    Brady definitely is.

As hard as this is to say, Brady is the best qb of this generation. That's not a system qb. He hes evolved as a passer over yhe course of his career, going on 13 yrs, and while it is valid to harken back to cassell, remember that NE missed the playoffs that yr. If it were all the system they wouldve gone further, right?

A side note also, I get why ppl here hate Brady, but if you forget the team he plays for and look at his story, it's really something. Unhearlded propect goes from cast aside scout teamer to hall of famer, come on, you can't write this stuff. Add in the attitude, the playboy rep, supermodel wives/girlfriend's, and the tuck rule/brady rule/spygate stuff. It's an unbelievable story.

  2. Dude is definitely a burner, but can you imagine just what would happen if we took another RB in the first or second round ?

Fans would lose their minds !! Especially when we need so many other positions that would make the team better .

We have a top notch set of RB's we need LB's, WR's (seeing as we have gotten rid of the better ones we had) & there's still that QB thing hanging over our heads .

Austin IS a WR, not RB.

Running a new offense now. We will see. Heights always nice but it may not be a strict requirement.

Nix is on record in reference to what he wants in an outside wr, Dobson seems to be exectly what we are looking for. Good 2nd level burst body control, high point ability, good route tree/running. Most importantly the value if he were to last into rd 3 would be too much to pass up

  3. I firmly believe that Austin and his Teammate Bailey will be 2 of the best WRs in this draft. However, Im not sure either will be targets for Buffalo considering that we Know Nix wants a tall guy that can high point the ball. IMO Aaron dobson, from cross state rival Marshall is the guy to watch. 6-3 205, projected to run in the high 4.3's low 4.4's, good route runner. He could be the target with our 2nd or 3rd rd pick, and would make a great addition to Stevie and TJ.

....who was the only young & relatively healthy Star QB to ever hit the open market.

The chain of events that led to his becoming a FA are not likely to happen again anytime soon.

Totally agree with you on that....we seem to have placed very little emphasis on obtaining a Star QB through any method in recent years, regardless of the method's likelihood of long term success.

If by relatively healthy you mean coming off a major shoulder injury that left enough question marks for the dolphins to take Culpepper over Brees than yeah he was relatively healthy.

  5. Ill Throw these 2 kids names into the hat.... Aaron Dobson and Stedman Bailey

" He looks a lot like a poor man's version of A.J. Green coming out of Georgia except that he lacks Green's explosiveness and top end play-making speed. He is a legitimate No. 1 WR prospect for the NFL level."

  6. if that loop hole exists, where a college player could go play for the CFL instead of college - which im not sure of the rules regarding that - that loop hole would QUICKLY get shut down after Clowney decided to do that, the NFL is far to rich and powerful to get played like that....and im sure already has something in place to stop that from occurring

There is NOTHING the NFL can do about it. 3 yrs removed from HS, that the rule. It says nothing about what he does or where he plays for those 3 yrs. As long as CFL rules allow him to play then he can go to Canada for 1 yr, then sign a UFA deal with ANY NFL team.

  7. "The Daily News is reporting that Scott, Calvin Pace and Jason Smith will be cut before the 2013 salary cap kicks in for the start of the signing period on March 12. None of the moves is a surprise. They represent a combined cap savings of $27.7 million." Link

Maybe they won't be so hard pressed to release Keller and Landry after all.

Jason Smith is our Levitre walking back up plan
