  1. Had Bills seasons from 2006 to 2018 with three other guys. Best money I ever spent on having a good time.

Had an Oakland Raiders season ticket account which i bought as an investment (stop laughing!) We had front row seats on the 40 yard line and still lost money on the resale market.

Only serious money I ever made reselling tickets was NCAA Final Four

  2. Salary dump for a player in the latter part of his prime. Better to bail too early than too late. This draft is wr rich. If we are a consistent 10+ win team the draft pick we get is important in keeping us competitive.

That said Stefon has a lot of good football left. I don't like the fact that he's still in our conference. Some combination of Josh, Beane and Clappy thought this was the right move. I'm at peace with it.

  3. Teams don't drop a losing culture overnight. The Holmgren era Packers lost in the playoffs to Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys for years before breaking through. I believe with the changes in coordinator we are in a better place than we were since that AFC title game. Beane and McDermott are legacy hires. I am more convinced than ever that we'll get it by staying the course. It must just be one like Madden, Holmgren, Ditka, Carroll, Payton, Gruden, Dungy and Cowher but I'll take it.

  4. I've never read anything negative about Josh, not even on this board. He's universally recognized as a franchise QB. He's carrying the heavy karma of the team's legacy and it's a heavy cross to bear but I think he's holding up admirably. It's up to Beane to field a team good enough to beat the Chiefs on a good day. When you have a great QB the rest shouldn't be too hard.

That's awesome, but again, the exceptions - not the rule.

I'm simply saying that you HOPE that whomever we take is good and can become great. But there's no guarantee that simply taking one means you're getting a Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, or Cooper Kupp level talent.

Round 1 at WR doesn't guarantee we've just gotten ourselves one of the best WR's in the NFL - like the names you're invoking imply. You could draft the next Justin Jefferson. Or you could end up with the next Quentin Johnston, Treylon Burks, Kadarius Toney, Rashod Bateman, Henry Ruggs, Jaelon Raegor, or N'Keal Harry level talent.

The only prospects that you can consider "Ja'Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson level talents" are Marvin Harrison Jr. or Malik Nabers. Even they're projections and we aren't sniffing either one of them.

I'd rather see us go defense personally I don't expect a world beater at our draft spot there either

You talk of it as if taking a guy in Round 1 means that's what we're getting. Ideally, we're able to Draft a guy who becomes that. But that's a MASSIVE ask at 28.

Jefferson was drafted at 25 and was WR5. But he's very much the exception, not the rule. And Chase was drafted 5th overall.

I think we should take a WR in Round 1. But invoking the names of Jefferson and Chase are some mighty lofty expectations.

Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp say Hi
