    I'm sure the coaches did exactly that, but even if he came at 301 lbs and <10% bodyfat, there's a reason we sitgned him as a free agent.

    I think he would need to gain that weight. If we suffer a rash of injuries again this year, I think he would wear down too easily.

    He played DT, but how well? That 11 lbs can make a difference if injuries force him to be an every-down player. Call me a dinosaur, fine, but I want some beef in the middle. BTW, Carrington is projected to be a backup at best. How about Marcell Dareus? When is the last time he saw south of 300?

    I hate to say this, but barring injury, how much of a chance does he really have at DT? Even if we go with a 5th DT/DE (either Johnson or Carrington), that leaves Troup (who gets more of a chance since he was a 2nd-round pick), as well as Heard, who is much larger.

    I know I'll get flamed for this, but I think Derek Hagan is going to start until Marcus Easley is ready. If he can stay healthy, he's the #2.
