  1. 1. At home, by myself, with a giant HD screen. (I would be too stressed out to watch with others) Maybe another person or two would be there.

I feel ya. I had a party for the last superbowl. It was my first appartment and my Dad and I were the only Bills fans. We were way outnumbered by Dallas fans - loud, annoying Dallas fans - by a large margin. I wanted to shoot some mutha-%$#&-uhs before it was over.

Sidenote: Two of my buddies from that day, the two most obnoxious cow turds in the bunch, have been in prison now for most of their adult lives. Dallas scum. I hate em.

  2. I don't think that TD to Evans was a busted play at all. It was designed that way, the three backs were in there to confuse the Colts' defense and make the wary of the run, and it worked perfectly when they bit hard on the run and Evans was able to run through them to get wide open.

That play actually made me see the kind of thing that Gailey brings to the game as an offensive play designer that people have said of him--that he can design an offense to get the most out of the players he has, show them in a way that makes them look better than they have before.

It's only one play, in the pre-season, so I won't draw any big conclusions yet. But I know I came out of my seat when I saw it.

I guess that depends on your perspective. From my point of view, you are right. It was a perfectly designed play to draw the defenders in, and was executed to perfection. From the Colts point of view, it was a busted play - the defender was obviously suckered out of his zone.

    Loved it!

  3. Moorman. His punts were solid as always, but more impressive to me was him going after the returner. On Indy's long punt return (2nd series?) he was the last man between the runner and the endzone. Granted, the guy was headed out of bounds, but Moorman actually looked like a football player going for the tackle, and he made a nice effort to punch the ball out of the runner's arms. I absolutely cannot stand to see most kickers/punters attempting a tackle. They usually look quite foolish - as do most QBs after an interception.

  4. Wow, that came out of nowhere. I really wasn't trying to be rude to the guy...

I stated mine as well and I didn't think it was rude and obviously you did.

And that was probably rude of me as well, and I apologize for that, because I believe you intend no ill-will...but, you calling the guy 'a know it all' sounded like the pot calling the kettle black. And you disguise it so tactfully. Anyway, Ive had my morning Coke and Smoke now, and I will leave you be. Peace.

    On a more cheerful note:

    GO BILLS

  5. You are entitled to your opinion and I beg to differ. It feels like you are scolding me and telling me how to think. IMHO you come off as a know it all.

Your comparison is not a good run for several reasons. The super bowl Bills knew how to win, had established and experienced players on the team, had the same defensive and offensive systems in place. Pre season was used in a fashion to tune up, stay healthy, get in shape, and evaluate the young talent on the team. This years team is much much much different then those teams. I won't go into detail because it's obvious. You are comparing apples with oranges. IMHO, this preseason is important, not so much about winning but playing together as a unit, seeing how new guys respond to game time situations, evaluating young and old talent, setting a tone for the young guys, learning new schemes, etc...Yes its preseason but don't underestimate its importance to a young team in a rebuilding process with new coaches as . Don't tell me its only preseason! If you want to think that, that is fine. If you want to dismiss that horrendous preformance in Washington as nothing go ahead.

You speak as though there is an absolute that the Bills are going to get better and we will see it. You can have that opinion and I hope you are correct. The fact is you have no proof whatsoever to back up a statement like that. Your stating an opinion as if it is a fact. Time will tell if you opinion becomes fact...

I'm starting to see why you are not very popular around here. A know it all? Dude stated an opinion. Period. You try too hard to be tactful, and you take this site and yourself way, way too seriously. Do you really need to debate everything that every poster says? Hossage is rude and arrogant, but I'm beginning to think he is justified when dealing with you.

Before you start with me...yeah I know I add nothing to this board. I do knot have the football acumen of most of the posters here. I just love the Bills. I read this site daily and I resist adding my two-cents as much as possible, but sometimes I can't help myself. I respect your opinions, but sometimes I wish you would STFU!

  6. I was just looking over the 2010 schedule for fantasy football purposes. One thing that that stood out to me is that the AFC East plays all of their divisional matchups in weeks one through four and weeks 13 through 16. Detroit is the only other team with a similar schedule in this regard. Then I noticed that all of the AFC divisional games are generally toward the beginning of the season and at the end, while the NFC divisional games are more evenly distributed throughout the season.

Another oddity that I noticed is the divisional matchups for Chicago and Detroit. Chicagos first three divisional games are at home. Detroits first three divisional games are on the road.

Ive never paid much attention to other teams schedules. Has week 17 always consisted entirely of divisional matchups? I remember the commish stating that there would be more divisional games toward the end of the season to avoid situations such as Indys last year. That definitely seems to be the case this year.

With our final three divisional matchups in the last four weeks of the season, maybe we will still have some hope to cling to at the end of the season.

  7. In a shocking move of coaching cojones, Chan Gailey runs the wildcat all game and no QB ever sees the field.

    0 - 0

Who do I dislike more? The loud mouths or the cheaters? I like 'em both better than them florida f@##ots.

  8. Have you met DarthIce in OK? He is the Oklahomian who venomously hates Trent Edwards.

Oklahomian? I like that. Yes, I've seen him around these parts. Darthice is definately out of the ordinary. Sooner fans are also usually Dallas fans more often than not. You have to give him credit for being here with the rest of us.

Go BILLS, and Go POKES!!! Oklahoma State - alma mater of our greatest running back - TT

  9. There is only one Bills Backers Club in all of Oklahoma:

    Moore, OK

Thank You. Thats about 100 miles away, but there is a new BWW around the corner from my house. That sounds like a probable place to find Bills fans. Maybe I could get a chapter started here. I'll check out bb.com when I get home. I know of very few Bills fans here. It would be nice to find someone to cheer with me!!!

    Thanks again!

  10. I like this (nicknames) thread better than the following (draft history), (or the numerous "My 53 man roster"s).

    JMO

On another note, I think my new girlfriend may be a problem...I've been planning on wings and beer for the Bills-Redskins game tomorrow night, and now she's trying to change those plans. Gonna have to nip this in the bud methinks!

    Blah, blah, blah, blah

"Only 9 players 30 and above and 2 are kickers. This is a young team, so they may lose quite a bit. The plus side is the potentiality. I guess that is what you get when there are no players here drafted by us 8 years ago. I posted this in another thread but thought it was interesting enough to have its own.

Buffalo Bills Draft History 2002-2009 databaseFootball.com

**putting this up here because you have to look at the full draft IMO* I do see the point, but well, more information is better. I also think it doesn't really matter what draft slotting someone has so far as if they improve the team (of course it does in other ways. i.e dollars and future drafts)

After looking at it, I think the fact we have no one on the team that we drafted only 8 years ago is a pretty BIG disappointment! and inditment of the FO but the last few years have improved. I think, we will see.
