as a "Scrub Game". 31 Teams currently look at a game against Buffalo as a check in the "WIN" column. You really think a great draft this year will turn that around in a single season? Seriously? With the season schedule we have, I don't expect to win many games this year - plain and simple. Would it be nice to get Luck next year? Of course, but don't hold your breath. I can't imagine a Coach telling his team to lose so they can draft one player the following season. Ridiculous. Imagine how Fitz would feel, and subsequently play with the message "Hey, we want this rookie cause you're just so so, He's the future, you're not - so tank it Baby" which really would mean ending or limiting his career since a Sucky QB isn't going to be picked up by other teams too often. If I was Ftitz, that would sound like a pretty stupid idea. I'd be playing to further my career and cash in - performance = Dollars Homeboy - and the man can add - remember? Sides, the stadium is getting empty enough on game day, intentional losing equals major revenue problems - which mean problems for the future of the franchise remaining in Buffalo. WE BE SMALL MARKET - understand what that means and lose the BIG MARKET Team mentality. With todays NFL strucure, the glory days of the 90's are from a different era. Hold on to them, it's going to be a long time before we return there. We will improve with a good draft, wise dipping in the FA market, and a QB that has more protection and weapons that aren't injured. We just won't be night and day from last year. If we want Luck that badly, we trade up and sell future draft picks to get him - is he worth it? We'll see.
  10. When I first became aware of Camp Fitz vis Twitter from all the Bills Players I follow, I was excited and happy by the efforts. Leadership, Unity, and Shared passion came to mind. But then I saw that almost all teams have a group of players doing this right now which leads me to believe that the Players Union is behind it in some way. I don't really care what the initial reasons for organizing the workouts were - It's a good thing. Fitz Impressed me last year. The Guy is smart and Gritty, He's going to improve. He looks as good or better than we've had in the last 10 years, so give him a chance and all the tools for success - (Offensive protection, Weapons, and Plays that maximize the strengths of the players). I think we'll all be happy a few years from now.
  11. See the Link; Best/Worst games of 2011 #2 (Worst Games to Watch) Broncos at Buffalo Bills, Dec. 24 – At the end of last season, Tim Tebow(notes) showed some potential, which is nice to see. However, I’m still not buying the hype and I think this is going to be another year of struggle for the Broncos, especially if they cling to the idea that Kyle Orton(notes) is anything close to being the answer. Assuming they make the logical move to Tebow, this season is going to be a huge challenge. While the Bills are far from the toughest test, playing in Buffalo could be a huge problem for his skittish arm. The wind off Lake Erie plays havoc with passers at Ralph Wilson Stadium at this time of year.
  12. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......huh, what's that? No progress yet? OK.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  13. I'm all for - completely support the concept of depth behind starters. While we always seem to be bitten by the injury bug often and early every season, our 2nd string usually steps up. We just don't have Stars on our first string - very common opinion across the NFL. If we can't draft/Sign stars to our 1st string - what makes you think we can actually develop a 2nd and 3rd string to the extent that NE does? Even the JETS do better - after all, it was their 2nd/3rd string that beat the crap out of us and the end of last season. I'm tired of being in a rebuilding mode. We've been there for 10 years. I want progress, I want a good draft, I want players I can believe in and cheer, and I want to hold my head high again as a Bills Fan. I'm tired of other fans feeling sorry for me yet bewildered at my tenacious and persistent support of Buffalo. I read that nobody even wanted to interview for the Head Coaching job last January, 2 people actually turned down the interview. Chan seems to be doing fine, and as usual I'm willing to give him my support and see how he does. Can He and Nix be savvy and take us to the next level? Only time will tell. In the meanwhile, Fitz and crew played some exciting games last year - Buffalo still has heart. My Bills Tattoo is fading, it's old like me. I have vowed not to get it re-inked until the Bills can show me that they know how to win again - I'm superstitious that way.
  14. NE 2nd and 3rd string > than our 1st String. Wishful thinking Brah.
  15. Can anybody say "SMOKE SCREEN"? Only believe 10% of anything you read or hear 3 weeks before draft time. Seriously. Which 10% to believe is up to you, but it's all posturing and smoke right now. Buddy absolutely does not want anyone to know exactly what the war room is thinking - showing your hand before the betting can begin is bad.
  16. I'm not pessimistic, just being real. 5-11 overall. @KC- Loss Oak- Win Pats- Loss @Cinci-Win Philly-Loss @NYG-Loss Wash-Win NYJ-Loss @Dallas-Loss @Miami-Loss @NYJ -Loss Tenn-Win @SD-Loss Miami-Loss Denver-Win @NE-Loss
  17. In terms of us sucking no matter who we draft; there is some truth to that - meaning if we draft wisely (that would be a first IMO), we pick up the most talented Defensive players and some help on Offense to fill those holes. Most of the high draft picks will likely play, some more than others. They will contribute. BUT, even if they play like seasoned Pro-Bowlers, our defense goes from last to somewhere in the middle of the pack (Best case scenario). No reason to believe that the improvement won't continue in the same direction in 2012. So...what's my point? We will still suck, just less. We'll win a few more games, maybe finishing with 6-8 wins. We have the 2nd toughest schedule of all teams in 2011. That win-loss record puts us in the middle of the draft next year. Even if we draft a QB in the first rd this year and play him all season, no matter which QB you're thinking about, the probability that he pulls a Matty Ice in year 1 and puts us in the playoffs is about the same as winning the lottery. So, although I hope for better, reality says we go from "Suck" to "Mediocrity" in 2011. Fitz will give us some exciting games, right to the finish - so it'll be a fun season. Who knows? Maybe we'll even see some sacks and run stuffing along the way (against the other team, not ours for a change).
  18. "Very Undersized"? Where do you get that from? 238, now 250. That isn't undersized for an OLB.
  19. Is it Racist? I don't know....Even the Olsen Twins have had their share.... Olsen Twins - Is it Racist? National Spelling Bee - Is It Racist? Alabama - Is It Racist? Counting Money - Is It Racist?
  20. Initially, from the press reports after the waiver signing occurred, there was a great deal of speculation/controversy that Lights Out did not want to be a BILL and wouldn't play in Buffalo. The public got the impression that he felt he was too good for the likes of the Bills. The injury 10 mins into his first practice only fueled the speculation further. Merriman has a high opinion of himself, irrelevant of the production or lack thereof in the last 3-4 years. In following him on Twitter, I get the feeling that this opinion has softened over time, and he might realize that this is likely the last chance he'll have at reviving his career. I think he is finally accepting what the perceptions of him, his performance, and his Injury history really are from around the League. If he fails in Buffalo, who will want him after that? The opportunities to make plays and show the NFL that you aren't finished are limitless in Buffalo, and it's just the place where he could establish himself to dominance again. Given the level of talent around him - he could truly shine and become a star once again. With that said, I believe he is going to make every effort to play and condition himself to be physically ready and to minimize the potential of further injuries.
  21. True, but his website is nice. I don't foresee him finishing the season personally.
  22. Shawne Merriman Twitted information to his new website in order to advertise "Lights Out" T-shirts. Apparently, He feels like he'll be able to bring the pain this season and return to some form of Lights Out. I remain Dubious to say the least. Maybe he'll go TWO practices before a season injury.
