  1. Only Chris Kelsay could warrant such a outburst of emotion!

How he has been playing lately and the fact that all he got was an increase in salary this year, it was not that much of a big deal. I think Donte may be finally turning the corner. One of the final drives of the Bengals game, Donte have that big shot to Shipley in a critical time in the game. He might become that player we have always wanted him to be.

  2. Over the past four or five games the Offensive line play has been amazingly playing pretty damn good even with the revolving door at OT. I am not saying there's no room for improvement but the real focus of next years draft should be DE/OLB pass rushers on defense. If QB Luck is there take him, otherwise draft three DE/OLB in the first Three rounds. Load up on the front seven and draft some OT in the 4th round and later.

I agree the offensive line has looked better and the Rt position needs to be addressed. Once I re-watched the game last night, I realized Hang is a pretty good center. I have always been one for moving Wood to center, but after watching these last couple of games against good competition I think Wood should stay at RG. Let him beef up a little more and we would have a well gelled interior line. Just need that RT. Anybody that says Bell cant play inst watching the game this season. Both regimes have liked this kid a lot and its starting to show why.

  3. Now hear me out. I have been very impressed with Moats ever since the coaching staff moved him back to his natural position of OLB/DE. I think he might have combined for a sack the last 2 games with at least a half in each game. His spin move and initial burst has really impressed me the most.

He also give me a Shaun Phillips type of vibe about him. A little undersized, late round pick, not from a college powerhouse, good natural pass rusher. I just think this guy is going to be special for us and we need him to get the most playing time this year.

I know you guys, myself included, were upset we didnt go after Thaddeus Gibson, but i feel that move would of pushed back the development of Moats, because we all know they would rather play Kelsay than give a young LB playing time.

Heres to Moats' future with the Bills and many more sacks to come!

  4. By no means am I a godlike football know-it-all, but now that we've almost reached the half way point of the season, I was hoping to get a consensus feeling regarding the performance of our 1-3 round 2010 draft picks from some of the more football gifted minds on TSW. I've been pretty busy with work have to settle for watching most Bills games via internet stream. I also don't get a chance to read TBD like I should :)

What are your thoughts and opinions regarding Spiller, Troupe and Carrington. My thougts:

    1. Spiller- Everyone says he has great talent I'm sure is the case, but why aren't we using him more? Yesterday was one game that I did happen to catch and I was happy to hear the announcers say that Spiller seems to be making progress, that he no longer looks to hit a home run every time and takes what the D gives him- Thats great, but c'mon. We need to see more out of this guy. Why else did we draft him at number #9? Wilson and Nix both said that we needed a home run player- so lets use him!

    2. Troupe- Saw him involved on a number of positive plays yesterday, but generally speaking, he seems to be having a quiet season. On one hand that is understandable since DLine is a tough position to learn for young guys. On the other hand, you expect your 1st and 2nd round picks to have an immediate impact. Whats going on here?

    3. Carrington- How many games has this guy actually dressed for? Why isn't he playing more?

I guess in general, I'm just worried about the lack of impact that our 1-3 rd picks are having? Makes me wonder what our scouting dept really does.

Please tell me that I'm being overly concerned for nothing... PLEASE.

    GO BILLS!

The name is Troup.... Troup. Why does everyone put an "E" at the end?

I really think Edwards is the wrong man for the job. Probably would have been a good choice for Linebackers coach, but that is about it. These schemes he's putting on the field are awful. No one seems to know their assignments, we can't stop the run even when we scheme specifically for it, and we're dead last against the pass as well. Not a good performance, and they don't appear to be getting better.

Regarding our young guys, either they're holding off on using Spiller and Carrington to preserve them for next season or we're just wasting talent. The fact that Kelsay continues to run around and embarrass this franchise week in and week out and Carrington doesn't even suit up, is just plain moronic.

Dead last in the pass???? I know we are def in the top 10. 9th before giving up 150 yds to the cheifs.

  5. While I admire his candor, the state of the Bills is no laughing matter. It's killing me.

I too respect his honesty, and I do feel Wilson feels bad about losing, but I feel like I have heard this before. 3 years seems like a while for a team in this day and age with free agency and other avenues to be come good again. Yet again, this team is horrible at doing the most fundamental things in football.

  6. I am hoping by next week we hear something about change coming soon. Whether that means personnel or coaching I dont care. I just want to see something different from this team. I am so sick and tired of being SICK AND TIRED!

I still keep some sort of hope. Especially since its 2nd half problems that really kill us. Maybe were tired from a harder training camp than were used too. Maybe its a lack of coaching changes. This team is lacking a lot, but something that should not go over-looked is the lack of leadership on this team.

  7. More like:

    1. Homer Apologist Fanboys

    2. People that watch football and recognize mismanagement and institutional failure

Is that why his chosen starting quarterback was cut after 2 games? Guess Trent should have popped a couple Altoids.

Did you not read my post about the line and trents lack of mobility and pocket presence.

  8. I see there are 2 responses for the most part. One, the ones that agree with me (thank you). Two, the ones that still believe that complaining will change somethings and make them feel better.

I have been a Bills fan for 23 years and seen the good days and bad days. To me, this new regime is something that is fresh and new to me. In the past, with regimes like Mularkey and Williams and even Jauron, I still believed they could get the job done, but wasnt really convinced. This regime is something that is different from past regimes. Instead of making brash decision right when they got there, they wanted to see what already HAD. They waited and then made decisions to get this team where they envision it.

Sure Chan saw Trent all off-season and it was looking good for the most part, but Trents major and glaring problem is his pocket presence and his mobility (please, somebody defend that). With the zero pass-rush we put on opposing qbs it was hard to see this in training camp. Our o line looked decent because our defensive line is below average besides Edwards and Williams. So when the bullets started flying I think Chan said "Wow" this guy panics and cannot do what we need him to do. And without keeping him around they told him "thanks but no thanks".

As you see the Patriots(winning organization), they get something out of players before they leave for nothing. Trading Marshawn was our way of doing that. Trading Moss was there way of doing that. We have good rbs still and they have good wrs still. THAT WHAT GOOD TEAMS DO. Buddy understands that.

From day 1 I have been impressed with Buddy Nix, I really love that man. Not only does he really know what a good football player looks like but he can pick them out for the future, as he says; "smell there breath."

Unlike other regimes they have a direction (some of you dont what to believe it), but with the trades and releases they have made so far, I dont know how to make it any clearer. We pick up Urbick, trade Marshawn, cut Trent. They know what they want and they are going to get it. It may take some time(a thing you guys dont want to give them) but to think they could change this team drastically within 4 games is utterly ridiculous!
