PICK IS IN! I have a good feeling about this one...

I'm hoping that the Bills grab WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey, either in the 7th or as a UDFA.
I actually remember being very impressed watching him play in actual football games at a pretty high level. Seemed to be a dominant player in the games I watched.
Checked his combine numbers and obviously they are....iffy at best.
I also have a tough time with someone named "Lil'Jordan", but that's more of a me thing. Wouldn't hate it though.

50/50 chance for an average 7th rounder to make an average roster, and ours is deeper than most.
Couple swings at maybe a 1 in 3 change to make the team?
-
I think people forget sometimes that their team isn't entitled to have any particular player, and that the other 31 teams are also trying to get all of the best super stud receivers and stuff.

I do enjoy it, I’m really not that negative. It’s just upsetting these people get to make money doing this stuff when they are barely competent. I’m glad we have Josh Allen, but our WRs and our drafting abilities to find them is severely lacking.
I understand you are disappointed that they didn't pick the guys you liked. I do wonder if you wholeheartedly believe that you could select better players than the Bills player personnel folks. I personally don't think I could, as I'm just a layperson who enjoys football, but I think there are people here who spend a lot of time as "fantasy GMs"...

What gets my blood boiling is losing and not having a WR worth a F over the last 10 years due to ineptness. Some of us have high standards, thankfully Beane seems to be fairly competent, but so far it doesn’t appear to be so for the WR department.
Choose to be happy and enjoy this hobby - you don't have to let it make you angry. I promise you'll have a better time if you commit to avoiding negativity.

That is 250 words. I can do it in much less.
Best case scenario: Gunner
Worst case: he is broken on the first day of contact in camp.
Didn't he lead the Miami Hurricanes in tackles the last two seasons? Probably not a super risk to immediately explode due to fragility, imo.

Let yourselves be happy, friends.

If I was a man of faith, I'd be looking for some divine intervention that would allow our friends here to finally see a WR selected so they can let themselves feel happy and enjoy what is supposed to be a fun diversion from the trials and tribulations of real life.

Thanks for the full game cut-up vs. LSU. Cool to watch it that way. Joseph looks fast, seems to have instincts to elude blockers trying to get to the second level. Seems like a quick accelerator. If the oline gets their hands on him, he's toast, though that's true of most. Definitely popped in that tape, and looked like he has some rush chops from the edge too.

I’ll get labeled as a hater but yeah. I liked Watson more coming out than Allen and he has done nothing for me to second guess that. I’ll say Allen has better physical skills but Watson has just been making winning plays since college.
But we have Allen and that’s why I want to get him more receiving help.
I don't think that makes you a hater. I honestly would consider the trade for sure, but I think it is close and can see arguments from both sides which lead me to my conclusion that Allen was at a similar spot in his developmental trajectory.

Would you say this if he wasn’t a Bill? ? not even knocking allen but Watson is very good and has shown a ton of evidence of this. Allen has had glimpses with great physical talent.
Fair question. I'd guess I probably wouldn't, as I definitely have invested a bunch more time and effort into watching/evaluating the players on my favorite team. If I wasn't a Bills fan, I'd imagine that I'd know as much about the team as the rest of the country does - that is not a whole bunch because frankly nobody cares about the Bills.
You'd trade Allen for Watson straight up today?

I think Vegas would probably put a line that had Watson as a small favorite in that thought experiment. Deandre Hopkins is a thing, and their offensive systems are...dissimilar.
I think Allen is still on a good trajectory to be as good or better than Watson at this point in his career all things considered.

Yeah, people who are anointing Allen and Calling Watson might have want to review things because it means Allen would have to put up Mahomes numbers.
I'm medium on Watson - I don't think he's a bad QB at all. He has certain traits I admire, and others that I wouldn't prefer.
That said, their situations are obviously quite a bit different.
Let's try this one: If you put Watson in as the Bills starting QB next year, and Allen as the Texans QB, which one do you think would post better numbers?
I think that's legitimately a good question, imo.

52 tds in 23 games is medium to you behind a bad oline??! What are your expectations for Allen then because he will be hard pressed to do that.
Not sure - haven't spent a ton of time thinking about it. Allen has 18 TDs in 11 starts. I'll trust you that Watson has 52 in 23. So Watson has outclipped him by .6 TD per game or so. I'd think Allen can get there next year.
-
Mahomes is good. Watson is medium. Both teams probably are satisfied enough with their picks, I'd say.
-
Hard to call a WR class good that doesn't send someone to the league before pick 25. Not giving into the temptation to reach for need brings me some comfort. Maybe we'll find another Robert Foster lurking deep down there!

People don't seem to understand this.
Most do, there's just a few grumpy folks that were hoping to find a fantasy player to draft next year.
That's why we're hoping for a late round flier with some elite potential that we can root for that'll cheer up our fellow fans!

Let's stay positive - can't shed tears over the hundreds of guys we DON'T pick - let's focus on who we CAN get!

I'm sorry team WR didn't get the guys they wanted. Maybe there is a late round sleeper that'll tickle your fancies!
