here's a question for you astro, why is Jonathon Crompton rated as the second best QB in the 3 draft publications I have got but not one of the mocks have him going in the first three rounds?
-
I'm saying San Diego or Detroit
For what? not swapping first round picks with the lions surely? Not that I'd mind. would that be likely?
-
Funny, I recall the same things being said about a no name, NFLE'er named Fred Jackson. Mellow out and stop the distrust. No matter what the reason, in Buddy we trust.
Exactly what I was going to say. :wallbash:

My mind changes quicker than most with this draft and I can see all arguements being valid. At this point in time though my thoughts are that we cant do it all this draft so I would concentrate on one side of the ball. If you concentrate on defence I would pick up a pass rushing OLB first, either select Derrick Morgan or trade back a little for an extra second and select Brandon Graham. Get a NT in the second (Cody may be gone so Cam Thomas could be had hopefully). If you have an additional second get Spikes here. You could get Washington in the third (I know what he's done in the past but lets move on. first round talent in the third!) and hes got a year to bed in (pardon the pun) ready for the offensive push next year. I for one think we will see a different Maybin this year. He was always a project and should never have been taken at 11# but that doesnt make him a bad player. Lets see what he does this year first.

Smart fans know not to plan a wedding during football season.
I am smart, I live in the UK, I will probably see more NFL programmes in those two weeks than I will see all year.

Thanks guys, I am sure she'll be pleased when I tell her the news
-
Hey guys anyone know when the regular season schedule is out? I am hoping to call in on my way back from Hawaii where I am getting married in mid September and catch a game. I thought now she's stuck with me she may as well be as miserable as me from Sept-Jan so she'll be officially introduced to the Bills.

If we picked up Gaither with our second, then we could trade back and get Iupati in the teens and pick up another second somewhere. We could then get a NT in the second and maybe even Washington OT in the third. Imagine the OL then with Wood moving to centre.

The Gunners escaped 2-2 against Barca in the first leg. I did not see it, but saw a recap. I hope that they can beat them in the second leg.
Yeah saw it. Outplayed initially but come back to give themselves a shot in the second leg.

You are responding to his post, yet you want to ignore his post?
Here's an idea, how about you just ignore his posts---you know, not read them.
ok, who said that???? I've been ignoring you for months!

I heard Chan personally took down every one of the TV's in the weight room. EVERY. LAST. ONE. And as he was leaving, he leaned back in the room and shouted: "Now that's coaching!"
I have to say, top quality sir, top quality!

Oh yeah, great move by the sage Buddy Nix. Here's a kid that could not make it at wide receiver with Tom Brady throwing and that line blocking in 2006 and 2007. (Brady only threw for 50 TD passes in 2007.) I'm sure he'll light it up with Edwards/Fitzy/Brohm/??? throwing behind their 2010 line which looks like it will feature more rookies starting on it then even last years. Yes sir, I see only good things for Chad Jackson this season. Way better move then wasting Ralph's unspent money on a veteran WR like Bolden or even Antonio Bryant, right? You know, a WR who might actually know how to get off the line or change up his route to allow his QB to get a throw off before the inevitable sack??
But wait, I keep forgetting, Bill Walsh....er, I mean Chan Gailey is the Bills coach. He is an offensive genius, so I'm sure he and his assistants will "coach 'em up" just fine.
Sorry guys, as you know I am new here but I saw you talking about ignoring people. Only thing I see of when this guy speaks is Kevin Arnold from the wonder years moaning in a 12 year old way about how unfair it all is. so will you explain how I do the ignore thing please? also wasnt Kevin Arnold a Jets fan too?

I dont know where we get this about the ravens accepting a second. However if this is the case this could all work very well if we can trade back and thats the key. If we traded back to green bays spot that would give us an extra two second round picks and that changes everything. we may get Graham OLB there or Cody NT, then you have three second round picks, one for Gaither one for Tebow and one for an OLB/NT (whichever you dont pick up in the first round).
-
Ugh...Tebow in the second is a horrible move...IMO...but of course I will be saying that Tebow is the next Randal Cunningham if we draft him...because I'm THAT kind of Bills fan...
exactly. is tebow the answer, the fact is nobody KNOWS. However even if they select him and even if he's awful the Bills will ALWAYS be my team. Affiliation lasts a life time for better or worse surely.

Hi Russ! How's the Brandon family doing today??
I know it's gotta be an insider talking that optimistic! lol
Its nice to be optimistic! some people oughta try it. at least till it all goes wrong anyway!
-
You're an Arsenal fan so your opinion is irrelevant ManU > Arsenal
haha very good. wrong but very good
Talk to me in November.Thats fine but do me a favour and come on here and say you were wrong if you were. So many people are slagging us off and I will be really interested to see if they can actually admit they were wrong.

Awful pun i know.
Anyway, all I am saying is for the first time in a very long time I am hopeful for the direction this team is going. I like the FA pick ups in what have been admittedly a bad year for FA's. I like the way Buddy has drafted in the past with the chargers. I like the aquisition of Whaley too. All in all i think we are in better shape than we have been for a long time. I know people are down on this team and I am not one for optimism where the Bills are concerned but I honestly believe we are not that far away. Its obvious he cant please everyone in the draft as judging by peoples views everyone is different. Personally I hope we trade down to get more picks and address the lines and maybe get rushing OLB in the first a NT in the second along with a OT in the second as well as the third but whatever the bills decide I am on board. Claussen, Spiller, Trent Williams, we can all make arguements for and against but whoever we draft I believe in this regime.
-
Wow, bold and thoughtful. This just came out of nowhere. I'll have to rethink the entire draft now. Who knew?
Who ever said sarcasm was lost on Americans is a liar!
-
he's made amistake. three in the seventh. phew

Correction: New England was granted four compensatory picks - one in the sixth round and three in the seventh round.

This would be great but I would still try and draft a NT too. Let them sit behind Rodgers for a year.
-
I just see him as a much better fit than Dan Williams at NT. I know we could probably get Cam Thomas in the 3rd but I think Cody will be a real difference maker and we should really persue him.
-
if we could trade back to the late teens and pick up an extra second I would have no problem them picking something like. 1st cody, 2nd brown 2nd washington, 3rd spikes (if he falls that far). I honestly feel this will do a lot to start turning round this team.

Its a done deal. A second this year and another pick next.
