  1. Has anyone come across a Bills big hat online? Was trying to find one.
  2. Thanks for adding in Niagara Falls recs like Judi's! I will be in NF in a few weeks. Any other good wing recommendations there? I saw there's a Duff's in NF. I also heard that Buzzy's is good? Thanks for the recs.
  3. Levitre looking awful for the Falcons tonight. relieved that we let him go.
  4. Just wanted to share an evaluation on local radio here in D.C. of our own Scott Chandler. In the Redskins off season report, Chris Cooley (now a reporter on local D.C. radio) gave his breakdown of available free agent tight ends. He ranked Chandler as #1 (assuming Graham and Pitta are franchised). It was interesting to hear Chris Cooley rave about him and call him a poor man's Gronkowski. I do like Chandler, but have never thought of him this highly. Thoughts? With this kind of review, should we be thinking higher of him?
  5. If and when Andy Reid is fired, would people be interested in him as the next Bills coach? Just curious regarding people's opinions.
  6. I don't post much but I read posts several times daily. Look I am as pumped as all of you are about Mario. Believe me - I am super pumped. I'm just saying - I think it is pretty misguided to suddenly think we are contenders based on this one signing. The Texans roster has been a heck of a lot better than ours with Mario Williams and they didn't finally make the playoffs until this past year. Just sayin - we've got more work to do. That's reality.
  7. Don't we have more cap space? I haven't heard any rumors about other signings except that we have talked to Mario Manningham. I think we have many other holes to fill. I'm really hoping we are not calling it quits in free agency just because of one huge signing.
  8. I can't understand why Buffalo wouldn't at least test the waters on Peyton Manning. Yes, we invested money in Fitzpatrick - who cares! Fitz is a good quarterback but we all know he is not the guy to take us all the way. Arizona is interested in Manning despite putting big money into Kevin Kolb last year! They realize that Kolb is only mediocre so they are trying to upgrade the position. I just can't understand why we wouldn't at least consider Manning. Now the real story is whether or not he would consider us (probably not)...
  9. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...eek4/index.html Here's a link to Peter King's article last season where he named Trent Edwards MVP of the 1st quarter of the season. While obviously things have gone south since then, I still think that Edwards deserves more of a chance. Like other people have said - Fitz is what he is. He is not the future of the Bills. Is Edwards? I don't know, but we really should get more of a look. It will help the team dictate off season decisions. Putting Fitz out there helps nothing. Some of these QB's (Brees, E. Manning) just wake up suddenly and start playing well - maybe that could happen to Trent.
  10. I truly don't believe Edwards has been given a fair chance. Yes, he has been extremely inconsistent. Yes, he has often been captain check down. However, even last week he threw 2 very nice deep balls to T.O. He has shown the ability at times to have pocket presence, make good decisions, and has accuracy. There have been several excellent NFL quarterbacks who did not blossom until their 4th season (Eli Manning and Drew Brees). He has been playing on a lousy team with a lousy coach and a lousy O-line. We know Fitzpatrick is not the quarterback of the future. I cannot understand why, in a season we know is already lost, we would not put Edwards out there to see if he finally shows some consistency. If by the end of the year, he is not showing improvement, sure try to bring in (draft or free agency) the next quarterback. But I would still keep him next year while a new QB is developing. The light may just turn on next season like it did for the 2 QB's I named. I think he has shown just enough upside to believe he may still develop. I would be very sad to see the guy just cut. I think there's a decent chance that we regret it in the future when he finally develops with a team like St Louis or Carolina. Anyway, that's my opinion. It doesn't seem like too many people agree with it.
