Wall of Fame? That would be a class move...

1985 I'm sure was bad but my memory doesn't dwell on that as much as the 3-13 Gregg/Chris Watson team. Anytime Watson was on the field the ball was getting thrown at him and he had no chance. That team in a nutshell.

I'm just a little worried that the backups can't run Chan's offense. That makes Fitz more a target for a cheap shot. Knock out Fitz and derail the Bills offense.

I agree w/the QB situation. My concerns in order:
Qb (top to bottom)
LT
off the wall: Lindell - to be a 10+ win team you need a kicker who is dynamite in the clutch, imo.

Thanks, Jerry for confirming everyone's thoughts about Troy and Co back in the "hole" days.

I'd be open to a Quinn signing primarily because I completely buy into the idea that 1st-round QBs win championships the most. Not saying Quinn will ever amount to anything, but I don't think anyone can say he's had a fair shake yet either. Alex Smith taking seven years to "develop" should be case and point about the possibility Quinn can muster a career...Just needs the right system.
And would it really matter if it's Thigpen or Quinn backing up Fitz for now?

He'd sooner retire than play for the Bills

It's dead to right obvious that the teams Cincy played suck on offense, so this concern that defense is so great is not warranted. It's not that Cincy doesn't have a good defense, it's more to the effect that everyone they have played can't score anyways. The Bills have played prolific on offense & the 3 teams we have done it against all had at least brushed or been in the playoffs recently. The 3 teams that Cincy played have all brushed or been near the top of the draft, a completely different caliber of opponent.
Our caliber of opponents have been much better & will be much better during the year than most teams, which makes our current level of success all that much more impressive.
If we're saying the Bengals' D isn't all that because they played against poor offenses, can we also say that it's dead to right obvious the Bills put up all their yards and points against equally crappy defenses?
I'm not saying I believe this entirely because I do think Chan/Fitz/Freddy are on fire, but it's worth noting.

wouldn't we want him healthy? now in those borderline situations BB may decide to just go for it....?

As if people from Boston need to be told when to drink...ha. I thought Brady was a smart Michigan man.

I love the match up. Oakland will be on a short week and they have to travel east. Not an easy thing to do for week 2.

Should we be looking at hotel rooms and flights to Indy in Feb?

Bills 23
Chiefs 10
Start the parade planning.

"it's tough to win in this league"
Great mentality, way to set expectations.

must stop the run...and I want to see crispness on offense (i.e. receivers and Fitz in sync).
honorable mention: Can CJ start to make an impact?
-
PS - listen to that crowd.

I. feel. old.

Now if the Bills can actually get after the QB all bets will be off...I just do not want to think about a day where I actually wish they resigned Donte because it gets that bad back there.
-
I actually think the secondary is not quite as good as some think - Leodis has a lot to prove. They just weren't exposed too much last year because there was a piece of swiss cheese trying to stop the run.
