  1. So what, you are a better fan then everyone else because you won't say anything negative about the team

Explain to everyone what there is to be proud of about this team this season and the "direction" they are going in? I'm done defending this front office and coaching staff, its apparent that they don't have an idea what they have here and that they are throwing away this season to evaluate what they were given by the previous regime, something most GM's and coaches (new and returning ones) do in the offseason by watching film. What moves have they made up to this point to make you believe they have a plan in place and are pointing this team in teh right direction? Is it their assessment that Trent Edwards was the best QB on the roster and didn't need to upgrade that position? Was it that they were weak at the RB position and it was a major priority to upgrade that spot? Was it that they felt they needed to stock up on Kick Returners? Was it the vision they had that told them that they had the proper players in place to run a 3-4 defence by just moving a couple guys around to new spots? Could it be Chans recent comment that the offensive line isn't big/strong enough to pull off what he is trying to do on offence?

Thank you for the intelligent response, really.

Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix came in here with a plan. Both of them have done/seen it done before.

The end of your post I guess you are implying that CJ Spiller was the wrong pick. Really? Who else would you have chosen? The next tackle, Anthony Davis? Bryan Bulaga? Both are stuggling, with the right tackle and guard position respectively. We always talk about best player available, thats how good teams get to be great teams. We were a ok team with Jauron. Cj helps this team mightily, especially since Marshawn is gone. Mike Mayock, best draft guru imo said that if a team needs a guy to pick up chunks of yeardage at a time than you draft Cj Spiller. Guess what, we are that team. He is a special player!!!

As for offensive line. The most important part on an NFL team. We are wayyyyyy behind the rest of the NFL with our lines. But im just going to talk about the offensive line for now. I feel like Demetruis can be a starter. I feel like andy levitre can be a starter. But thats about it. I love Eric Wood but he is not meant for the right guard postion. You think Big, tough guy, why not? He struggled with one on one blocking in college and thats excatly what you do at the guard postion. ONce Wood goes to center and Hang becomes are 4th man in the interior, we will be good with 3 positions. As for RG I like Urbik. A guy with a grown mans body and has grown man stregnth. You need that to play guard in this league. And finally, the missing link. We know Cornell Green is not the answer. And we have a glaring weakness at RT.

I can go on and on about every position and what i think but bottom line is i trust chan and buddy. Chan never saw trent in live condition for himself. Once the bullets flying we have no pass protection and chan didnt see that in training camp. Thats why with this o line we need a mobile qb, and thats why fitz does ok.

    Anyone disagree?

  2. Let me start off by saying I, just like many of you, are ashamed, embarrassed and tired of watching my Bills lose year after year. Nothing ruins my WHOLE week like the Bills losing. I am depressed every Sunday after a loss and I think about what went wrong the rest of the week. Some may call me crazy, but I tell them I am a Bills fan and thats how WE are. WE are a different breeds than most NFL fans and fans in general. When my Mom tells me; "Why do you beat yourself up over the Bills year after year". I tell her I simply cannot help it. I bleed red, white and blue. I have no control of my intensity as a Bills fan.

I say that, to say this..

Please, please stop being so negative. We are Bills fans. We are supposed to support the team in whatever decision they make. I know I am a very optimistic person by nature, but when the Bills make a decision (especially this new regime that have not wronged us yet, that we know of) I support it. I get into arguments all the time with my friends who like other team, mostly the Dolphins, and no matter how bad we are I always support our football team.

Im tired of this pity party everyone is throwing.

Marshawn Lynch was one of my favorite personalities on the team. I bought his jersey his rookie year and have loved him ever since. But, he is not what this team needed going forward. The guy tip toes when he gets the ball. Yeah he can carry a couple of defenders on his back, but come on. He never breaks big runs. As of yesterday I was supporting him, but today he is no longer a BIll and no longer am I going to defend him. Running backs these days grow on trees. And no matter what anybody says CJ Spiller will be a very special player.

Bottom line, start being proud to be a Bills fan. We are not like only teams fans. We are NOT fair weathered fans. We can only control certain things as fans. One of them is our loyalty.

  3. I'm looking at a RB in Marshawn Lynch who has poor field vision, is one mistake away from sitting out a whole season, a player who lost his starting position to a walk on, plus someone who's gone after this season anyway.

Anyone who see's this trade as a mistake needs to get real...if anything was a mistake it was drafting him to begin with...

    THANK YOU!

  4. I grew up in South Florida and as my friends, who are all Dolphin fans, know that I am as big as a Dolphin Hater as they come. I couldnt be happier. They are the biggest far weathered fans in the world. If only they knew what we go through every year... Somehow the Patriots dont bother me nearly as much as the Dolphins and Jets do.

  5. I like him a lot. Our dline is looking decent with him and edwards... stroud is unfortunatly not being consistant and our LBs are struggleing. It sucks that so much of this team needs work. All the crappy players on this team are holding our good players like williams back.

And spencer johnson in there is like playing with 10 men.. If stroud cant go, I wanna see carrington out there.

  6. I for one am very glad Chan came out steaming, because i was thoroughly embarrassed to be a Bills fan this season and this game in particular. We need answers as loyal fans. I feel that his pride is at stake and its refreshing to see. Today was an example of coaches taking over total different. Rex took over a great solid group of players and Chan got this....

  7. Im beginning to wonder what Buddy said when he first got here when he said were not that far away.. I think Poz and Edwards are the only solid players in our front 7.. I dont know why I have read that Carrington and Troup did not perform decently, I both fared ok when in there.. Spencer Johnson was HORRIBLE the whole game.. He was really nice when i met him but hes got to go.. Got oushed around and looked out of poistion on every big run.

  8. Very fair point.

I mean, this all goes back to the top though. In reality, the decision to hire Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix were made from the some cloth as what you just said. Uninspired choices who have had decent, albeit not stellar careers.

I mean, this is where Bills fans have grown too accustom to consciously ignoring the reality of the decisions that come down from arguably one of the top 5 WORST ownerships ever to have a position in the NFL (I will argue this w/ whoever wants a piece, the glory years were Bill Polian's, not Ralph's). Jauron stars 4-0 and we convince ourselves that he might just be the right guy (way wrong). Russ Brandon gets put in place as GM and we convince ourselves that it was Modrak making the decisions all along anyways, so Brandon being GM really isn't a big deal (way wrong). Gailey is hired and after much grousing, we all convince ourselves that he is the right guy to turn around our lackluster offense because he can "fit schemes to his player's strengths" (wrong). Or Nix, a guy whose eye for talent has been overshadowed by the bosses he has worked for. This guy isn't a big name, but he knows a football player when he sees one (Maybe, but Cornell Green says otherwise).

The point is, its about time that Bills fans start dealing with reality. We, the fans, are collectively being fleeced by this franchise as Ralph and the rest of his cronies line their pockets before the inevitable sale. I'm telling you, his management decisions are akin to a CEO of a company liquidating his/her shares before it goes under but publicly telling everyone that everything is going to be all right. Tell me I'm dramatic. Thats fine. But its true. And now I feel better.

    Youre dramatic

  9. I would go with...

1)Marcus Stroud.. I know, he's a "leader" but he the most disappointing player on this team this season. Hasnt gotten to the qb and looks foolish on run plays.

2)Reggie Torbor.. Gets thrown around at olb, doesnt stay healthy. Cant rush the passer or stop the run

3)Akin Ayodele... Dont need another slow again vet, especially when Poz comes back.

4)John McCargo... This season as been a microcosm of his career...

5)Cornell Green... I heard all of his bashing on here.. No need for another low-blow.

  10. Word's going to leak out this team is focused on setting the team up for sale and is run by non-football people. Funny Nix wasn't around when the announcement was made to cut Edwards. That speaks volumes and the silence from OBD is deafening.

Non football people???? Non football people??? It doesnt get more football than Buddy Nix. What do you mean he wasnt around when the announcement was made. it was Chan Gailey's Monday press conference, since when does the GM ever have a press coinference besides signing a player or after the draft? You guys are something else

  11. And Roscoe was treated like a 4 year old when the defensive back told him "give me that" on the interception and Coe was too weak to do anything about it

Scoe will be in the slot for 3 and 4 reciever packages. Im just concerned with him in their on running plays. Im sure gailey has thought this over.

  12. Ok, so since we dont have teh best QB to ever play football, does that mean we need an OL?

Ugoh got cut from the Colts. Well guess what, he could still be the best tackle on the roster, let alone beter than Chambers/Meredith/Green. Sign him because we need anything at this point

Chambers is no longer on the team.
