  1. If we continue our run first ways as we did in 2024, you want Cook to do the short yardage dirty work instead of Josh. Then there's those 18 TDs he scored.

We still don't have a #1 WR. Cook was our most reliable receiver IMO. I think a good comparator is Alvin Kamara. If you had Kamara in his prime would you pay him?

    My answer is Yes.

  2. Our run first offense cut turnovers in half but it also resulted in Josh losing rapport with the WRs and TEs. By the end of the year we were playing turtle ball and it was very predictable. We had Shakir as a deep threat and no one underneath. Someone needs to step up this year for midrange receptions.

I was impressed by the performances our coaching staff got out of our defense in the playoffs. We really can stop the run when we have to. I'm still waiting for a defensive playmaker to materialize. I'll be happy to get ten games of situational pass rushing out of Bosa. This is the last year I give Beane a pass on personnel. Josh is underpaid compared to much lesser QBs and his salary cap generosity is not being leveraged wisely. Without a pass rushing threat, I expect more disguised stunts and blitzes that work some of the time.

  3. I remember all those SI articles about the Browns being a cutting edge Moneyball organization. We don't hear much about that anymore. I believe Jimmy Haslam has added QB Scout to his title.

I suspect we'll see Flacco start the year. Once the Browns are eliminated, we'll see plenty of Shedeur and Gabriel. If the QB recycler Philadelphia Eagles have given up on Pickett after one season that tells me a lot. Now that Chubb is gone, they had better hope they struck gold at RB with Judkins. Their defense was world beating just a few years ago.

Personally I feel sorry for the Bronny James and Shedeur Sanders of this world. They can never live up to expectations.
