I've seen an awful lot of confidence being placed in Wang around here. I'm afraid these expectations are too far removed from reality. Everything I've read points to Wang being a developmental project, and if he's ever ready to start it won't be this year. Can someone please point me to why the #22 ranked tackle in this draft according to Nawrocki will be of any help this year, if ever?
Wang is a practice squad project at best.

She was 12 when he was born with a 40 year old Dad. I just assumed she was a crack head prostitute. Why waste the time even asking it.

I heard an interview with McShay the other day. He said he HATED to have to do a 2011 mock now because of all the guesswork but the geniuses at ESPN required him to. Who else could he possibly stash at the number 1 pick instead of the Bills? The Lions and Bucs have second year QB's that will be better and TB was actually playing well at the end of the year. The Browns, Raiders and Seahawks have improved greatly. I think the only competition is the Bills and the Rams. That being said I think Locker should be the pick.

I've been a bills fan a longtime since mid to late 70's.Lived thru the
Super Years( we could win every game but one).
We became a halfassed organization when Ralph fired John Butler.of
course they(including buddy)went to SD, became buffalo west and you
know what happened.
We, on the other hand, hired the arrogant idiot Donahue, and equally arrogant ass
greggo"I dont like fat guys"Wiliams, watched a proud organization get run into the ground.
brought Marv back for stability because we became a laughingstock.watched him and realized
he was a good coach, but not a Gm.suffered thru the Jauron/tampa 3 crap."Its tough to win
in this league"geez what an idiot.
Now we are back to what we never should have let go.Buddy and Chan are Football men building
a football team, with excellent coaches and a frim belief of their philosophy.Teams used to
be scared to play in Buffalo, they will again.
Keep up the good work!No more undersized players.Thank God..!
Hold Kool-Aid Batman!! My goodness. It's hard to remember the outrage when Good Ol' Buddy hired Chan and continued his questionable decisions this past week. I would love to think things are good but truth is they just aren't.

WOW!! I didn't even read this article and posted basically the same thing a couple of minutes ago. Nix is clearly playing for the first 20 minutes of the draft next year. No doubt!! And, its the right thing to do. This team needs to bottom out. Please 1-15 here we come!! Get the QB and start to have a future. The worst thing they could do is win 5-7 games again.
-
The team has to hit rock bottom to get a franchise QB which is what it needs. This draft and "plan" for this year shows they know how to do that. I think the first 20 minutes of the draft next year will have the Bills on the clock and help to start turning things around.

John Skelton or Bruce Campbell if he actually slipped.

Stupid post.
Not my post but really why is it stupid? He's Santonio Holmes or Ted Ginn at this point. 5th rounders.
-
Carrington has the measurables and raw talent to vie for a starting position after his second or third season in the league.
How can people be on board with a guy that MIGHT start in 2012 at best? I understand its the third round but that seems to not be the greatest strategy.
-
I wouldn't get your hopes to high.
Exactly - I'm feeling a DB. Its about time isn't it?
-
The picks are arrogance pure and simple. We are smarter than everyone. We pick in 2 seconds because no point in considering trading down its too much math for Buddy. Lord knows he'll be better next year, most seniors are morning guys. He's probably nodding off right now anyway.
-
I GOT ONE RIGHT!! I GOT ONE RIGHT!!! FIRST TIME EVER!! WRONG ROUND BUT STILL!!!
Great pick!!
You had it right. 71 was perfect timing!!
-
This was a great 3rd round pick. Should have been Charles Brown. This just goes to show Buddy locks on with tunnel vision. About 4 mins total time on two picks. Trade down 25 spots and take this non penetrating slow high motor guy. Ugh lets get our QB's killed and open no holes for Spiller. Makes no sense. Jake Locker here we come.
-
They got a great 3rd round NT. Typical Bills. But he has the Kelsay "HIGH MOTOR."
-
Yup. One touch for each running back before they punt.
I think he will get TONS of touches. You know how often the opposition is going to score giving him return opportunities!! Hopefully he has a nice family like Ted Ginn Jr.
-
The Bills just drafted a kick returner at number 9 just like the Dolphins a few years ago and are probably destined to trade him for a 5th in a few years like Ginn. To draft a guy that will only play 3rd down and return kicks at 9 is arrogant and stupid for a trainwreck of a franchise.
-
He didn't look sad. He was emotional and fighting back tears. I think he was excited to be picked that high.
No he looked sad. No doubt about it. I had the same look. My friends at the house actually said "should we go now?" Spiller may be a good player but they need line help. This pick reminds me of Donahoe. Flash over substance.
-
I'm hoping this "we don't want Clausen" is a smokescreen on Buddy's part. There is too much evidence this guy will be great to not go after him. This is a QB league as we have seen for the last 10+ futile years. He may bust, so may the offensive lineman, def. lineman or RB being touted. The draft is a crapshoot but he you have to gamble sometimes and this is a gamble worth taking if available.

I'll watch the two games against the Dolphins they televise here in Miami but that looks like all I'll be watching with no prime time games. I refuse to buy NFL sunday ticket this year- not for the cost but rather to avoid wasting sunday afternoons watching a bad team.
My exact same situation here in Punta Gorda. My first year without the Sunday Ticket.
-
Well the funny thing will be when Ralph shows up in his old civil war outfit and says "WAR ROOM!!"
-
I believe by signing that deal, he just means he can be traded by the Skins since he is under contract now. The new team Campbell is dealt to can agree to a new contract. And $3.1 million for starting QB is peanuts anyway.
He is under a one year deal for 3.1 and a FA the following year (with the caveat of labor agreement/lockout issues, etc.)
-
I'm just hoping no one has clued him in that rounds 1-3 are during the week now. He can only screw up rounds 4-7 so much.
-
Dude, we are all going insane with all this nonsense dealing with THIS YEARS draft. Please give it a couple months before we start campaigning for someone in 2011.
I thought I would try and shift the focus. Dan Williams will help the D big time this year though.
-
The Bills select Jake Locker, QB, University of Washington. I think this is the future franchise QB. A local sports radio show down here was going through each teams schedule (not the right weeks obviously) and figuring out records and then doing some speculating on 2011. They agreed with my ominous thought on this year.
We'll see but this schedule outside of the Lions and Browns is going to be tough to see a lot of wins this year. I'm trying to think like a Japanese automaker however and not panic!

It will be great if this kid can start one day but day one does not bode well. Peters was on the roster a long time before he ever got over to LT. It would frankly not be shocking to see this guy on the practice squad this year in order to get bigger and more polished. I just think putting any kind of faith in this guy passed over this much for day one is completely misplaced. Now year 2 or probably 3 of the rookie contract could hold some hope.
