  1. It's still early in Rex's tenure as the Bills head coach but...

The Bills are playing worse with him so far than they did with Doug Marrone.

And the Jets are playing better without Rex.

Yeah, there's been some personnel changes on both teams but you gotta sense a pattern.

Absolutely. Rex is hype. But where are the results? Do the Pegula's think they will sell as many tickets next year with a disastrous season this year? Rex talked a good game but results are what matters. He has taken a top 5 defense and made it into one of the worst in the NFL. We lead the league in penalties. Yes we have injuries. Every team has them. All I could think about when EJ was handing the ball to the Jaguars was the game we played against Rex when Geno was the quarterback. This last loss has Rex's name all over it. He better pull some magic out of his hat at the bye or we will be saying bye bye to Rex at the end of the year.

  2. So much for the "trend" of low ref involvement in the 3RD QTR. Refs continue to be human, making lots of errors and calling things by how they look as opposed to how they actually happened. Bills showed poise and restraint when getting hosed. After the Graham PF, the Bills took it out on the Titians, tackling them hard on 3 straight plays and forcing the last Whisenpunt. We're gonna need all the help we can get against Cincinnati, so I predict Walt Coleman.

What a great post. Please keep them coming! You make a good point in the above paragraph. Bills must continue to show restraint with the Ref's. We need to be the good guys and develop a reputation for fair play. Getting the ref's emotionally on your side is a smart call.

  3. I'm reading a lot in this thread about how this is a prime example of how teams will instigate us because we've demonstrated an inability to play within the rules.

    BULL ****

This is a prime example of an opponent getting away with something and a prime example of how NFL officials, through the first quarter of 2015 have SUCKED. They need to be reactive to the retaliators AS WELL as the instigators. THAT'S THEIR JOB. In fact, if it's gotten to the point of retaliation--as it did with Brown on Sunday--then the officials have failed to do their jobs by not telling the instigators to knock it the !@#$ off.

Under no circumstances is it continent upon the Bills to put up with **** for ANY reason, regardless of what you think their "reputation" is. Bull ****. It's contingent upon the officials to CONTROL THE GAME. And if one team is making a concerted effort to disrupt that control, then the it's the officials' JOB to address that.

Big: I totally agree. The level of officiating has been awful. In my opinion what goes on is that the Ref's, wanting to remain in control of the game, discuss what they feel they need to do up front. Teams like the Bills, that have touted being more aggressive in the press, get looked at more closely. Favorites don't. As a consequence the Bills get screwed. Less you think the Bills are the only ones, you need to look no further than the Seahawks-Lions game last night. The Seahawks bat the ball but it gets missed.

Changing the calls has to do with changing our message regarding the game. We can be aggressive but we play within the rules....

  4. I get so upset with the penalties that give the game to the opponents. I just don't get it. It seems like the refs are looking harder at our team that the opposition. Maybe it's because of our history? I just don't know. To that end if the players know they are going to be held to a closer standard, they need to play with that in mind. To lose two touchdowns to penalties is just to much....

  5. I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I tire at the constant fawning over Bellacheat and Brady. Last week to hear all the sports talking heads proclaim a 16 and 0 season for the Pats as a possibility was more than I could take. I finally stumbled upon an article that had something meaningful to say about the Pats and thought I would share....

  6. Was trolling the web and came upon this article about Ndamukong Suh ignoring play calls... " In the early going, however, Suh has been lackadaisical on defense, and during the loss to the Jaguars he was ignoring coaches' play calls, according to The Miami Herald's Adam H. Beasley:"

Apparently he has been almost a non-factor in the last two games...

  7. At game's end, all I wanted to do was shoot myself. How could we drop this game to Patriots and Tom (I'm so fine, Brady)? I went to bed and had a fitful sleep. Then it came to me. We let the Patriots win. With stupid, stupid penalties that cost us the ball over and over. Good field position? Nope, penalty. We were a mess. Be it nerves, over zealous coaches, whatever, we were a mess.

I am glad it happened early in the season. If we learned from this....and I think the team did. We will be a better team.

I still Bill-eve. No one ever thought we would win all our games. We play the Patriots again on their home turf on Nov. 23. Let's take it to them.

  8. The refs played this game against us. They called penalty after BS penalty and stripped us of the momentum we had going for us in the beginning. All the BS sportsman calls were nonsense. They will probably say they wanted to control the game early. But in doing so they changed the outcome of the game. That is not controlling †he game.
