Actually most sane and rational people see Islamic extremism as Islamic extremism. That's whythey call it that. Now what they normally see as diseases..they tend to call diseases. Follow AD to the Soc. Dept. and turn right at the library. Seiously you don't really believe you have a plan for "wiping out" islamic extremism? If you do I'd love to hear it. How do you tell the extremists from the non-extremist? The extremist from the doesn't agree with us-ist? Not being a "thinker" it seems that might be difficult. In Vietnam there was a saying ...let's kill them all and let god figure out who the VC are." News flash..we didn't win that war either. -

And you're going to tell the "muslim extremist" from the "muslim insurgent" from the muslim walking down the street just how? See: Torturing the guys who happened to look muslim Part one...Abu Gharib. -

A few minor problems with your wipe them out strategy.. 1) We can't (look up "jingoistic pipe dream adventures in the middle east" by GWB) 2) We would make (hard to believe) even more enemies elsewhere in the world. If I were say ohhh...Chinese... and I saw you take out an entire race of people I think I'd be a little more than nervous..and I have a few billion people and a poopload of real wmds at my disposal. 3) wipe them out strategies haven't been terribly effective (see Exodus, Armenia, Holocaust, Rwanda, the Killing Fields) Grab your crayons and go back to the drawing board. -
I know. I was considering the present situation as more transgressions of big government in favor of some highly placed special interests. Elucidating place this PPP
-
Wow..I guess I'm not a "thinker". I missed the part in this thread where we talked about "transgressions of big government in favor of some unreachable Utopian "pie in the sky" vision." I thought it was about dummycrats...well...goes to show ya.
-
ok...I guess I'm forced into my traditional role as peacemaker here to calm the troubled waters. Why don't all pretend this thread never happened and move on to more elucidating (oh God I love that word...makes posting here justified!) topics. We can all consider this thread dead as the proverbial doornail?

Not without an offensive or defensive line they don't. And they have linebackers and safeties. Tight end I might make an exception for as a fourth or fifth pick. Address the arterial bleeding before the bruises. -
Now THAT is elucidating! I've missed you too AD~~~

Nowhere near as funny as W divebombing for boogers..but I try.

This is going to be a phone in game or Mularkey will pull every trick play in the book. He is either already fired or as close as a guy can be to getting fired. He needs to win (the team doesn't) in order to line up the next football job. When your team doesn't care for you and has nothing to play for, you better come up with something...because denver is going to come at us with guns a-blazing. Oh..this is going to be one ugly Saturday night. -
And that relates to china buying us the old fashioned way? I'm not one of those "thinkers" so I'd appreciate your elucidation.
-
I never did understand the criticism of me for bringing it up. Its not MY digit exploring the inside of GWB's nostril. Hell if he had dug like that for oil he'd be president of Exxon by now. And that isn't MY flightsuit he's wearing as if he'd ever flown a combat mission. And was I on that aircraft carrier hanging up the MissionAccomplished sign...hell no. Now Halliburton you righties were right on. I'm going to put on the old santa costume now and go out and ring a bell collecting quarters for poor Halliburton that the "thinkers" here tell me is losing so much money on those no bid contracts in Iraq~

Obviously muslim extremists give a damn. We just don't seem willing to explore what they give a damn about. They obviously give a damn about something enough to strap on a bomb and blow the s--t out of populated areas or drive an airplane into a building. If our leaders think this is the act of someone who doesn't give a damn we are in a lot worse a situation than even I thought we were in. They give a damn about jihad..that's for dam sure. Theirfollowers give a damn about a lot of things, national autonomy, economic influence, self-determination. They do give a damn about going after the folks they perceive as their enemy...who happens to be us. Iraqi "insurgents" generally give a damn about a whole bunch of things. Some revenge, some occupation, some religion, and some about bettering themselves (not necessarily with us). Maybe when we get a new coach and gm in the white house we can look on this season and figure out what happened. -
Hmmm...I just look at the mess in Iraq, Homeland Insecurity, the Katrina fiasco and China on the verge of taking over America the old fashioned way (buying us) and I have a hard time believing anyone who has Bush as his candidate could get off calling himself a thinker. The rest of the joke was repetitive and not funny, but then even I have been called to task for overrepeating jokes. (something about where GWB puts his fingers, plays like a real soldier in a pilots garb, and minces around an aircraft carried with the MA sign flashing... I try to watch it..but what the Hall (iburton).

Why the Bills should go for Reggie Bush.....
tennesseeboy replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Houston SHOULD pick the best offensive lineman..but I am convinced you are right. Bush is too good a name to pass up. It would be like not picking OJ. My worse nightmare is they don't pick him and take the best offensive lineman and he slips to us. If so I would take a deep breath and trade away the pick (it should be a VERY lucrative trade if the rights to Bush are on the line) and still go for the porkers. Maybe Jason Allan of Tennessee as a cornerback who might slip to late second or early third round because of his injury this year...but that would be a stretch and he's kind of a homer choice. -

There will be a remarkable number of offensive and defensive linemen this year. I think if we don't get a lineman who is one of the top 10 players in the draft, then we should trade down and go for some of the others, but I think that we can get a real blue chip offensive tackle with our first pick which should be about fourth or fifth. I hate to say this, but our team is not very good to start with. Couple that nothing in particular to play for against teams still in the hunt, and a internal dissention that would cripple even a talented team. The upside is that we will probably be the team with the first choice of a quality offensive or defensive lineman. Houston may beat us to it...but that's show business. In the best of all worlds we walk away with a stud Offensive or Defensive Tackle in Round 1, another Defensive Tackle, A tight end, and a gaurd. Let's put it this way...We shouldn't draft anyone under 250 pounds in the first five rounds. -

Johnny unitas, otto graham, joe montana, joe namath, jim kelly, dan marino...NO QUARTERBACK...NO QUARTERBACK is going to play well with an offensive line as porous as ours. There are a number of exceptional offensive and defensive linemen in this draft. We have to get a number of them. -

Nope...I was correcting myself. Of course you know it all republican "thinkers" never get into situations where you would consider that Kind of explains the Iraq death toll. -

Spent the better part of last year in Kiev Ukraine. The Orange Revolution was fairly effective there, but watch out for dioxin and the Russian army. -
Lee Evans. Underachiever.

BINGO... our receivers are the only strength on offense. And they are mediocre by NFL standards. Our offensive line is HORRIBLE by NFL standards. I don't care if its Jerry Rice, Don Maynard, Andre Reed or TO...if they run their route, turn around and see the quarterback on his ass, it don't mean nuthin.
