  1. Weo, you are a liar, and a very unpleasant person. I will be sure not to deal with you in the future. The mods deleted the thread. I will not repost it.

I think it is obvious that I did not say he is stronger, faster, and smarter than all his teammates and coaches. Please do not message me again.

What is obvious to me is that Hossage should SHUT UP. Sounds to me like you're a loud mouth. You continuously make vulgar, and unintelligent and unpleasant remarks which are not funny to most adults, and everytime someon calls you out on anything, it ends up with you quitting your argument and promising to 'banish' other users.

Yeah, so you got some insider info on Aaron Schobel (sp?). So what. I hope he B word slaps you right off his ex-wife's porch then takes and NFL linbacker size crap in her flowerbed. - You can quote me on that.

  2. hummm he said something like you gotta fire that ball out there, not float it. I guess that eliminates a couple QB's right off the bat

Chan Gailey on his three quarterbacks: "[Ryan] Fitz[patrick] may run a little better than the other two, but the other two aren't stumble bums."

I can't get to the BuffaloBills.com for the original post, but by the PFT one-liner, it sounds like CG likes Fitzpatricks legs.

  3. 2010 Predictions Thread

Not sure if anyone has already done this, but for posterity and potential bragging rights, I’d like to know y’all’s predictions for 2010. Any prediction will do, but I will limit myself to the Bills regular season W/L record, and AFCE division rankings.

Just your predictions please - and a justification if you choose to. I would prefer to keep the debates and wild tangents to a minimum. That way, we will have a concise record to refer back to. Perhaps we can make predictions now, after training camp, and after the final preseason game. So, come back later if you’d like to make any re-assessments.

I predict a complete flip-flop in the AFCE this year. The Bills and Dolphins both go 11-5, but since we whip them twice, we win the division. I’m guessing one loss each to the Jets and New England, and losses to Green Bay, Baltimore, and Minnesota. Everyone else gets trampled. Crazy? Nah, I'm having a great year, my team will too!!!

    (1) Bills

    (2) Dolphins

    (3) Jets

    (4) Patriots

    GO BILLS!

  4. You know just for fun I was comparing video's (Yeah I know highlight videos) of CJ Spiller and Javid Best.....

    - There are actually people on the You Tube saying Javid is faster then CJ Spiller......NOT ON A FOOTBALL FIELD HE ISN"T. Want to see why? Take a look at how much contact Javid has to go through in order to make plays.....now take a look at the amount of times CJ Spiller is touched....this is because the players are keeping up with Best and Spiller is buy then in a blink......Best may or may not break those tackles in the NFL where players are stronger and faster

    - Without knowing I seriously want to check to see if CJ Spiller's videos are not doctored a bit......he has a gear especially in the open field that looks like "turbo boost" in a video game.....seriously its like he is going in fast forward and the other players are not.......

    - You see the plays where Spiller gets pushed out of bounds down field? Do you realize that this is happening because defenders are talking a LOOOONG angle conceding all that yardage to try to get a chance to push him? Notice they arent trying to TACKLE him just make contact?

    - Javid Best's offensive line was making huge holes for him to run through.......CJ Spiller you see him in crowds of defenders and shoot through smalller holes (probably one of the big reasons why he was drafted)

    - Dont see Best's receiving ability showcased the way CJ Spiller's is

    - I got focused into the cutting ability of Spiller and Best. Spiller's cuts are subtile and sharp.......meaning to cut away from a defender he doesn't have to take a wide lateral movement the other direction before accelerating. Best cuts away but in doing so his sideways cut is very wide meaning a defender might be giving the chance to get him from the other side of his cut.....

Thats exacty what I thought the first time I saw that video. What was his forty-time? 4.27? I'm more impressed by his 100 yard dash! I cant wait to see him make Revis look like a fool, haha.

  5. Yeah, but how much do those tickets cost? Is anyone paying $100+ to see a high school game? With beer and parking and there are 2 or more of you, maybe $500 eight times a year (or maybe 9)?

Let's get real about these comparisons. It's not a simple question of "football interest" -- of course there's more "football interest" in Buffalo than Jax or LA. It's money. Compare what the other three teams in the AFC East can collect (even MIA) to Buffalo.

    And consider this:

Ralph's team has no debt service (that's another kind of "football interest" -- look at Dan Snyder and what the Jets are doing with PSL's). When he dies someone will buy the Bills for nine figures. Whoever that is will not sink all-cash into the team but will borrow some of the purchase money. Every NFL team buyer in at least a generation has done that so don't pretend it won't happen to the Bills franchise.

So this cash-poor team in an unrich community will have to generate another eight figures a year of cash flow -- "another" meaning in addition to the cash flow it has now -- just to stay as cash-poor as it is today.

I love the Bills but that's why I just don't understand how the team can stay in Buffalo after Ralph dies.

UNLESS (a huge "unless") there's no place to move to that will offer the new owner a sweeter deal. Like Baltimore and St. Louis did to get the Browns and Rams. If San Antonio or OKC or Las Vegas or Portland or Anchorage or Beijing or Dusseldorf or Podunk wants to put up the cash . . .

You are right. I thought of ticket prices after I posted that. Obviously, that comparison doesn't hold water. The point still remains that foolsball is HUGE in Oklahoma. And you know this, man.

I certainly do not want the Bills to move anywhere. This thread is about Jacksonville moving to LA. I think Oklahoma would support a team at least as well as Los Angeles. Yes, we are relatively small market, but there are not two other teams competing for market share like they have in FL and CA. Oklahoma's economy is far more stable than Florida, especially northern Florida, and my feeling is that we would no doubt support a team better than LA.

May the Bills forever reside in Buffalo. Amen.

    GO BILLS!!!!

  6. If Jacksonville moves to LA, I'm not sure that there exists another more viable football market than Buffalo in North America. Unless San Antonio or OKC builds a world class venue with ridiculous luxury seats, I'm not certain that the next owner couldn't make the most money in Buffalo. They're already what- 24th or 25th in terms of profit margin each year? And that's in a POS stadium. Buffalo is a POS market in terms of the economy and what not, but it's actually a great football market. The same way Winnipeg is a better hockey market than Phoenix. Would a new owner be certain enough that moving a team to San Antonio or OKC or even the Skydome would be more profitable than keeping them in Buffalo ten years from now? Will people show up in San Antonio when their team has sucked for ten straight years? Our fans do and the next owner will factor that in. The Bills aint goin nowhere.

The bills aint goin nowhere!!!! You sound like an Okie like me! And I hope you are right.

I think San Antonio is a bad idea because of their proximity to Dallas and Houston. Texas doesn't need another team. Neither does California.

The economy is relatively stable in Oklahoma, (in the cities anyway) and I have no doubt our government could coerce us into paying for a stadium. Hell, I'll bet OU and OSU both see greater attendance numbers than Jacksonville. My hometown of Jenks puts 25,000 people in the seats every year at our high school rivalry game. Build a stadium within reach of OKC and Tulsa and you better believe we would support a team!

I would still be a Bills fan first though!!!

    GO BILLS!!!

  7. I remember walking into my classroom the day of the aquital and talking with my students about their reactions. The most outspoken black students pretty much universally were glad he was not convicted, and thought he was framed. The whites were, if not outraged, convinced of his guilt. There were some, both black and white, who did not want to speak about it, and it's tough for me to say what they thought.

It really did emphasize the racial divide in the U.S. What it showed to me was how--I think rightly though in this case it led to the wrong verdict--Black people in our society have a deep (and warranted) distrust of the police and the legal system.

I think the reason OJ was aquitted was to appease the black community after the injustice of the Rodney King incident (among others). If OJ was convicted, there would have been rioting again in Los Angeles.

  8. I am also a non-Buffalonian Buffalo Bill fan who is hoping to make it to a game this year. I plan on seeing them whip KC on Haloween. Arrowhead is the closest stadium to my home in Tulsa, other than Dallas.

I've only been to one game. It was the home game (1980?) when we finally broke a long losing streak against Miami and the crowd tore down the goal posts. I was eight years old, not a huge fan yet, and the only thing I remember from that game is freezing my southern fried chicken tenders off!

Is there any other out of town fans who will be going to see the Bills play this year? Anyone who wants to meet me at Arrowhead? I'll be the only Bill fan in my group. I would LOVE to visit my family and catch a home game, but that probably wont happen this year.

I am very excited about 2010! I think we will field a much stronger team this year. Short of a couple of key positions, the Bills are loaded with talent, and I have a lot of confidence in Gaily/Nix. I sure expect him to be out for blood in KC!!!

To the original poster: Best advice I've seen yet is to regulate your alcohol - wouldn't want to spoil the day. Have Fun! I wish I could be there.

    GO BILLS!!!

  9. I get sick of hearing the first 10 seconds of Hell's Bells, Paranoid, Enter Sandman, etc, between plays! Its just dumb. Before the game and halftime, maybe after a score, are the only times I think it is appropriate.

It would be nice to understand the PA anouncer. Actually it is a safety issue as well - in case emergency instructions are needed. So, I guess I wish they would shutup more, but have a better sound quality for when the audio system is used/needed.
