Had friends who were semi pro riders in my 20s. Mostly sprint races in the DC area. Its a tough and rough sports. Lots of elbows thrown and wrecks can be disasterous. The tour de France is rough and a model of crazy endurance.

My Uncle David joined the Marines, though he was drafted by the Colts as a defensive end... the Marines paid better in the 50s. He was the 6'5" Ivy League Trophy Winner out of Dartmouth... David Bathrick. He later became a German Professor and philosopher.

I still find it ironic politicians will lose their minds over legalizing prostitution but are a-ok with legalizing all sorts of things related to alcohol, weed, firearms, gambling, etc.

Did a little research today - hotels are getting booked up, though from what I hear rooms often open since people that can’t make it cancel last minute (though, is one really waiting till last minute?). Tickets are in the $250 - $300 range...
Might be coming out w the in-laws (few Packer fans in the fam) we’re up to a group of about 8!
PS Milwaukee is only an hour away.

Why is it not directed more towards a family atmosphere? Why is it just female dancers, there are male dancers too. Why do they have to be half-naked? It really just doesn't make sense why they need to be half-naked and only female. The sport is not just for men anymore, it is a family sport.
Never thought of the violent drunken fans in the stands as a family sport. That being enjoyed cheerleaders but yeh they should get paid... wtf was the nfl thinking with all the money they make. Women and men objectify themselves all the time... but agree its a double edge sword. A women with big fake boobs and a practically see thru shirt is what? You can glance, but if you stare as a guy you are a creep. Maybe so, heck not even that attracted to that but they tend to be an eye sore anyway hard not to take a long look. Still cheerleading, actual cheerleading is serious and part gymnastics... dance routine though are more of the objectivism and only help during a boring game. I am ok with either as long if the decision yes than they should be paid well.

Yeah it used to be a career killer. But like anything, over time techniques and equipment get better.
Rehab work and repair techniques. Achilles tendons are low blood flow areas. Your blood carries bodies that repair tissues. So that area needs to be stimulated early and often once repair is done. Rehab consistency and focus is essential to successful repair. Understanding it takes awhile and consistent pt even after feeling better is important and better understood.

I am imagining a loop of Bullwinkle throwing a ball so hard it propels the receiver across the field into the end zone.

I really don't recall what he did in pass protection. Probably not much.
Making guys miss? OJ was one of the best all-time. Maybe top five. Good as OJ was, I might give Shady the edge. Shady is the only guy I've seen who approaches what Sanders could do.
Pass receiving? Outstanding. Great hands. Incredible after the catch. Plenty of Bills fans say Thurman was a better receiver, but I don't think so. The Bills ran a different offense and threw more to Thurman, but Simpson's averages were better. Simpson had more yards per catch and more touchdowns per catch.
OJ was a top 5 all-time running back. Shady is underrated, but I doubt anyone who saw them both play would take Shady over OJ.
OJ probably didnt need to pass protect much. Teams keyed on him even in the flats so he would take two defenders with him. Plus he carried the ball 30 plus times a game.. Almost unheard of in today’s game.

And OJ does not come close to Thurman Thomas!
Yeh OJ was better, but love Thurman despite the helmet incident. Plus he signed my Superman comic book in the Buffalo airport and handed us oranges during Delaware Avenue parade in old fashion cars. We were riding our banana sear bikes at the time. For all his later stupidity OJ was awesome when I was a kid. Though as a guy, despite his early womanizing... I like Thurman better.
-
Despite OJ being scum, he still was an amazing a tough runner who could both stiff arm and or fake a guy out and had world class speed. Or he would run over a guy, he was that strong. Thermal was quick in small areas and a great receiver. Another 20 secs and he alone would have won that Superbowl against the Giants.
-
OJ was the best runner and could catch out of the backfield. Thermal was the best scat back and all around back. Never saw cookie but no one else was close.

To start the year I think Jake Browning has earned the right to be considered the #1 QB. I think that changes as the year progresses and Drew Lock eventually becomes the number 1 guy, but that will depend a lot of his ability to increase his completion % and win some games at Mizzou.
Ryan Finley gets a lot of hype, but I think he is a consistent yet underwhelming prospect. Think he is more of a late 1st round guy.
One guy to keep an eye on is Andrew Ford from UMASS. Plays at a terrible program, but he has all the tools.
May have to check out a UMass game this year. Cool

If you want to read about your football team without feeling like someone is trying to goose you into a meltdown, you need only read Wawrow.
This is how it's done properly, because it's done professionally...not with an axe to grind.
Yeh he only does that with Sabre fans...

well I definitley do not feel like that "giving up" I do get a bit bitchy at times and cynical but it's fleeting. the Bills over acheived last year and I can see them over acheiving again this year. Got to like Coach McDermott, and him and Beane are on the same page. I really beleive McD puts players in position to suceed and exceed... I think he iwl do more with less again this year
Sabres wil be shedding the dead weight vets this year and I have to beleive Bottterill is a much better GM than Murray was even though did have hopes for Murray. But Dahlin wil be huge because the one thing the Sabres lack is players who can carry the puck into the other teams zone and keep it there. Him and Guhle should chage how the Sabres play next year considerably
Pegulas as new owners defintely had growing pains but there latest hires are much better. If the wheels come off 1/3 of the way into both seasons I'll go find other things to keep me occupy and look for fresh restart in 2019 as always. its jsut entertainment and I can keep it from consuming me somewhat
Still think the Sabres are 2-3 very good wingers and a goalie away from being competitive. They need consistent scoring. A decent FA signing and a couple young guns like CJ Smith and Malone stepping up could go a long way. Too many jags on this team in top six to do too much.
