  1. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...80-6e50c7f8759a Head coach Chan Gailey eased off the gas pedal in the training camp setting Wednesday with the team’s preseason opener fast approaching. The Bills sideline boss put his players through a walk through in the morning followed by a shortened practice in the evening in just shells and helmets as he tries to keep his players' bodies fresh for Friday night. With almost two full weeks of camp in the books the team is ready for a change of pace. “I think everybody in camp around this time we’re right in the middle of the grind so I think guys are feeling it a little bit,” said Aaron Maybin. “They’re going to be excited and anxious about getting out there and hitting somebody with some other colored jerseys.” Moorman earning applause There have been a few instances where the Bills fans in attendance have voiced their approval or applauded certain plays during the camp practices thus far, but punter Brian Moorman was wholeheartedly appreciated by those on hand Wednesday night. During the team’s punt team drill, Moorman hit some moon shots with huge hang time that drew gasps from the crowd. Late in the segment a 70-yard effort sent the quarterbacks running for cover as his punt over shot where Leodis McKelvin was lined up to receive it at the 15-yard line. The quarterbacks were conducting a fade pass drill and facing in the other direction before McKelvin warned them in time to scatter. QB Update Throughout camp Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm have been splitting reps evenly with the second unit, but on Wednesday night Fitzpatrick was the only other quarterback to get reps besides Edwards, giving a strong indication that Fitzpatrick will be the second signal caller into the game Friday night when Edwards’ night is over. Highlights During a shortened red zone period Trent Edwards looked sharp hitting Steve Johnson on a slant followed by a pair of completions to Lee Evans, one of which went for a touchdown on a crossing route. Edwards closed his series with a touchdown pass over the middle to Steve Johnson. In 11-on-11 Roscoe Parrish made a twisting grab over the middle on a throw from Edwards for first down yardage and more. Joique Bell squeezed through a closing hole in time to get to the second level and eventually the secondary on a run play a short time later. In a shortened two minute drill segment Edwards had completions to Evans, David Nelson and Roscoe Parrish in succession. And Ryan Fitzpatrick fired a bullet over the middle, which split two defenders, delivering a touchdown pass to Naaman Roosevelt in the second two minute series. Defensively, Aaron Maybin had a batted pass. Ashton Youboty broke up a pass that was intended for Roosevelt.
  2. Under-utilized players doesn't mean they're talentless, it just means they're under-utilized. Judging anything on what DJ decided and his conservation approach isn't exactly a fair opinion. We have seen flashes of brilliance throughout our line-up, it's time to put it together.
  3. Yeah, we have some cool plays a coming, I can't wait to see them all!!
  4. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...747&id=5098 Yeah, MRI said he is done. I understand all your concerns how we need 5 RB's instead of improvement on the line, brilliant.
  5. It's the rookie pay scale that makes this problem come to light, $50 Million guaranteed for a guy that has never played a down in the NFL is a slap to all the best players making less. Revis is a great player and does deserve more money, I don't know about $120 Guaranteed but more than he is making. I'd give him $35 Million guaranteed this year and bumped up to $50 Million Guaranteed next year and $65 Million Guaranteed the next on a long term deal. This way it's broken out for the the club to pay a majority during this open cap year and a substantial amount less less during potentially capped years. You can still pay him $10 M a year for 12 years with pre-paid money like that, it seems alright.
  6. The Saints looked at Justin Fargas and Jamal Lewis this offseason, but decided that third-year undrafted player Lynell Hamilton was a better candidate for their No. 3 running back role. The team has to go back to the drawing board after Hamilton suffered a serious injury during the team's joint practice with the Saints. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the team fears Hamilton suffered a torn ACL, which would knock him out for the season. Saints coach Sean Payton didn't sound too positive about the injury, but said that the team would wait for test results. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...a-running-back/

  9. WG, people are hurt here but I called out the let's kill the team type attitude here. We haven't even played a game for goodness sake, saying we are just terrible seems premature. Glad to have you aboard and don't ever cross me, LOL.

  11. The defense was ruling the day last week and the offense looked much better last night, I would take it all in stride and enjoy hearing that we have some offensive success. Lord knows it's been sorely lacking for years.
  12. When the national media takes notice of how things are getting better, we need to start paying attention. This madness of us being totally out of everything has to stop and let things progress as they may. Bills QB Trent Edwards enjoyed perhaps his best practice of training camp so far on Monday night. Edwards was able to connect with his receivers despite "a wet ball," as Bills coach Chan Gailey characterized the inclement weather. Bills LB Paul Posluszny, coming off groin surgery, has resumed practicing in individual drills. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...-one-liners-14/
  13. During Peyton Manning's first 4 years, he as 32-29 as a starter. It usually takes a certain amount of time before QB's get their stuff straight, so saying he'll always look the same is really silly.
  14. Trent Edwards looks more comfortable in his role as the starting quarterback, and his teammates are noticing. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/08/10/trent-more-vocal/
