Speaking of analytics: so far, after 2 pre-season game performances, Josh Allen's numbers are pretty much the same as....

    EJ Manuel.

Nailed it.  It's not even 2 full preseason games, lets pump the brakes.  I thinks some of us, including myself, had pretty low expectations and came away feeling like there something to work with, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.  Lets revisit this in November.

Remember fellas, RGIII and Luck were primed for stardom, and I'm probably being unfair to Luck because his career was better than RGIII, but even the best prospects can flame out or fail to reach their peak.

    This is a long race.

  2. If you really want a chuckle go look up Greg Gabriel's tweets on draft night.  Instead of killing Beane, he praised him for not giving up too many assets and still getting a QB.  For whatever reason, Greg G loves this group of coaches/front offices, he gives them a pass on everything.

We drafted a QB he hated, and yet Beane was smart for not giving up too many assets, I mean that doesnt make any !@#$ing sense to me considering the Cards gave up even less....

  3. Think of all the great cornerbacks who were pretty good return men in this league, McGee is still the only one to take a KR and Int to the house in the same game.  Did it against the Bengals.

  4. I'm sure the Lions knew, so I'm not sure why Deadspin seems perplexed about it.  Question for Deadspin, how come you guys didn't pick it up and run some article about this.  Shouldn't some fool writing for them be doing such **** for every coaching candidate?

  5. Silva is definitely terrible, passive aggressive and sometimes just flat out aggressive, I don't understand why some of these guys behave this way.  I understand that they're inundated with stupidity but what do expect when you're dealing with the lowest common denominator on twitter?   That said, I do agree that we were a bit reckless with this draft, especially given our needs, so I agree with him in many many ways.  Does seem like he has an ax to grind with our front office.  It's weird, some guys (Greg Gabriel immediately comes to mind) drink the McBeane koolaid by the buckets, while a select few hate what we're doing.  Can't win them all.

Mason Rudolph also isnt a drop back passer, or at least hasnt had to so far

Neither is Mayfield, the list is getting shorter and shorter.  This is a nonsense statement but I guess a coach can flub from time to time when he's asked all this bull ****.  Yes, a QB has to drop back to pass, I mean they have drops even in shotgun but it's a smaller distance, so what is the coach actually saying?  Nothing really.

  7. I listened to it and man, he's positive about everything, at least he hinted that front offices are blowing a lot of smoke right now.  Says he's 100% certain Arizona would have taken Allen in the first last season if he came out, strong !@#$ing words.  This dude is either really tapped in, connections all over the place, or he's a mark.  You'd think he was in on meetings with how sure he is about some of this stuff.  Like saying the Bills inquired on what it would take to move up to 1 isn't really news worthy, many teams inquire.

  8. I barely use twitter, I'm really polite when I do, and I somehow ended up being blocked by this guy.  Guess I disagreed with something he said or some else said.  Sensitive dude, I'll listen, I don't think he has the sources some think he does, seems like a guy you can manipulate the !@#$ out of if you worked in a front office because he's a good mouth piece, loves to tweet "scoops."
