  1. of note… half those guys were a case of the team moving on from them because you can’t build a future with 40 year olds
  2. if a defense has to defend the entire field it take stress off our line and opens up the playbook if we have a lead our small linebackers aren’t stuck in the trenches as much
  3. Hard disagree. the defenders would be out a little louder but it was an ugly game that underscored the known issue which the GM chastised fans for commenting on
  4. a real #1 fixes so much A defense has to defend twice as much space it opens up all the underneath cook and Allen get less abused playing with a lead lets our defense key in one dimensionally it is the most complimentary football we could ever play. And speaks to my point that this isn’t a 10 year process. Picture this team with George Pickens for a 3rd this year.
  5. if not for the tip ball on the play prior a mesh concept would’ve worked stellar
  6. Rebuilds take 5 minutes these days. It’s not some 5 year process
  7. it’s really super simple. all 53 guys we have are talented. Even our practice squad guys are. There’s a reason we get excited for WR8 flashing potential basically every year. the problem is the fringe guys can flash it here and there while the elite can do it week in and week out consistently. do you not recall getting excited about 2 weeks of good play from some low end player for like 20 years? Allen can’t carry that all by himself but sometimes they will flash alongside him. You are confusing “skill” with “results in small samples”
  8. I can’t repeat enough that we seem to be ignoring the hammering he took including an injury immediately proceeding this throw. I feel like we need to splice him trying to fix his throwing hand alongside him not having his normal zip on this throw
  9. call me crazy but I do t think Josh and McDermott are a particularly good pair to begin with. and now it feels like a lot of the offense is a Josh fan club instead of guys that will press/challenge him It just has that “low positive” season lack of fire to win around the whole group
  10. too many of them became Josh Allen fans with the mvp instead of Josh Allen teammates
  11. that one looked so weird live im guessing he hit a strange angle/position that created an instant of being unable to engage well but it looks terrible. I had not noticed it as a trend
  12. now ask if a team in our cycle should be paying 20m for that type of player
  13. he also had just injured his throwing arm/hand
  14. yup - we ran it back with an unsustainable model no the worst part is that last year was supposed to be the reset but turned into the new normal when we committed to everyone staying and not adding much
  15. Palmer had space too. Josh was just criminally abused and physically couldn’t get it to him it seemed.
